Correction: The ring around the outside of the rear has nothing to do with venting, there is a vent hole on the side near the yoke. Quick apologies about the sound section and the moving around, I like to place headphones down while I talk about them, but there wasn't any good way to place them upright for recording.
It's awesome that you compared the sound isolation to the Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X headphones, because thats exactly what I'm using now and was wondering if the Sennheiser hd620s was better at it or not. I'm glad I've already got the better sound isolating headphones! Thanks for the review.
Sennheiser actually didn’t make a total piece of garbage after the buyout. That’s the most impressive piece of information I got out of the review as I don’t expect much from the company any more. Thanks for the great review!
First, good review :-) And second, ah yes, good old senni, who needs tilt downards! I played with the thought of getting these... But my head even though helmet size L is thinner around the chin and non of the other Sennheisers fit my head due to them not tilting downwards enough... Which obviously will destroy any closed-back. The beyer 700 might be a good option for my in the office as I do like a good isolation there, but when trying them in a store I did find them come off as rather dampened. Definitively worse then the 770 I had for years before somehow stupidly deciding to sell them :/ Maybe I can find a used unit of the 700 somewhere as I'm not willing to spend what they charge for them new.
A lot of people are complaining about sealing issues. Shame tbh The bigger cup size is intriguing tho. One of the reasons why I love the sheer chonk of my Edition XS

great review as always bro, looking for decent pair of headphones preferably wireless with good bass but not overwhelming mids and treble.
Great review, wasnt the bass cannon that i had hoped, have you got any other pairs in mind that are.
The Sony 1AM2 is decent if you can find one for cheap, though it's more of a strong V shape than pure bass cannon
