There's a street in my city (Santo Domingo, capital of the Dominican Republic) named after Olof Palme. Despite the imperialist nature of the Sweden state (i.e. its support to NATO's bombing of Yugoslavia, and its recent integration in NATO proper) it's sometimes refreshing to remember there were times when class solidarity with the Third World was still a thing for socialdemocratic governments of the First World.
Golly, I can't imagine why this guy got assassinated, or why the government seemed totally unable to figure out who did it or why.

The police at the time, especially in Stockholm, had a lot of far right elements. And the far right held an intense hate for Palme. That is one theory.
As a swede theres another theory why he got murdered the theory is the cia assassinated him because he supported vietnam wont go much into detail

i'm a Norwegian and very worried over what has happened in Sweden. not only the huge immigration crisis but also the political shift. i'm a pro Palestine leftist and i mourn Sweden and her old values and beliefs. fascism and conservatism have made huge gains all over the world, and Norway to has grown more rightwing over the years. i hope to one day see the return of the once flourishing Scandinavian socialism. lenge leve Norden! lenge leve Palestina! lenge leve revolusjonen!

quick update, because i made this comment a while ago, and have since realised that i was wrong to call social democracy Scandinavian socialism. social democracy is scandinavian capitalism. scandinavian socialism is democratic socialism.
