+coldwarmotors whats the price range? hey man there seems to be a large concentration of nice vehicles around your area... any good old pontiacs? i have a 52 two door hard top chiefton Been building it for four years. great show bro keep up the good work
Good grief, how could I have missed this episode!? Yellow Nash looks really great with its green windows. Great find, Congrats. Thanks a lot for saving taping editing uploading and sharing.
The first car I remember my mom driving was a 1950 Nash Statesman. Somehow my dad found it sitting in the weeds in someone's backyard. I was about four at the time. I went with them as they took a logging chain and pulled the thing out. It was love at first sight. Only took me about forty years to own one of my own....
👍👌👏 The ole bumper KARGARD donator (for my favourite CWM car, the gorgeous inside and outside green daily driver Frazer). Best regards luck and health.
Wow! This was the first car I was taught to drive. Grandfather had a 52 with the three speed and hydraulically activated overdrive. Gold with a factory maroon roof. It was an amazing car!
+John Anderson Hey, thanks for the note; glad you liked it! I sure wish it was roadworthy, but I still love having it parked with all the others. Cheers!
No way! For a while last year I had my eye on the Kijiji ad for this car...it really intrigued me. I thought it would look awesome slammed and painted something obnoxious, like lime gold or persimmon orange. I even did a little photoshop sketch to see how it could look when finished. This car would make an amazing and truly unique cruiser for an ambitious builder. It would make a great "mascot" car for a business. So glad you guys saved it, even if it is really rough.
Hey, thanks for the note, and for checking out the video... I knew I needed this car as soon as I saw the ad; it was the last independent brand my "abandoned used car lot" was missing... I just love this car; of all the cars in my row of heaps, this is the one I wish I could drive. I'll keep looking for a parts car to combine with this one so it could be saved. It's the top-of-the-line model, too, with tinted glass and all the best trim! Also, thanks for the kind words you posted on the Jalopnik forum; a friend saw the thread and forwarded it to me, so cheers for that!
Owned a 54' Ambassador in the 60's, it was my Grandad's before. Ran fine, not dent or broken anything in it. Straight six, dual side draft carbs, three on the tree, "real" overdrive planetary transmission. Seats made a full bed. Weird starter switch on the clutch pedal. Continental wheel on the back. Wish I had it now, who knew?
***** Hey, thanks for watching it. It really is very complete... too bad it sat around outside for so long; the collision damage isn't really too bad, but there is rust in the lower half of the car...
Your really welcome mate ...cars that sit in grass underneath suffers ...mate wish you were up the road as i'd be the first there with my spanners to help .keep sending those great video's all the best colin..[farr64]
Love your videos.I wish you guys were closer. I live in PEI.I would love to see your collection. I'm going to put a visit to your place on my "bucket list" lol Great job as always. Keep saving those beauties.
that nash is awesome! you guys are the just the kind of derelicts i run with. if you need another "agent" down here in arizona let me know. our vintage parts are the best!
I think that '52 Nash will still run! in l990 I was selling cars at a buy-here pay-here lot in Denver. we took a '73 AMC Matador in trade. ugly as sin and almost no oil in it. there was a cold snap in late November. got down to -25. the only car on the lot that kicked right over was...the '73 Matador.
Reminded me of my first car I bought, which was only this past january lol. I went to look at a '64 Impala and it was about 20 degrees out, it was sitting the past 8 months with a dead battery, old oil, and bad plugs, started up immediately with a new battery and I bought it a few weeks later :D Love my '64 ss!
Jack Mitchell Thanks! I'll see if there's time to tinker on it a bit this summer, but I have a lot of others to get going, too... Cheers from us here at CWMC!
Was just wondering when you'd post another video. I'm glad I don't have the room like you do or I'd have just as many projects as you! lol. I live in downtown Vancouver and just have my 1972 Pontiac Laurentian and 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III. Great job, neighbour!
Now that you have a parts car does this one qualify as a will it run special next summer? That challenge to get those straight 8s going was great to watch!
I’m so lucky. I couldn’t. Find. This. Video. Remember. Watching it. Came. Our. Should. Say. When. You posted. If. I ever. Win. The Loto. Ill. Pay you. To repair. The. Basics. To make. It. Road. Worthy. Thanks. So. Much. Did not. Know anything. Of these cars. I was. Born. In. 1955❤❤❤❤❤
In 1960 the family car was a Rambler Cross Country wagon. It was a pretty decent car. In '64 it was traded in for a Tempest custom with the 326. In '66 I got my learner's permit and finally flew solo the following year. Is that a carter YH underneath the snow?
