- Clips of the Brian vs Dark Patriot mask match where Patriot is revealed as Doug Gilbert. After that is a Doug interview and a video package of the feud they have had in 1994. After that is a Brian interview and he gets attacked by Tommy Rich and Doug. This is leading to a hair match between the two.

They really made Brian look weak in his feuds. He either got beatup every week, won then the heels got their heat back or he always had to be saved by some veteran star. It almost feels that they didn’t have the confidence in him to carry the company.
I’d pay $100 right now for a WWE style DVD set on this feud, with real interviews from everybody. Lawler, Hales, Doug, Missy, Tommy, etc. And all the matches. It was the last of the good ole feuds, with a dash of 90s flavor thrown in. And it’s still going kinda. Doug and Tommy still wrestle Lawler and Spellbinder at Indy shows. It’s like Bret vs Shawn or Sting vs Flair. It will never really end.
Seemed like a good heated rivalry. I like the mic work of both
It was and it was great. Memphis was on it’s way back up in big part because of this feud. They had an ECW type thing going on. They had an oldschool foundation with a few new flavors added to make a cool alternative that would have made alot more noise had they got some breaks. They got into some kind of trouble with their local TV station IIRC, which led to Doug Gilbert’s shoot promo in a roundabout way which was the last straw.
