Have your tried Young Nails protein bond? I see that one being recommended by many nail techs but have yet to try it. I've also seen nail techs that only apply bonding agents to the free edge to prevent chips, which keeps the nail bed from over drying.

Will stay tuned! Have noticed that certain fingers, particularly my dominant thumb, have a tendency to lift/peel/split on the outside corners of the free edge no matter how careful I am with my DIY effort. Looking forward to your review and recommendations knowing how thorough you are with your due diligence 🙂

Great video. This is a really important subject. I’ve been wondering what I can do to help make my gels last. I use dehydrator and a ph bond. Dehydrator’s are cool but alcohol and/ or acetone does the same thing, dehydrate🤪😂. They work great but it’s not perfect. I have naturally strong nails but Im very hard on them and I do get some lifting and chipping. I’m working on perfecting my cuticle prep game. I look forward to all your other up coming videos. I can never learn to much about natural nail care. What the difference between a primer and ph bond?

Thanks so much for the video and info. Im looking forward to more bc I’m definitely confused. I’ve always had gel polish lifting after about 3weeks, and I’m cool with that. But it wasn’t until I used protein bond for the first time that I experienced chips and cracks in my polish! So weird! I guess I either need to learn more or leave it alone.

Thanks for sharing this information. I love your videos , I been learned a lot from your videos and I love routines and tips, I would like to ask you which brand of REGULAR nail polish would you recommend to make my manicure last longer. Which base coat and top coat work best in terms of durability?

Love your videos! Would love for you to talk about shrinkage of (some) gel polishes during curing. If you've already spoken about this topic, I apologize!

Yes! It was about five months ago is your gel not curing does your gel polish wrinkle. Check it out hopefully it answers all your questions and definitely a topic I’ll be following up again soon

Just found you and will be following you. I am so confused about this nail dehydrator. Is it bad for your nail. my goal is to grow my natural nails. I think that a gel polish would be helpful to protect my nail. But I am concerned about how to go about it. Thank you for your good information. I will be looking for more from you

Hi my name is JANNINA. I was wondering about using ph bonder, dehydrator and primer with the Beetles gel line. Some of my clients have had their gel nails slide of their nail plate just days after application. I’m assuming they have oily nails. Very upsetting to me!!! I’ve had a clientele for years and this has never occurred. I’m trying to understand what to do for them.
As you mentioned in your video, your clients come back intact but grown out. I’ve been using gel builder by Beetles and my clients love it. It’s the ones that don’t have a great experience!! HELP!!!
    Thank you so much!

Hi! I do not use any bonds, primers or dehydrators and definitely get great wear. Regardless of the brand that I use. In my experience, it is all in the prep. Very important that nails are not saturated in water during the manicure process. This is a sure way for the product to pop off usually after three days. If you are not soaking your clients nails in water, then the next thing I would look at is the nail plate prep …second most important thing the cuticle Has to be cleaned and the nail has to be buffed (lightly) especially around the edges. There could be some other factors, but very difficult to know exactly without seeing the process and seeing what the lifting looks like, but in my experience, it’s usually one of the two mentioned above. I hope this was helpful!
