Wow! Taxiing, taking off, flying the traffic pattern, and landing all on the first lesson? The student even got to sit in the left seat. The last time I did a “discovery” flight, I was essentially an observing passenger in the right seat. This is a great example of how all discovery flights should be.
I think I may have been smiling more than Josh just watching this video. It is clear you are an amazing instructor. Watching this has only further solidified my desire to pursue a private pilot's license. Thanks for uploading this! Was a fantastic watch!

This is the pilot I want to train with. Dude is super laid back and experienced. Perfect flying conditions within the cockpit
It is interesting to see how the instructor connects with the young man, puts him in confidence and it shows that he enjoys teaching and shows both confidence and mastery of the subjects. I would definitely like to learn from an instructor like this because he is exactly what you should expect from a "Discovery Flight". I liked watching the full video and I think you are a good instructor who would help any student to become a Pilot.

I literally teared up with joy watching this video! This instructor is amazing! I am on the road for my PPL. I currently have full time job and 3 kids! I don't know if I can pull this off but anything is possible. I will and will finish the entire journey of me being a private pilot! I wish this guy could teach me! WHAT AN AMAZING INSTRUCTOR YOU ARE SIR! HATS OFF!

Just stopping by for an update. How have obtaining your PPL been with children and working full time?
I was able to finish half way unfortunately I didn't make it. Lol. I ran out of money but I enjoyed the study. Hoping to come back again in the future, If I win the lottery or win casino haha.
I have watched this video at least 10 times. This instructor is amassing. By far the most friendliest and calmest instructor I have seen on UA-cam. I would love to go up with him and possibly land a plane. A very inspirational video. The student seemed to have really learned allot in the short time in the air.
This made me smile often throughout the video. He is an awesome and patient instructor- very patient, kind, and well spoken. I plan to take my first discovery flight and I hope to meet someone as warm in personality as He is! Makes me more excited to go on a discovery flight.

We do admit that getting your commercial pilots license is quite costly, but depending on the career choices you make, you can pay off that loan sooner than you think ;)
@@mcmurrayaviation depends on some luck as well, or connections, and a lot of hard work but can be done. One can get the job to be a mainlight flight attendant, or a private plane pilot.

Great video. I'm a new flight instructor and I will command my first discovery flight in a couple of days, so I wanted to check how it should go, what maneouvres to teach, what to do and what to say, just to make my passenger keep a smile like Josh's the whole flight. Man, I want to learn to fly with you, you make people so relax, I am watching and I can feel all the fears of being in a small airplane and hight slowly going away, I was mirroring every instruction you give. love the video I am 50+ and I am ready to take my Discovery Flight. @@mcmurrayaviation It was very cool. I did not get to take off or land as it was very windy that day 26+ knots but I got to fly when we got up. I take my second flight in a few weeks!

Absolutely the best Discovery/Introductory Flight video on UA-cam. The instructor was amazingly awesome. And the student did everything with ease and perfection at the first try....every time. I did my first flight today and it was a tad overwhelming for me but it was such an amazing experience. But seeing other people's first time experience helped me understand that it's a normal first time reaction and having a amazing instructor like this guy really makes the experience better! My instructor was the same way! You can tell they enjoy taking people out for their first time!

I’ve been thinking about getting a ppl recently, but as a full time student, I don’t really have much time or money to get one. I only recently heard about discovery flights, and I think it’d be awesome to go do something like this

Reminds me of my first discovery flight years back. My instructor was as amazing as you are. That feeling of amazement of having done so much of the flying when all you expected was maybe touching the controls a few times in the air, and the sense of learning and accomplishment is indescribable. Well done sir.

Awesome video! I just took a discovery flight and my instructor let me take the controls for about 2 mins in straight flight-i would have loved to do everything that Josh did. I liked the way you talked/instructed him through every part of the flight. Great job!

Just did my discovery flight today in Chester county, PA I flew the whole time and got a little help on the landing. It felt great! A little nerves, but settled after a few mins. Cheers for this video! @t
