I am 100 percent in agreement with the value of trust in work and all environments. Is the world ready for this concept. Trust has always been around, but hardly ever lived. What a wonderful world this would be if we lived the principles Steven M.R. Covey teaches. I guess the place to start is with myself.
In the "current" COVID ridden world, Trust is far more important than ever, with debates on Hybrid working, having Trust in your team to carry out the work is essential, it's also important for the team to Trust in their Leadership and Management Team, Trust is a 2 way street, this Video really hit home for me.
I am here because my system analysis lecturer sent me, i must say very interesting video, i learned a lot about trust, most of the stuff is what he had already expanded on in class, great video/lecturer, i actually stayed and listen for 20+ mins. amazing!
starting around 15 minutes in: Trust is a function of credibility (character [integrity/intent or motive] and competence[capabilities/results or performance]) and behavior (what we do and how we do it) and it generates reciprocity; conversely, without trust energy and joy go down and cost and speed go up. Behavior has 13 high leverage ones; talk straight, demonstrate respect, create transprarency, right wrongs, show loyalty, deliver results, get better, confront reality, clarify expectation, practice accountability, listen first, keep commitment, and extend trust. Leaders go first, they extend trust- how, through behavior (as listed above). You can restore trust by extending it through behavior.
As of 5/16/2021, 97% (or 777 people) gave this presentation a thumbs up 👍, and 3% (or 25 people) gave it a thumbs down 👎. I think we know which group is trustworthy.
Relevant more than ever!

Bravo. I loved Stephen's dad and am glad to see this video. I took seven pages of notes on this and will buy his audio book. Bravo!

What an inspiring speech on trust. It is mind blowing, I did not know that trust has economic and business values. Thanks a million Mr Covey
His voice kills me
He sounds like Trump
Great info here but I feel you. A little too close to Joel Osteen

Very very very insightful ,thanks very much sir
A wonderful concept and masterfully delivered. Difficult to understand the 20 who disliked it. A long way to go for those individuals perhaps.
Great stuff - thanks Stephen
12:50 Nothing attracts and retains people like a high-trust team / culture. Nothing repels people like a low trust culture. It changes everything.

Copying Dad's speech style...very irritating
That's his normal voice. A few of his sons have the same speech patterns.
