Good luck on your journey. I'm actually scheduling a discovery flight today, to see if it's something I want to do. I would only be doing my PPL for fun and my own use. I'll be 50 this year, so an aviation career isn't a realistic goal. I have a couple thousand hours in simulators over the past 40 years or so, which should help, but I've never flown a real aircraft, lol.
