Lossy is a digital degradation funhouse that is a plug-in from Ghz that I use FREQUENTLY and is now in physical form that I can throw right in my pedalboard signal chain 🫨 The timing worked out that I had a few days off tour in the same area as my long-time production student Camden (@camden.edie) so what better way to hang out than to push a bunch of buttons and go “wooOoooOoh!!!”

Snacks: ""Do you wanna just play a riff"
Camden: plays the intro to Right In Two
Actually made my day lol
Very very cool pedal!
girl look like she ain't even been born when ten thousand days come out
yeah I heard that and was like "there's no way"
@@eaterdrinker000I'm pretty sure no young person wants to hear they look any younger than 21 years 😜
But yeah, that kinda made my morning
This is so cool, involving students in your videos! Nice one! 😊😉👌✌️👍 I wish my niece had someone like you in her learning. Great job!
I love how Camden went right for an epic Tool riff!
girl look like she ain't even been born when ten thousand days come out
@@eaterdrinker000 You seem like you weren't even born when Undertow was released. And you even managed to write this exact sentence TWICE in two following comments? Don't you have better things to do with your life?
@@Liliedugg : It was a joke, purposefully written in non-standard English, meant to compliment a seemingly young woman's guitar playing ability.
Great overview Bad Snacks & Camden, so glad got your students open to processing sound with actual pedals, especially with chase bliss sense of innovation and fresh interpretation of the plugin. Keep the fun in creativity alive 👾
Jesse, It is so wonderful seeing you as a mentor. Good call on not showing Camden finished results of what she created. As you know from experience, the comment section could be full of compliments or horrible critiques. But it is nice to see that she knows the process of creating with your time lapsed montage.
I appreciate your comment! To be fair, the audio that you hear at the end IS the beat that she made. She sequenced the drums, played the bass line, and played guitar - I just threw on some violin and organelle :)
guitar pedals on synths always a good idea
Chase Bliss takes you to different galaxies with every new pedal.
Too cool. The moment I heard this pedal in a demo I immediately thought of your sound design. Camden came up with some great stuff too!
Love this, and love that you’re involving your students! I’m so jealous of them:-) Wish you had been a professor in my college days and I could’ve taken your classes. I’d be so much further along by now!
The switch at 7:06 messed me up for a second haha. Great video!
Nice guitar playing, Camden! Thanks for the vid, y'all.
That was just so cool! Back in the day, I was a middle school orchestra director and a guitar ensemble director, and I had a music production program where I taught Ableton Live. Best job I ever had, and this video took me right back. You're a great teacher, bad snacks!
I respect the heck out of y'all who've got the ability to just try every single possible sound from any pedal/computer program and don't get overwhelmed.
Guitar/bass is all I can handle lol
this was great
So, awesome! You are developing skills helping the younger one. I really like that!
Heard your song "puppy love" on my google photo slide. I love the style you make your music.
Now this is epic
Like the old school Beach House style keyboard sound used for the demo.
Look for 'per la Luna'. Fuckin fire.
Oh wow this was the "secret" to the sound from some of the tracks to Phoebe Bridgers "Punisher" so interesting product indeed
Indeed, and there are a lot of different tools which do the same. Mine is a SP404 and a 8 bit sampler.
Hi bad snacks, were you in gbyso late 2000s early 2010s? I’m pretty sure I remember being in either rep or bys with you. Just found your channel, love your content!
hey yes i was!! :)
@@badsnacks awesome! Glad to see you’re doing well and still playing. Just getting into amplified violin now, so I’ll be watching more of your content for inspo :)
👏👏👏
Nice
Hey Snacks! Which violin are you using in this video?
Damn the sound on guitar is unreal.
What? Playing Tool !
Nice :)
And number 14, that is a big thing in the Netherlands Camden. Number 14 has a huge soccer stadium named after him.
I want one 😏
Your $3000 setup can be turn into $10 flea market toy organ with only $399 via LOSSY. 🙃
baller
Dear lord, is it so hard to understand lossless vs lossy? Lossless = files like flac = can be compressed BUT you can basically export them back to pcm without loosing any original data. Lossy - once you compress the file using any of the lossy algorytms, your data in frequency spectrum is gone. Lossless - files like FLAC. Lossy - MP3s of all sorts, ogg etc.
That's awesome how you get you are very talented. I love your music. Someday I hope to do a feature film. I would love your music on it. You have such a unique sound.
Came for the pedal. Stayed after the tool riff 😊
why is Pam doing pedal reviews
I'm not sure I understand this pedal
There is no proper way to categorize Bad Snacks. She is clearly too musical to be lo-fi, she's too sophisticated to be elevator music, she's not "boom boom" enough to be EDM, too rhythmic to be ambient, yet too serene to be rock. Too organic to be electronic, not lyrical or beat driven enough to be hop hip, not aggressive enough to be "house" music so many she is a new genre of "home" music haha. So good to listen to when you're home / reminds you of home etc. It's music that's good for the soul, resonating with a sense of warmth and familiarity.
This is so sweet, thank you so much!!
And so accurate.
Some azzlicker want to became puzzylicker 😏
