  • This video is about Adventures S3 E10
    Join me through the adventure of racing in the Rotax Max Master class at the Calgary Kart Racing Club (CKRC).
    This is the second Day of the Alberta Shootout for 2020! My pace today is TERRIBLE, and i'm trying to put on a good show for my family who is watching from the stands. Watch to the end to see what happens!
    It's an extremely cold day, and we all struggle in our own ways. This time we have some mechanical issues including a bad starter and an emergency pit side repair from overdrive motorsports.
    I hope you enjoy the video. Head with me to the track to see what happens on the epic Race #10 of the Rotax Masters Championship.

    Awesome job once again Brent, we take the tyres off the rims and flip them. Poor Reinaldo. I got beaten by my oldest son this weekend...the little turd 😁😄😁

    In cold days like that try running more negative caster so maybe put the zero pils on the bottom of the kingpin bolt and the arrow towards the front of the kart on the top of the kingpin

    Strange tire rule. I flip mine each week to make them last longer. Oh well. Good job Brent. Always a good day to be at a race track !

      Yea the rule caught most of us by surprise. I guess it's in the ASN rule set?

      Brent Kadler max challenge rules in the tire section I believe.

    I'm pretty sure you can swap them but not run it wrong way. You have to take it off the rims and turn them around.

    How do drivers (karts and cars) know if somebody is on their inside without a spotter The field of view doesn’t look like much.

    • @brentkadler2870
      @brentkadler2870  3 роки тому +1

      Practice. You can see more than you think with peripheral vision, and turning your head slightly you can almost see behind you. The hard part is not turning your kart when you turn your eyes and head!!! More difficult than it sounds!!!!!

    • @troypachal4713
      @troypachal4713 3 роки тому

      Part of this too is that it’s the responsibility of the driver trying to pass to know if you’ve been seen by the driver in front. Make yourself conspicuous when going for a move... or count on being run into.

    Why can u not flip tires side to side ?? That is a dumb rule they r still the same tires. We r around to not only swap them but to flip them on the rims to get more tire life ????

    • @brentkadler2870
      @brentkadler2870  3 роки тому

      You can swap them between sides, but then you have to re-mount the tires to get the arrow in the correct direction. I didn't know about this rule. We've been running tires backwards for years, so it caught many of us off guard.

      @@brentkadler2870 oh yeah I have heard of that at times still don't understand how that is a performance improvement but rules r rules i guess. Good racing though Brent. How r the mojos doing. U going to have enough tires for the season ???

    Hi Brent nice vid!, just out of curiosity, how do u know when u have too much tire pressure? What are the symptoms? Thanks

    • @brentkadler2870
      @brentkadler2870  3 роки тому +1

      You can feel the 'squish', so that's a subjective thing. The tires will let you know they are too hot by getting slippery. They will 'come in' to grip nicely, and then get slidey/and slippery as they get too hot. This usually means you should drop your pressures for the next race.
