    My method to get started on something you don't feel like doing: the REFO Method. Write down on a paper the task you want to do. Under that, list down the reasons you want to do it as R1, R2, R3, etc. Below that, list your excuses for not doing it as E1, E2, E3 etc. They can be excuses that you give to others or to yourself. Then, write down the Fears you have about doing it. It may be that you are afraid it will take too much time, or you don't have the skill... whatever it is. Finally, write down the Obstacles that you are stuck on. This will help you decide if it is a genuine obstacle, whether you want to start something in parallel, or you want to get some help etc. The key is to get all these out of your subconscious and into a form your mind can handle. It's a form of mindfulness. REFO: reasons, excuses, fears, obstacles. Good luck!

    Wow. I have my AICE Environmental Management exam tomorrow and I’ve had trouble getting myself to study. This video came out the moment I started wondering how I should get myself to start. Wow.

    Hey Uncle Matt, I was wondering if you know any way to trick yourself out of saying 'like,' or any informal filler words.

    • @BeSmarterFaster
      @BeSmarterFaster  7 місяців тому

      Hello ipoxcky. That's a good topic. I'll do a video on it. But the short answer is that you must LISTEN to yourself. (It's harder than you realize). When you make the decision to eliminate filler words, you must CATCH yourself doing it. Eventually you'll retrain yourself out of that habit.

    I am thinking of not practising the parts of subjects that require practice after learning them and instead of practicing those parts I am thinking of turing my understanding of them into images in my mind that remind me of my understanding especially practical understanding.
    If I understand what you had said then I might be able to remember my practical understanding for a long time as "people can remember anything for a long time using memeory palace".
    Will people still be able to solve practical questions of those subjects such as programming after that if they just review their images that remind them of their understanding.
    I am also thinking of creating images that remind me of my mental skills in an attempt to retain them for longer without practise but I am not sure how can I do that as I do not want to only retain the memory of my mental skills but my ability to perform them such a speed calculation.
    How would you use the memory palace to remember how to be able to use skills such as how to perform mental calculation fast and also be able to retain the ability to do them for a long time without practise.Being able to perform mental calculation fast without practise but through the review of the images in memeory palace.
    If you want you can add how to memeories the practical meaning of concepts in your course along with how to retain skills without further practise for a long time if it is possible.I had never seen them in all the courses descriptions that I had seen till now.

    I don't know I can do it or not. I barely gone to school due to my asthama and sinus problems. Obviously if you miss any maths class you will not understand. I have to. Relearn all basics and advance now I can finally understand maths but it took me 1 year to learn. The same thing countinues not attending 10th classes. I can catch up other subjects but 2 subject I have to relearn like maths and I don't have much holidays idk whether I can learn in time or not. I will only have 10 days holiday.