The Kaiser model at the beginning, resurfaced in Argentina in 1955 as part of a deal between the Peron government and Kaiser motors. Parts are available there today .
+Bryce Sheedy A Good locksmith can impression a key for any car. Might have trouble finding blanks but many cars from that era were interchangeable. I once impression a key for a 64 Volvo using a Master padlock blank. Try to find a locksmith who loves the old iron, we are around.
They started to put the AMC 327 eights in these in 56 so you have another engine choice. One of the hood ornimetes was of a lady swimming! Gas cap was behind the chrome above right rear tail light.
+coldwarmotors I like the rear window, and it might even rival the Breezeway back window. He had the neat rear windowed car market cornered... too many adjectives.
ignorants may make fun of nash with silly name ""upside down bathtub"" but then also i pity on them that they cant recognize the beauty..this nash is so awesome, with that front bar on front its looking bold..i say peeps keep hating nash until we nash fans collect our favs, this way we will get our favs easily ..
Good to see you're back! Your collection is getting bigger and bigger! A nice and extraordinary car, hope you will get it running again. Did you manage to open the trunk? Any finds?
AudioMobil Hey! Good to hear from you. Yes, the collection is getting a little out of control! I didn't find any more treasures in the Nash, unfortunately, but I'm still very happy with it. Top Secret: I just got a car that I really think you're going to like... a lot. Will post video as soon as it's on the road...
One more suggestion next time you buy tires get you some toyo Eclipse white walls definitely need white walls on that year. The Toyota Eclipse makes a maximum load range tire in a white wall that will handle the weight of a big vehicle and still makes a white wall for reasonable price.
I may have had a ride in one like this back when I was 10 years old . I had no clue what I was riding in at the time other than it was a very different car .
If the Nash is stuck, put another engine and trans in it. A Dodge or Chev...something you have abundance of. Drive that beauty in the yard. Fix the door. You can do it!
That 52 Nash is pretty cool, that's definitely something you do not see anymore, I rather see more cars like the ones you have then all the Mustangs out there. How old is Stella she looks pretty agile still.
redneckbryon Hey, thanks for checking out the Nash! I agree that the weird stuff is more fun. Stella just turned nine years old; she still makes me laugh every day.
thanks for posting the video! one question, where would you ever find glass for a car like that? I can imagine there is no re pop for a car like this, what a neat car though, good find!
Shane S Hi! Thanks for checking it out... Flat side glass is no problem; it can be cut at any glass shop, and windshields are available for just about anything. The rear glass would only be available used though. Glad you liked the Nash! Cheers.
coldwarmotors Me too. You can just marvel at this thing, with nice design touches everywhere, it is an icon. I would love to see this car moving again. This is surely a future candidate. Keep up the essential work !
I suspect that the last clip is the same day "Same Old Shit" was immortalized on the big screen. So "Josh" is the guy with the shades I thought was Dean setting down his drink as Tom says it?
Hi! I do not believe so; they were competing independent companies. They are actually quite different engineering-wise; the Frazer is a conventional body-on -frame design and the Nash is a unibody-style structure. Cheers!
Would be great if you guys could get it running. I love the bathtub Nash's, there just isn't too many of them left. Watching for a new 'Will it run" with baited breath.
SB Bohanga Yeah, I bet it would go, but looks like it would have to come completely apart... I am finishing 2 other "Will it Run" cars as we speak, though! Thanks for watching this stuff... cheers!
Stella will always be sorely missed....that dog had a soul, I'm convinced of it.
- Ed
Nice add to the collection. I love that you save cars nobody else would bother with.
1955RodHot Thanks! Glad you like the weird stuff too; sometimes I just see a car and I know I have to buy it because no one else is going to...
+coldwarmotors whats the price range? hey man there seems to be a large concentration of nice vehicles around your area... any good old pontiacs? i have a 52 two door hard top chiefton Been building it for four years. great show bro keep up the good work
Nash looks great on one side front to back 👏 👌 😍
I've got a 41 Nash Ambassador. It's one tough old car. Runs like nobody's business. I drive it every day! Nice to see other Nash's
Good grief, how could I have missed this episode!? Yellow Nash looks really great with its green windows. Great find, Congrats.
Thanks a lot for saving taping editing uploading and sharing.
Thanks for saving a part of automotive history.
+1949kf Thanks for checking it out! Cheers.
Nash has become one of my favorite car brands. Very unique looking. Hope you get it running some day!

