Lots of great info. A great feature that isn't seen anywhere, would be a chat overlay with the agregate of all the comments from all the places you're streaming to. Since you already have the comments in eCamm, that would be easier than a streamlab chatbox
Thanks Kaysha! That's part of our plan when we bring on our own native simulcasting. It does actually exist right now when you go live via Restream and Ecamm Live.
@@EcammLive Yes, but does Restream have the icons and a chatbox widget with all the comments from all the platforms? That would be great. I'm interested in trying Restream but it will depend of the ETA of your solution.

What a refreshing drama-free information packed overview. Soooo different from much of Ecamm’s happy talk presentations with faux enthusiasm and a lot of giggling by the “Live-Pros”” host. I know everyone thinks they’re a performer and “likes” are more important than actual learning to many. More Glen Aspeslagh style would be welcome.

I need help. Every time I go live on my own personal Facebook page, I can never see the comments that come in. I went live on FB and received 32 comments but none of them showed up while I was streaming live. Once I stopped the live stream I went back to view the replay all 32 comments showed up. These comment were all made the first 10 minutes of my stream. I had streamed for 30 minutes. Why cant I see the comments as they come in while I was live?

I have been using Ecamm Live display as a screen share to show my presentations on Gotowebinar because it is easy for me to use PIP and do presentation on the go, but the overlays of the EcammLive tabs like Go Live, audio, scenes, etc. are always there. Is there a way to turn them off?

@@EcammLive I saw Adrian's video, but Ii did not find a solution to my problem. I also read through the articles, but it seems I am not able to understand the technicalities. I just need to share my Ecammlive display screen as an application without having the other overlays of Live, audio, scenes, etc displayed on it. Kind of a clean feed. Is it possible?

Very helpful, thanks so much, None of the videos et al tell me how to use Ecamms to include 2 camera views during my Skype cello lessons where my teacher calls me. I just ordered Sony a6100, HD60 S+, Stream Deck and iMac 27” based on suggestions on Live Streaming Pros. My primary need now is to set up for her to Skype call me and to be able to show her my fingerboard and bowing views.
Hi Suzi! Thanks for the note. Just so I'm sure I understand, you're asking to be able to use Ecamm Live to do a video cello lesson where you can see your teacher and he/she can see you? If so, you'd probably want to use Zoom and Ecamm Live via our virtual camera. Here's more: support.ecamm.com/en/articles/3829692-using-ecamm-live-with-zoom
Ecamm Network Nice answer, but my teacher only uses Skype thus the Skype specific question.
You can do the same thing with Skype. The only catch is that Skype's recent update broke the ability to connect to virtual cameras, so you'd have to follow these steps: support.ecamm.com/en/articles/4063085-virtual-camera-missing-after-skype-update

Is it my eyes only, or is Glen's face less sharp as soon as he's greenscreened? It became softer and I can understand that the edges around the head can be tricky to fix, still his nose, mouth, all looks softer than in the rest of the video. When he's not in the demo view mode it's sharp as hell, all fine. Thanks for a good run through in any case. Considering ecamm...

my videos with my guests turn slightly blurry. we both have MacBook Pro and have Ecamm and Skype. what are we doing wrong? what setting should we have it on to have clear, crisp high quality video? Please advise. we tried to contact Ecamm but no answer. Thank you.

that was very helpful for this beginner. How about interviewing guests. I have seen it done where the guest changes sides after going to full screen (1 person) then back to 2. How do you keep self on same side when alternating between 1 and 2 on screen? Is there a vid explaining that? Thanks :)

Hi Roberto! Glen is using our live demo mode to show you how Ecamm Live works. You can definitely also share your screen or use two screens. Whatever works best for you.
What's the pop up green screen you used?
We use an Elgato collapsible green screen.
Q: Every time I open the app my windows move all over the place. I have told MacOS to always open the app on the second display but We need a way to make "Workspaces" if you will. Is this behavior normal and if so can you add a way to remember my utility window layout, please. (similar to PS or AI)
Hi Doc! Thanks for the note. It is supposed to function the way you describe, but we've had reports that it's having issues when members are using more than one display. We're going to dive in and see if we can sort out what's going on and resolve it. Thanks!

