I just bought this model. I called SharkNinja before I saw your video. One of the Qs I had was the purpose of the upper position - there are 2 positions: lower and upper. You used the lower position, which I believe is the most commonly used position. You can use the basket without the crisper plate, but the crisper plate allows air circulation for crispier results. There are 2 purposes for the upper position (which happens when you insert the crisper plate at 90 degrees so that the "cutouts" on the crisper plate are located front/back, thus allowing the crisper plate to catch the ledge in the basket): (1) if you want to cook 2 levels of food separately, and (2) if you want to broil something, such as melting cheese on your food. I really wish ninja would drop the two prong cord and provide a more heavy to the three prong cord for these air fryers. I find that the power cord gets Exceptionally hot during use.

I bought this model strictly for the Max Crisp 450*. I have a smaller Ninja and use the 450* all the time!

Thank you very much for the review. I just purchased this exact unit, from Amazon. I noticed, at the end of the cooking cycle, the unit continues to run. I was under the impression, it is supposed to shut off on its own. How long does yours take to finally shut off, after completing a heating cycle? Best wishes and thanks, once again.

i have Tefal and makes the fryes in 15 - 20 min maximum on 200 degree .. this one 30 min in 300 degree ? I think is weak and the temperature is really not correct .. my friend Airfryer is stronger than mine and cook them in 16 min also in 200 degree. On top of that both are cheaper than this one. One of the reasons to buy airfryer is to cook fast .. this one is the slowest one i ever heard of. Cant imagine how long will take to cook meat. 20 min max on any meat i put inside often leave it on 17-18 for small things like chicken wings or they get burned.

Might be a good idea to read the user manual before making a review video. The crisper plate can be set to two different heights depending on which way it is inserted into the basket.