roosty6 Thanks; glad you liked it... I figured it would be right at home here!

Hey, thanks for checking it out! Yeah, we have to save these orphan cars so people can appreciate them! Cheers from me and Stel.
Ah... Stella. Mini Franks is doing her proud, though.
We just bought a '54 Nash Rambler for 5K here in Washington state. Rusland all original. This video is a real inspiration. Thanks.
My Granddad had one of those. You guys are a hoot!
The first car I remember my mom driving was a 1950 Nash Statesman. Somehow my dad found it sitting in the weeds in someone's backyard. I was about four at the time. Love this. Video love the Nash. This. Car. Should. Be. Restored. I know. Market price is not there. But. Someday. Maybe. Thanks again. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey man, you guys find some pretty cool cars, some of which have less rust than I'd think a car sitting in a field in Canada would have, eh...
Beauty it’s Real. Complete. Thanks
Cool collection .Glad your saving them .Take care guys .
Mordoor 53 Thanks! Glad you like 'em.
Those are the coolest cars.Kudos on getting it loaded up in the cold. Great interior. I'm liking your auto line up you have . See ya

That is a rare find I have never heard of or seen a Nash ambassador
Great video. The Nash looked quite complete and sound apart from the damage great to see a new video ....
***** Hey, thanks for watching it. It really is very complete... too bad it sat around outside for so long; the collision damage isn't really too bad, but there is rust in the lower half of the car...

DRIFTBEATS WAR ON TREAD Hey, thanks a lot for watching this stuff. We have at least 2 more WIR episodes on the way soon! Cheers!

Jeff Joy Thanks! Will do!
Cool old Nash
that nash is awesome! you guys are the just the kind of derelicts i run with. if you need another "agent" down here in arizona let me know. our vintage parts are the best!
We had a kelvinator fridge with that same door pressing design on the door .
I prefer the 1950's Nashes, love the round backside with the almost center rear lights and the Uniscope gauges. Still a nice ride this one!

Jack Mitchell Thanks! I'll see if there's time to tinker on it a bit this summer, but I have a lot of others to get going, too... Cheers from us here at CWMC!
Nice fleet! I have a 39 plymouth and 2 46 dodge wc'ckeep up the outstanding work!!
Thanks for the note! Always nice to hear from others with the Car Sickness. Cheers!
I wholeheartedly agree; Cold War Motors is a classy place with classy cars!
Thank you for the video
Was just wondering when you'd post another video. I'm glad I don't have the room like you do or I'd have just as many projects as you! lol. I live in downtown Vancouver and just have my 1972 Pontiac Laurentian and 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III. Great job, neighbour!
KR K Hey, thanks! I've got a lot of videos coming up this summer, I hope... I sure have plenty of junkers to work on!
Had poodles like that growing up nice Nash and Kaiser.
Now that you have a parts car does this one qualify as a will it run special next summer? That challenge to get those straight 8s going was great to watch!

Dang! That one looks GOOD!!!!
dccrosley Not too bad, hey? Glad you liked it. It looks good on "the lot", haha. Cheers!
coldwarmotors definitely worth saving and driving.Hope the motor isn't locked up!. I love all of your car scavenging videos.

