Im watching now. Will give more commentary soon... Sanur sounds like best for me - if I HAD to choose. Thanks for the AWESOME breakdown and comparisons, Benjamin. ~ Tazzz ~
I'm single and always go to start in Sanur. I like to have peace and quit beaches and not too much traffic. I always travel to the North, which is more my place to stay. Tulamben, Amed, and Pemuteran are my favourite places
Sanur really is so peaceful, especially for still having access to everything you need, and even being so close to Seminyak / Kuta if you really need to buy something not in the area, or to visit. My next visit to Bali will be to try Ubud and the north like Amed + Tulamben!
I suggest a trip to Ubud, did you go there before? Probably the best choice of restaurants, cheap accommodation, temples, hiking and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. Lots to see and do to keep you occupied! Definitely my choices are Sanur and Ubud!
Somehow I still haven't gotten myself to Ubud. I kept having trouble finding an accomodation for the right price which also had a work desk and kitchen, it never lined up properly so I kept choosing a different area. It's the area I'm most interested in seeing in Bali at this point, but I'll be saving it for the next visit since I'm leaving soon, and it'll make it more difficult to get to the US Consulate to get my passport when it arrives. Nice to hear Sanur and Ubud is your favorite, I'd probably really enjoy Ubud in that case.
This has been very helpful! As Im looking to spend about 5 days chilling on the beach. Im drawn to the beautiful beaches of Uluwatu. But I don’t drive a bike. Are there a lot of Gojek bike taxis for hire in Uluwatu? I like that I can walk and cycle in Sanur. But don’t want to miss out on the beautiful scenery and rugged cliffs and beaches of Uluwatu…I Like a place that is fairly quiet. (Not full of families, or party crowd) Suggestions?
I'd say definitely go to Uluwatu even if no bike. There are unlimited available Gojek / Grab bike taxis for sure, you'll be good! Stay in the south of Uluwatu and it's not too busy, it was mostly busy in holiday time for me. Enjoy it!
Oh wow. You said of the three, Canggu is the lowest on ur list if u had to choose. 🥺...since ur there now. Any word on ur Passport, so you can go back to Thailand?
I still feel comfotable in Canggu because I've spent the most time there and it's the only place I have a good circle of friends in Bali. The social scene in Canggu is the strongest. There's also much more accomodations in Canggu than the others, so I do typically find myself going back to Canggu as my base if I'm spending a long time in Bali. It's just the most stressful, mostly during high season or any holidays. Now in low season it's much more managable. No word on my passport but hopefully next week.
Hey Ben, is that rubbish on the beach behind you? I heard Bali beaches are very littered, is that true from your experience? I'm visiting Bali for 3 weeks in May ❤️
Yea it’s trash/garbage on the beach. You’ll see it in Canggu/Seminyak the most. In Sanur the beach is quite clean but since this part I’m at has no shops, it’s not cleaned up. Uluwatu beaches are clean and the most pristine for sure. Do you know what area you’re visiting?
I know it’s not your nature nor mine but if you can start off the video with a little more energy or enthusiasm I think it will help your channel grow.. or even have some type of intro with some B-roll and maybe some musics behind it.. but it’s your channel and you can do what you want.. just constructive criticism.. good luck with everything
I completely disagree. I love that there's no music in the video, the unedited rawness, straight to the facts and info. So many annoying videos on UA-cam from people being fake, giving fake enthusiasm and doing 1 minute long intros. Keep doing what you're doing Ben, it's refreshing to see.
@@HandbagmadTVthat’s good to hear, I think there’s definitely a portion of people who prefer an unedited style. I think if I add some more cuts to change the scenery and each clip a bit shorter instead of one long shot, but still keep it mostly unedited, I can please both sides 😁
And more breaks with different scenes.. split it up more when talking.. it will require more editing at the end but it will make a better video for the algorithm
Good question. I can, expensive bills and traffic is stuck, I cant figure out why people want to come here to visit... and/or much less invest and LIVE HERE. The Bali TODAY (past 2 years since covid) is like living in the concrete jungle with uncivilized people and no infrastructure, roads, safety is out the door . There is contaminated food , unhealthy food full of preservatives, dirty pond water for public water, scams, corruption, high prices, forced into TMTC spiritual holidays, garbage dumped at universities and students don't , worst health care and hospitals I have ever experienced. Don't ever get surgery here. They are not real doctors. They only see Bule (foreigners) as suckers to give them money. Don't come here it sucks.

Sanur is great, the combination of accessibility and peacefulness is really nice! Thanks for the comment.

That place is beautiful where your at
Such a nice spot and so empty, Sanur really is great in that regard.

@@benfishermin thanks for info, no idea what area I'm going to stay in. Still figuring it out. I like quieter areas so Sanur sounds ok
after this sanur more busy because mayo clinic hospital open in sanur
Interesting, do you think the hospital will bring more people/traffic to the area?
