I grew up in USSR when it happened, I remember the stories on the TV of how decent this man was, how he never used drivers, how simple he lived, and how open he was. For what I, understand he could move to Moscow if he wanted to, and become General Secretary the next day with no objections
Olof Palme was, and is, still revered in Sweden as a great pragmatist, co-operating with both sides of the curtain. Olof Palme is the very reason that Sweden got out of the economic turmoil of the 70s and 80s, his way of taking on both the great powers of the world is always a factor of our neutrality, his speeches became legendary among socialists the world over, his mere elections results became a sign saying "Socialism and democracy can co-exist".
It's a shame we lost a great leader.

Damn how embarrassing it was to hear the press conference on the Palm
murder today .. Incredibly unsatisfactory. Not being able to explain how
the designated Scandia man knew that the husbands palme had been to the
cinema that night and knew that he lacked bodyguards that night and how
he could know that they would come from the cinema at the time he
stamped out of the scandia house, that he had a revolves on himself when
he has had no information about the spouses Palme's arrival, etc., it
is not serious to point out Engström as a perpetrator and then say that
the investigation is closed. If Stig Engström is the one who fired the
shots, he is only part of a larger conspiracy that worked together to
enable him to carry out the murder in the manner described by the
prosecutor. That conspiracy must be revealed to ISF and these fellows
must be revealed or at least be explained in the same way as Engström
points out. Probably you dare not put the cards on the table because
these people are still alive ..
To call the case 'closed' when you have no real evidence that Stig did it is a disgrace. And I really believed they would show something conclusive.. such a shame.
They already had the real killer convicted for it, a man who had previously been convicted of murder, who allegedly told associates that he mistook the prime Minister for his drug dealing boss. But the stupid Swedish courts let him out on appeal.

The most likely Theories is it being the BOSS, the PKK or corrupt police officers who saw him as a soviet psy-ops. There is tons of documentation on all the shit CIA was doing in Sweden during the cold war to isolate Palme but none of it points to them having any plans on taking him out