+Bryce Sheedy A Good locksmith can impression a key for any car. Might have trouble finding blanks but many cars from that era were interchangeable. I once impression a key for a 64 Volvo using a Master padlock blank. Try to find a locksmith who loves the old iron, we are around.
I really really really want to see this Nash run and drive. I don't know why but I like those old Nashs must be a Minnesota thing.
Alton Worlie i
that was so weird, when you showed the side of the block and the plugs were out,the wind whooshed in tandem, or great sound effects you put in there
Great video
They started to put the AMC 327 eights in these in 56 so you have another engine choice. One of the hood ornimetes was of a lady swimming! Gas cap was behind the chrome above right rear tail light.
That speedometer reminds me of the one on our '62 Rambler station wagon.
now that's a real nice whiskey dent there
really like the savoy 57 that's cool as hell!
bob morris Great! I hope you'll like the upcoming "Will it Run?" episode featuring that very car!
Oh yea, you definitely needed another classic. She's a runner.
bg147 I thought so too! Nash was the only brand I was missing, so when this popped up, I knew I should save it.
+coldwarmotors I like the rear window, and it might even rival the Breezeway back window. He had the neat rear windowed car market cornered... too many adjectives.

I made this comment by mistake anyway sorry
My classic battery should be a thing
Kaiser were made in Willow Run Michigan and Nash in Kenosha Wisconsin. Vale both Nash and Kaiser.
I may have had a ride in one like this back when I was 10 years old . I had no clue what I was riding in at the time other than it was a very different car .
That 58 Chevy is nice.
This has to be the picture car next to the quote: "You can't polish a turd".
If the Nash is stuck, put another engine and trans in it. A Dodge or Chev...something you have abundance of. Drive that beauty in the yard. Fix the door. You can do it!
nice unit
wate..on the 57 plaza how many different hubcaps were on left front ???
Wow man, my friend's dad has a 51 Ambassador, this and his are in about the same condition (minus the hit on the drivers side)
That 52 Nash is pretty cool, that's definitely something you do not see anymore, I rather see more cars like the ones you have then all the Mustangs out there.

redneckbryon Hey, thanks for checking out the Nash! I agree that the weird stuff is more fun. Stella just turned nine years old; she still makes me laugh every day.
Jesus that looks cold. What's all that white stufff? I think I might have seen something like that here in Aus! Love your great old cars.
Straight 8 show down?

I like it!
Where is that?????
How can u register this car no paper work ?
Shame the plugs were left out. They were nice engines too. Packard wasn't it ? Maybe a new motor for the Nash will avail itself sometime..?
+MungoidHen Perhaps? Meanwhile it is safe and I love looking at it! Cheers!
coldwarmotors Me too. You can just marvel at this thing, with nice design touches everywhere, it is an icon. I would love to see this car moving again. This is surely a future candidate. Keep up the essential work !
Love old Nash's. How many cars do you have.
Is this the Red Green Show? This is really funny.
Great old 50's special! What Orc would take the SPARK PLUGS OUT of an engine???
My happy. Place. When. My. Beautiful wife. Says. I watch. To much. You tube. I luck. Up. Your. Nash. Love. This. Video. ❤❤❤❤❤
I suspect that the last clip is the same day "Same Old Shit" was immortalized on the big screen.
So "Josh" is the guy with the shades I thought was Dean setting down his drink as Tom says it?
Back in the day they were referred to as bathtubs.
all your previous classics seem to be getting grown in, you need to get them all running for the year and take them for a spin
I knew you guys were stoners! Haha, shout out from scotland keep up the vids bud!
rob098890 Will do! Cheers from Canada!
The nice gimmick is to lift that stick shift to start the car.
Soooo close - if it had been left with plugs in, as a write off, possibly would be in complete ready to run order.
Hi, you guys are great! Do you sell those cars after you get them running?
Was Nash and Kaiser made at same plant? They always looked so simuliar of build!
Hi! I do not believe so; they were competing independent companies. They are actually quite different engineering-wise; the Frazer is a conventional body-on -frame design and the Nash is a unibody-style structure. Cheers!
cool I will watch for that vid as well as others...ps smoke a pointy one for me..
Got any new videos coming out? I love watching your videos!!
Thanks for watching this stuff... cheers!
Any progress on the Nash? I think a complete engine rebuild is warranted, if that's what it takes. ;)
3:39, restauration begins...
Do you ever get titles for these cars?
Just curious, what did you have to pay for this wonderful Nash.
