- In this video, I showcase Grounded base building. This Grounded base location may not be the best, but it highlights Grounded base building tips through its aesthetics and early craft able items.
The base is situated at the bottom of the oak tree, near the pond, but it can be placed anywhere on the map as long as you have enough semi-flat ground.
In this Grounded beginners base tutorial, I showcase different building tips and tricks and a how to guide for creating this first starter base.

All House Materials Needed:
• 128 grass planks
• 31 Stems
• 52 Clovers
• 18 Sap
• 14 Sprig,
• 12 Crude Rope
• 1 Clay for each Awning that isn’t touching the floor.
**(-1 grass plank & +1 Stem for each window)**
All Furniture Materials Needed:
• 11 Grass Planks
• 7 Stems
• 11 pebblets
• 27 Sprigs
• 21 dry grass
• 10 Sap
• 9 Red Ant Parts
• 26 clovers
• 32 Crude Rope
• 6 Acorn Shells
• 5 Acorn Tops

This is an overall great little cozy shack, but something worth noting is Curved Buildings don't appear in the science shop until you have the Pond Super Chip, so I don't know how early game it is; depends on your definition of early game
Wow, I did not even think about the chip unlocks since I was building it in creative….I will definitely need to verify chip unlocks and say which chip you need for what building pieces in my future builds. Very good feedback, I appreciate that call out.
You cant use rounded stuff early game. You have to do the pond lab for curved stuff. I legit just got it all. (Im brand new to the game a week ago, but ive dived in hard af)
Someone else made that comment as well, and I hadn’t even considered that as I was building this in creative. I forget that there was some grass items still locked behind later chips… I will definitely make sure I do a double take on what each chip unlocks before make my next build video so I can advise what is needed to use those structure pieces. Thank you for that feedback.

Yeah this may not be the best base location, but it can be placed anywhere. I just lied that I didn’t have to cut a lot down before I o idk start building for the video 😂 also thank you, i appreciate it.
I do like those drawers. I would probably sub out all the baskets because that just looks like a messy kitchen cabinet lol. I would probably do a double layer of drawers on both sides and then have plenty of storage.
I 100% agree, that sounds like a perfect set up to me.