Hi Lamar - do you mean you were live streaming using Ecamm Live and now you want to find the recording? If so, you can do a quick search on your computer for "Ecamm Live" and you should find it. Mine saves to my downloads folder.

i really enjoy using ecamm for our church set up. one feature id like to ask about and hear your input is having a "preview" screen. is there any way to have a preview screen, before the 'live'?

This is awesome!! Just a quick question how about audio set up? Does ecamm has a preset audio? Because I like to sing on live streaming and I usually use Apogee mic normally with iPhone I just plug and play. Does ecamm do that as well?

Can not access account. Recent. Pro member. No mail from automate received From AI response. Support email received but keep on asking to go through automated response. Now a second day of back and forth corresponding. Any help ?

Can you use ecamm just to record yourself? Without having to go live and can you hook up a dslr?
You sure can! We have a record only feature that lets you do just that.

Ecamm Network Yes, I am. I found a way to connect to Output Device: Ecamm Live App Audio but the audio monitoring is delayed. I cannot listen to headphones while I am going live because I get confused with the rhythm of the song. Do you have any suggestions for delayed audio monitoring.
We're working on audio monitoring latency, but it isn't available yet.

Hi Roger - that's only going to be visible within the app interface. It won't show up in your video.

Hi Archbud - Yes, you can pre-record video (even in Ecamm Live) and play it while you're live streaming. Just be careful. Facebook and UA-cam both have rules against playing pre-recorded video and making it seem like it's live.
Is there s way to blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro?
Yes, you can use a Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro with Ecamm Live. We have an awesome community of users you can chat with at facebook.com/groups/ecammlive

This was a great tutorial!! Currently having issues though connecting my note 8 to use as a second camera source. I downloaded EpoCam but it's not recognizing my phone. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

Can i use ecamm to stream my ps4 game play with PIP + Overlays? Currently using OBS
Don't see why not. You'd just need an encoder like the Elgato HD60S+ (+ not just S!) to connect in your PS4.

Ecamm Live is a Mac app. It doesn't work on mobile devices or PCs.
what I mean is when I'm streaming on my mac, can I plug in an android phone and be able to see what's on on it for a 'scene' or can that only be done with iphones?
Unfortunately no. Screen sharing only works with your iPhone or iPad.

Hi, yesterday Ecamm's virtual camera stopped showing up in Zoom as an available camera. It shows up in other programs, just not Zoom. I've checked for updates with both Zoom and Ecamm, restarted, rebooted, etc... nada. Any suggestions?

Hey Glenn, does Ecamm allow you to switch to a different FB account (because I have two)? I dont mean streaming live to both accounts at the same time I mean just going live through Ecamm with one of my FB accounts one day and then going live again with Ecamm the next day with my other FB account? Does Ecamm allow you to do that?
Yes, you can log in and out of any of your accounts easily within Ecamm Live.

Ecamm Live is a Mac software. It only works on Mac computers.

Hello Glen, hank you for the video. After watching your video I subscribed to Ecamm live but no luck... There is no way I can connect my camera. I have Sony A6400 and use Elgato capture card HD 60 S. (The Elgato gamecapture app can see the camera and get signal). Any idea why I can't connect? BTW I have a pro subscription on Ecamm live. I would appreciate an advice how to connect. Thanks
I'm afraid that you need the HD60S+ (the plus is different than just the HD60S).
Ecamm Network thank you for your quick response. Can you tell me more please?? Elgato says that the only difference that the S+ has is speed for gaming. Why ecamm needs that for taking picture?? And does the capture can link 4K HDMI does that job with Ecamm? Once again thank you.

Yes, you can connect as many cameras as you like (have the ability to connect).

On the chat screen can i reply to my viewrs comments? Or do i have to loging into my fb account on safari?
Hi Octaviano - you'll see the comments come into Ecamm Live and you can pull them into your video feed and answer them live or you can type a reply back. You do not need to have Facebook open on Safari.

I am sorry to say that Ecamm live does not work for me. The very fundamentals are wrong. I have to assume a non-engineer or someone that does not understand streaming designed it?
I studied it for hours and then installed it and within 5 minutes I knew this software is not for professional broadcasting.

Couldn’t get this to work at all very disappointing. Worked fine with just me but put band in audio couldn’t keep up or something. And yes I have a 1 gig service and a new Mac Studio.
