Obviously these the pages in these types of books are “coated”, so perhaps a gesso before using any type of painting or texture building medium. A towel with a warm iron will help flatten the pages as well. 🦋
I love that you shared the book in its original form before you did any altering. Thank you for showing the steps that you've taken so far. I look forward to trying some of the tips you showed here!

I love this journal and you great idea of how to transform it. Have seen this on occasion and never knew what to do with one 👍 Question: how long did you let the pages dry before you did the next one? Thx so much 🙂
This book is beautiful!i really like how your altering it ! Just a question, did you wait for each page to dry before moving on to the next? That would've taken you hours to do the whole book??
Thank you! Yes I did it over the course of a week - throughout the day I would do a page then leave to dry as I did something else, then come back throughout the day :)

Thank you so much for this video......I learned alot. Adding coffee to remove the glossy is brilliant. I hate glossy pages....now i have an option.
Yay!! There’s still a slight gloss but it’s nothing a little bit of clear gesso can’t fix! ☺️
@@megjournals I hope there is iother alternative for clear gesso......It is so expensive here in our country
Love it!!😍😍
Thank you!!
I love this journal and you great idea of how to transform it. Have seen this on occasion and never knew what to do with one 👍
Question: how long did you let the pages dry before you did the next one? Thx so much 🙂
Can I decoupage my cloth to the front of my book I glued it down now I want to decoupage the top of it
Ooh you could try, I’ve never done decoupage before!
Hey Meg do you know who makes this book or it's official name?
