- Trying out the Vikings Blade Chieftain Razor again in the rotation. It’s been a few years since I tried this entry level, mild razor. Also taking a quick look at a few accessories from Yaqi, including razor stand and portable shave bowl.

Been wet shaving for three months now and already have 8 razors. This hobby can become somewhat expensive when you're buying two hundred dollar razors, but it's a whole lot more enjoyable.
That number will get much bigger as the years go by lol

@@AZShaveCave I mean, if you find something you like and you only want to stick to that razor, that’s fine, too. Stick to what you have right now for awhile and get more accustomed to them. I’ve been into wet shaving now for about 4 years and I probably have 20 or so razors.

I’m a wayfarer guy. On my third pair since 1978. Every time I buy cheap sunglasses I either lose them or they break. I get 20 years out of a pair Wayfarers so I stick with them. Enjoy your new set. Cheers.

Excellent shave Ken. There's nothing better than getting rid of an itchy beard. I usually spend around 5 minutes between video cuts rinsing my brush out after I applied the alum. The synthetic brushes seem to rinse much better.

Nice shave. Vikings Blade has some good low-cost safety razors. I do have the Chieftain Jr. and the Emperor. Although I rarely use them anymore. The Rockwell 6S and the RazoRock Game Changer 68 are my usual go-to's these days. As far as sunglasses, I like my Ray-Bans and the inexpensive DUCOs.

Great shave. I don’t wear sunglasses as much. I wear eyeglasses because of my blurred vision. Every time I put on my sunglasses, I have to put them over my eyeglasses, which can be a pain in the ass. Have a good one!

I don’t like wearing sunglasses because I wear eyeglasses and hate having to switch back and forth and I tend to lose them. For that reason, I have Transition lenses that get dark in the sunlight.

Try another shave, but this time ride the cap a bit more than the guard, and you might have tp apply slightly more pressure, thats so the skin actually is bend enough to come in contact with the blade,, the attak angle of the blade will be more shallow, but the blade will cut easier

Boy, that razor makes almost as much noise as that Van der Hagen of mine. Must be a budget razor thing.
Sunglasses for me are a "buy something cheap" item. Mine fall off my head and hit the deck so often it's ridiculous. I end up having to replace them at least once a year because the lenses get so scratched that it causes visual problems. So yeah, no Oakleys or Ray Bans for me.

Thanks for your reply. The video you linked was where I remember Your input on Dry Blade; I did click the like button. From Your suggestions I did purchase the Dry Blade, and I have been using it with both DE blades and cartridge blades; at the same time.
Since it has been awhile since I've seen the Dry Blade product; I was curious if You were still using Dry Blade, and if You believe it is, or can, prolong shaving blades?

I love my Augustus, and I find a feather works amazing in it. I have a question Ken. I want a razor thats straight down the centre of mild and aggressive, so when I get new blades and soaps I know myself what side they sit on. The cost doesn't matter just as long as the quality it good. Do you have any recommendations?
