A tourist submarine went missing during a dive to Titanic's wreck in the mid-Atlantic, prompting a large-scale search and rescue operation. The US Coast Guard reported losing contact with the sub approximately one hour and 45 minutes into its dive. OceanGate, the tour firm responsible, is exploring all options to rescue the five people on board. With tickets priced at $250,000 for an eight-day trip featuring dives to the wreck at a depth of 3,800m, government agencies, the US and Canadian navies, and commercial deep-sea firms are assisting in the rescue effort. The missing sub, identified as OceanGate's Titan submersible, typically carries a four-day emergency oxygen supply and is approximately the size of a truck. Sadly, the coast guard later announced that the passengers died when the submersible imploded. I watched that lady’s interview on BBC few says ago. No, she doesn’t sound American from her accent or even British for that matter. She sounded European, couldn’t catch the accent. I didn’t see a tear in her eye, considering she lost her husband and 19 year old son recently. She was quite composed, considering what had happened. She said she was supposed to go with her husband initially, but the son went instead. And that she was on the support ship when it all happened. Very sad.
