I own 2 of these tools and they are a miracle because of their simplicity and capability. I would learn so much building it myself. Thanks for this great video.
A very neat project Andrei. I've got one of those components testers that you can buy in a kit you assemble. But I think your version has more features. The IR decode was interesting. The ability to read SMD components was also very interesting! Thank you for sharing.
How do you change the inductor units to μH / nH? And also measure Zener with a voltage of more than 5V... Can you change it to measure IGBT with VT > 5V?
Hi, this is awesome project and I gather all parts for DIY component tester. After some time I finished soldering and pluged in my arduino uno (CH340), uploaded ISP, connected board to Uno as told, open AVRDUDESS and select all options as presented, start programing but at the end i get error msg "avrdude.exe: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000 0x4c != 0xe0". After some snooping around I decide to order original UNO board and tried it again but same errror arise. Can you help me with this error and what should i do to finish this little project. I have to say I'm not electrical man but like this area and I like to build new stuff. Thanks in advance.
LCR-T4 Mega328 is the cheapest, LCR-T4 without any IC mentioned is less cheap, GM328 is most expensive in the generic section. What's the difference between these all?
Again... what a great project. Thank you. Mostly I work in the MicroPython Pico space. (mostly because I find C a little intimidating). Where would I look for equivalent projects for MicroPython / raspberry pi pico?
I have the older version, the one without the rotary encoder. The problem is that it doesn't do well with high power components (transistors, MOSFETs, etc.) and when you put a high power component that you don't know the type yet, you can't rely on this tester, because it will output nonsense.
So I wonder if someone would care to do the necessary adjustments so such testers would "treat" high power components well 😊 For frequency generation, I'd rather get a 32-bit MCU do the job.
For all flavors of transistors, it's nice to see the pinout next to the component's symbol like, for instance, BCE or GDS, etc. This is an easy modification I guess, and it's visually faster for reading.
I have a clone of the clone of one. It works ok but I think I need to change the firmware as it likes to get stuck. Thanks for the firmware. Now how to customize it?
Great project. I've got this message - avrdude error: invalid -P value: 'COM7' use -P usb:bus:device avrdude error: unable to open port COM7 for programmer arduinoisp
U2 HT7550 fixed voltage regulator is really getting hot, they can deliver 100mA... the original design has a MCP1702-5002, 250mA... anyone else has this problem? Should I replace it with a MCP1702-5002?
when using AVRDUDESS and trying to detect mcu i encountered this problem installed on a seperate computer and encountered the same problem i am new to this can anyone assist avrdude.exe: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding avrdude.exe: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x4c Reply

Very cool project. I didn't know that my old LCR meter was an open source project and that it has evolved that much over the years. Great work!

A version with connections for a Li-Ion battery and integrated charger and/or power connector for USB-C would be a nice addition!
Very useful project. Much needed tool for testing. Thanks for the hard work and creating awesome content.
Спасибо огромное за проделанную работу.все супер.лайк.здоровья.
Nice, definitely going to build this project!
It's ironic that I was thinking about doing this weeks ago for work, since I already use a component tester.
Fantastic project, thanks for sharing.
Hello can read uH and mH indicator values 🤔
Best regards elektronoobs and 👍
With so many of these on the markets, I don't see why you would want to make another one. Just buy one!!
Awesome video, love this content!
Great Project! I would like to modify it slightly, is there a KiCAD Project available? Greetings, André
Did you ever create a case for it? If so do you have a link to yhat 3d print? @Electronoobs

The difference is how much of the corner the Chinese cut off. Wrong processors, low quality parts, and so on.
Can u make a video on how the voltage detection and everything else is done with the code indepth
If you sold a kit... I'd buy one.
Just look online af one of the many Chinese websites. They are cheap as chips!

Another nice tool for a maker 😅😅👏👏👏👏 5 🌟

very useful project !! ! thanks
Does anyone know the voltage ratings of C7 & C10? Also the dimensions of the PCB?

i don't find this Daido SMBJP6KE6.8A-TP on Ali Express can you recommend another part
P6SMB6-8A
Nice ,
What is f generator max frequency
Can i make it through 16x2 lcd
Depends on the crystal used. And yes you can use a 16x2 display.

Nifty enough that some company will be selling it on Ali pretty soon.
Show pwm testing and it will be best If integration of multimeter
Thank you brother
that's great 🤩🤩🤩
I want one. Like, now.
First person to put the parts together in kit form, hit me up 👍
R11 value plz.? 33k.?
Maybe auto test without press button?
Make an oscilloscope by arduino
If you're planning to build this. The codes are designed for 1.8 inch TFT only, don't ever use 1.44, I don't know why he recommended the 1.44 inch 🤡
please the code
its the same reverse engineering of component meter that can be buy online looks like reivew video
Not reverse engineered, the project is open-source. The Chinese vendors just make clones.
Exelen
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Very useful project. please give me arduino codes.Thanks.
nice
I wish I was born 20 years ago not 60!
Muito bom
why make with more cost when you can buy it for just a few dollars
For fun and learning purposes maybe?
please learn on how to pronounce avrdude, there is no S in that whole word
True, but he was using avrdudess and there are two S ...Ss ... eses ...whatever the plural of S is. -- Dunning Kruger.
when using AVRDUDESS and trying to detect mcu i encountered this problem installed on a seperate computer and encountered the same problem i am new to this can anyone assist
