This was low-key kinda cute. The atmosphere was definitely eerie. But there weren't really any monsters or jumpscares. Just escaping a liminal space with a friendy giant insect to assist. Also the choice at the end was a nice way to cap off the experience. I'd definitely file this game under "games that look like horror at first, but are actually pretty chill"
One day as Gregorina Samsa awoke from restless dreams, she found herself locked in IKEA jail for misplacing guiding arrows, creating an endless loop and adding diacritic marks to random letters of the product names. She also found herself temporarily inside the body of a monstrous insect, but that's beside the point. Weirdest thing of all, she found herself able to cast IKEA meatballs at will.
I decided to rent out one of my rooms to a small group of social insects. They're pretty nice, so I have a good rapport with my *ten ants* :) wait! I got another: Ant societies are difficult to sway in arguments, because they're organized *in sects* and highly resist-ant to change.
I guess scared is a little strong a word, but I was definitely apprehensious! A giant multi-legged creature walking towards you from the darkness is a little freaky! :)
Haha, yeah I did grow to love him (and felt really guilty leaving him there in the first ending), but years of playing video games has tought me that when a giant black creature starts walking towards you, you need to be ready to run! :)
What kids these days don't know is that back in the 90's the resolution of our eyes was VCR quality, hence why we saw everything like this. Lag spikes also was the leading cause of car accidents. Kids these days really don't know how good they have it.
I wasn't convinced with the game because I don't get liminal horror or whatever, but I loved the ending. You don't see selflessness too often nowadays.
Man, and here I was thinking this game was about a bald boy learning about life… For anyone who doesn’t get it, I’m referencing the kid’s show “Caillou”
I headcanon that if you let the ant go first, you eventually find your way out as well and you meet up again with your ant friend, and you get to be best friends forever ^^
Good ending: After achieving freedom you realized just how lonely it was by yourself. You bring back a heavy object to place on the pressure plate to free your companion and that's when it hits you: it was a she. You run into the sunset and go on to live together. While you find it difficult to communicate with her at times, you manage to find common ground and start a family.
going around in liminal spaces with my giant friendly ant :3
NOOOOOOOO
Haha, the second ending is nicer though. :)
aw.
And my bag of infinite rocks

Being able to cast IKEA meatballs at will would be a great superpower. Handy for throwing and a delicious snack! :)
@@AlphaBetaGamer reading the comment make me feel. Like i was reading an IA comment but i agree with that
Is thay a metamorphosis reference?

"An-ty Hero"
ABG never fail to make me lost at dad joke lol 😂😂😂
I have the impression that the giant ant would play fetch with you if she could. Such adorable enthuiasm!
Technically you can put enough of your infinite meatballs on the press-plate to weigh it down and escape yourself.
Yeah, I did try that on another playthough but it doesn't work. Only one of the duo are destined to escape.
"I'm just a kid who's four
Each day I grow some more
I like exploring, I'm Kayou..."
So I misread the title and for a moment got terrified we'd be running into Caillou in the Backrooms
That is some real impressive IK work on the legs
Were you scared when you saw a giant ant coming towards you?

@AlphaBetaGamer but he's cute and friendly.
Its a black ant. As I remember they are harmless.

@@TheGoldenKing25yeah when you're much bigger than they are XD
Since the MC can throw tons of rocks, couldn't he pile them up to push that button and set both free?
8:50 I can really imagine how he pet over the head of this noble creature to say "Thank you".

I hate people who hate insects.
It really bugs me.
KAYOU !
i would die for the ant
Caillou (pronounced kayou) is french for pebble 😂😂
The ants sight was VERY confusing to watch
Hi, very spooky game, it has that analog/ARG horror vibes to it
Franz Kafka approves of this game.
neat
Hm. Now i want to make a game about throwing things.
I wish I could figure out how to program that kind of leg movement into a robot
Yeah, I love the way his lanky leggies move!
procedural animation really made the ant look alive
My ant-phobic mother approves of this lil friendly cutie! :D
Please play Ignited Entry! That game made me cry so bad and i would love to see you play it!!
Im gonna cry. you give me big bug friend, let me get very emotionally attached to bug friend, and then you SEPARATE me from bug friend??? Agony
Basically the backrooms. Combined with teamwork obby
