You drove both courses exceptionally well mate, very proud of you. Ian is an excellent driver and a fantastic ambassador for Procrawler/Flatgekko but you made the most of the little Lowshido for sure. Gotta love a GCRC Caiman C1 chassis build. It's designed around the Element running gear to enable just this kind of thing to happen. It's always great to have you come over to BERCC, you're support is very much appreciated. Hopefully, we'll see you next year. Take care, Sean.
Firstly, well done. Truly was a brilliant result on a hard pair of courses just shows what you can do. Cant wait for the re-match! Secondly big thanks to the organisers BERCC who put on an amazing event and for GCRC for Sponsoring the series. Great video of the whole event.
Great job, it's funny, you go out for shits n giggles then you do so well you think "holy crap, I have a real chance here" and then the pressure is on.
If you're not giving Phil a like, subscribing, clicking the bell emoji, well why are you here? Every 👏 single 👏 ones 👏 of 👏 ya's 👏 NOW, NOW, NOW, it's free, painless and takes 2 seconds. Surely something you'd do for a champion like Phil Tomley, yeah?
Congratulations Phil, you're certainly too humble. You've got some advance techniques and with strategic thinking you took a self built, humble budget crawler to first place. Such a great watch.
nice job mate, really proud of you. very ironic timing considering I was about to buy a BUSHIDOOOO for a rental rig for the friend visiting this week from out of state
Congrats sir ! It seems like crawling is your brightest side 🙂Crawling is underestimated by many hobby fans ços it is slow and boring . But all they're wrong. Crawling requires a bunch of skills, which not many of us have : On first place - razor sharp mind to choose thee right path thru the obstacles , to avoid roll offs, reverse manuvers, and at the same time to be fast enough on the coarse . Everyone can get a bully strong basher and make some donuts and noise on his backyard, or to speed up his rig to the limit and eventually crash it , but to be a good crawler pilot is a different "beer"🙂 Well done mate !
What an awesome video, i have to be honest, the way you edited this together, the way you tell the story, brilliant, one of your best videos. I hope this video does really well for you, its a great piece of cinematography!
The chassis you put on the crawler looks great and performed really well. The course built by the group looked great. I was trying to picture the effort it took to build the rocks you were running in Class 2. Getting all those big rocks in place took some real effort and thought. You drove exceptionally well. I know nothing about crawling, but the short wheel base seemed to be an advantage. I see more and more reviews that give positive grades to the Element line. You should feel great about your win. Congratulations.
Yeah that short wheelbase helps, just like in full size.. I had a Toyota about the same year as yours (Except lifted on 33s and the 22R motor) Out 4wheelin I got stuck in a bog/swamp, My buddy that was with me had a stock Sammi on smaller than stock tires and he was literally driving circles around me with water spilling over his doors (deep baby) By the end of the month I had myself a samurai (the first of many)
Glad you had a good experience with GCRC, myself not so much. Had a Treal gear fail after a few uses on my SCX6 and point blank refused to help or offer replacement, discount or contact Treal for me even after I sent a video of it breaking with zero abuse (I’ve since went back to standard gears and not had a problem) was definitely a manufacturer issue (I know Gareth doesn’t make them but was extremely disappointed with the lack of help) really wanted to like the GCRC brand but left a bad taste in my mouth.
@@TomleyRC nobody was as surprised as much as me, to be fair, communication was instant, postage was essentially next day too. So Gareth’s service was impeccable… He had just sealed the deal with Treal (Wendy possibly, name slips my mind, I blame it on my brain tumour 🤯) I had big plans for budget builds etc to work alongside GCRC.. then on second outing with the overdrive front gearing for the SCX6 (all shimmed, video on my channel) the gears stripped (again, video on my channel) I contacted Gareth simply asking for him to reach out to Wendy in case there was a manufacturing issue as this was the first run of the gears. He refused to do so 🤷♂️ Left a bitter taste as I was not expecting that reaction at all. It got my back up, I took the hump.. Pity really as I’m an avid crawler fan and would have loved to have worked alongside him. I had sang his praises prior to this.. and to be fair it’s the first time I’ve spoken about it since… (was almost 18 months ago) Maybe I got him on a bad week, I just felt it wasn’t his call to decide on the quality issue I had and should have been forwarded to Treal.
Nice one Phil!! Might have to invest in a crawler. Never saw the appeal before this. I was glued to the screen. My epoxy went off! Ps. Defo looking for singing competition video. 😂
Great job! Since you wanted to keep that bit of bumper, I probably would recommend using a heat gun and try to bend it forward just a bit to help the tires clear.
Very nice. It really is amazing how just a couple small changes make such huge differences to the rig. I am in the middle of taking spare Scx10 parts and trying to make a belly dragger out of it. It's been fun so far... Great run out there man. Awesome work on the Bushido as well. :)
HEY!! rumor has it, (Scale Builders Guild) you are HERE in St. Johns????? I was shocked!!!!! If you need anything let me know. 😉I could bring you to some AWESOME crawling spots. close
You forgot to mention the “skinny” jeans..lol. No but if I’m doing regular comments this was a great crawler video and also really entertaining throughout. Great job 💯
Nice driving! I saw on Crawler Canyon that the Sendero SE lower shock parts and spring cups fit the other Element shocks so you can run the smaller springs. The SE spring pack is also pretty affordable since each pack comes with a pair of each spring rate
19:08 Very well done Phil 🫡 Congratulations !! By the way, I’m very impressed by your talent of creating your own rigs/cars, this isn’t the first time, you always got VERY good ideas and are capable to build your rigs very quickly. I’m not surprised you did this second place at the dancing contest in the past !! 😄 BUT IT DOESN’T CHANGE THAT I UNSUBSCRIBE IF YOU DON’T SHARE THAT DANCE VIDEO.

Oooooooh YES.

Well done. The challenge is on for the next comp.
Congratulations 🥳 dude, some epic driving 🦾
Cheers dude…. it’s was certainly a ‘Yes Mate’ moment 👌
Great job Tomley congratulations :D
You provide some of the most entertaining rc content with a realistic scope of how good a product is.
That really does look intense! Well done
Hats off, proof you don’t need an expensive rig if you’re a excellent driver, well done.
