    One the most beautiful locations on earth has got to be Cote d’azur - the French Riviera.
    Cannes, Nice, Monaco - are all here and so is our restaurant for today. The world-famous Mirazur.
    Mirazur is the work of chef Mauro Colagreco. Mirazur opened in 2006 and got it’s first Michelin star within a year. In 2012 it got the second. It got the third in 2019.
    This was a big year for Colagreco, as Mirazur was named number one in the worlds 50 best restaurants.
    They are experts in hospitality. The best service I've ever had.

      Oh how I wish I could go back and relive my first Michelin star quality dinner. I don’t know if anything will ever top that experience of suddenly being thrown into a world you never knew existed making you question everything you thought food could be.

    I don't know who writes this channel's scripts but they are fantastic, Alexander's sequences throughout the whole experience are on point, his presence is straightforward elegant and yet he speaks such beautiful and careful words. I'm passionate about food like most of human beings, but this channel brings out a whole new aspects to the fine dining experience. UA-cam offers very rarely such an artistic and masterful content nowadays.

    We went there on 2017, we went for Dinner service so sadly we can't enjoy the view but it was the best money I've ever spend in my life. The menu was exquisite, down-to-earth, unpretentious yet amazingly nuanced with high level technique. Mirazur was and still the best dining experience I've ever had so far in my life.

    This channel is perhaps my favorite in this genre. I like that Alexander doesn’t seem like a classic reviewer. He’s spending his own money-I think? He is, therefore, more likely to give an honest review. Some of his reviews are quite critical. Plus…he loves Krug! Now that’s the pinnacle of great taste!

    I've ben watching this channel religiously, as an amateur cook who aspires to polish my skills and open my restaurant; Every time Alexander and his team uploaded, immediately i felt inspired to cook a typical dish that gave idea from the tasting menu, especially salanova with vermouth sauce, I was in a tinkering session with my notebook but got inspired that I merely steam some tufo wrapped in napa cabbage with sesame sauce as the vermouth sauce as similar in colour. Gotta say this upload, though it has been ten months; truly this channel concept is a cook's dream to feel and utilise the cook's experience

    This is building a restaurant and creating menus according to the chef's own ideals and creativity done right.
    Just as Alexander's said, a truly brave decision.
    By that stretch, it is also a meant for challenging oneself in a fast pace (Chef Mauro)
    and he did it beautifully in every season and moon cycles.
    Anyway, i'm so fascinated by how high leveled this restaurant review is. Keeping us interested by every sentences is not an easy work to do. yet you're done it flawlessly.

    what a beautiful video. As a former 5-star professional, I feel like restaurant staff is sometimes such an underrated profession. You need so much product knowledge, right timing, humor, intelligence.

    As someone who worked in fine dinning for 25yrs YES you are correct about service artificiality and that is driven by managers and agree best service is combination of technicality and real genuine enthusiasm.This is the reason why I never worked in restaurant that I didn't like the food.

    I was fortunate to dine here is 2018. Simply excellent. The building was apparently the old border checkpoint between France and Italy. The food was sublime and pleased to see it still is. Still my favourite and one hopes to return!

      I don’t think there is a difference. It s just kinda of a cool concept to be able do drink something that was transported so long ago by people who defied their destiny against the turbulence of the seas and are probably dead. So it’s not everyday you get to drink something with such history and life experience

    I'm kind of surprised they let you film this in this fashion. Its not that frequent but you can see many other guests quite clearly in this. Usually a complete no go for restaurants in this price range where discretion is also highly valued.

    Alexander, I've come to truly appreciate your narratives. Thanks to you, I'm learning a lot about fine dining.
    Mirazur is beautiful in every aspect. I bet it even sounds good. Each course is so interesting. I'm not usually a dessert lover, but I'm still thinking about the lemon thyme jelly and the basil tart. Using savory herbs in a dessert makes me, somehow, happy. And let's not forget the submarine wine, like a joke that turns out to belong in your glass and with your meal!

    Your channel is just wonderful! You explain your experiences in a very accurate and pleasant way. I would love to visit Mirazur. The view is magnificent, the staff seems very hospitable and smiley, the organic interior is bright yet warm and not too posh. Contemporary in a nearly nordic approach. In Mirazur I would feel more at home than in say the opulent Sketch or the tad cold and cramped Fat Duck. But each to his own.
