Nice one I've been fitting my doors for a year was going to get around to testing with multimeter and then change to some old fashioned door switches 👍
I've had the same auto-unlocking issue! I don't quite understand what you said about the central control module, so I'm going to try at doing the grounding fix on the driver door as you did. Hope it works. If it doesn't maybe I will do the same on passenger. If neither work - any ideas??
Hi Matt, thanks for the video, just what I was looking for. One question, does this eliminate the door ajar error that pops up on the dashboard as well? Many Thanks
Did mine today wire was black and blue think Ford used what ever wire they had hanging about 😂 if it helps anyone the wire above the black earth wire on the plug
Attention!!!This problem may be because one of the 3 doors has a bad sensor and the dashboard reads it as if it were open. In my case the problem was with the Rear door. In order to do the bonding it is a little more complicated because there are 6 cables and They are exactly the same color (black). So, what I did was: Scrape a metal part of the rear door and anchor or drill a hole to screw in a screw with a cable, this will be my Ground. Afterwards, I disconnected the connector with the 6 cables from the rear door and made contact with each wire until the fuse burns. You will know what I have done because the remote control will not work. Then I went to the vehicle's dashboard and left it on and the door light was still on, so I made contact with each wire of the connector until I found the cable that turns off the door open light on the rear door. Once you find it, you just cut it and join it to the ground cable that you had already screwed to the metal of the door. Then you just replace the fuse number 163, it is 20 amps. This fuse is located on the driver's side, in the third row, it is the fourth fuse from the right to the left. Once you replace it, the remote control will work to close the doors.
Thank you 1,000 times I’ve been fighting my door ever since I got my van! Fixed great as far as I’m concerned! You made my year! God bless you!
That by pass was a perfect job Matt. Understanding how the system works is key to being able to carry out repairs like this, so well done mate 👏👏👍
Cheers mate, I didn't want to leave tools in the van without the doors locking.

Thanks allot. Worked for me on passenger side.
It really worked, thank you so much ✨️💯😎👍
Good solid logical approach, well done
Thanks mate
Nice work Matt you are a clever man 👍
Thanks Kevin

Vielen Dank
I have this problem with the rear door. My question is which rear door wire should I connect to ground because they are all black.
thank for video
Excellent diagnosis work. Usually a signal of this error is the interior light remains on or dash indicates door not closed.
Whap happens if you are locked out
thank you!

Yes it does, only thing is, the door could be ajar and it wouldn't know. Thanks for watching
What do I do on the other side I did this and didn’t work

What about the rear door, all the wires are black 🙈🙈🙈
