Very cool 😎 Mustang Chris. I remember the race team called "Mustang Tournament of Thrills". As a kid I remember going to Playland Park in Council Bluffs, Ia. And watching them. That's when I fell in love the Mustang.
Just what I need for my Mustang collection - have never had a Mustang II model kit before. And I love the color scheme on this one and the fact you can build a stock version.
I agree! If Round2 is listening, do more factory stock versions of this kit. I recall a black with gold stripe Cobra version, also blue with white stripe, and red with white stripe.
@rayrussell6258 Yes I know they own both brands, but the molds are different. They were made when the two companies were seperate. So they would have to retool to produce a Cobra II.
@@grb351 No they don't!! They can use the newer (or older) tool for either brand, just add different decals and wheels and maybe a few small parts in the box. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to find that Round2 has already designed in those different parts in the new tooling used for the kit being presented in this video. Rethink what you said. Strange what some people can misconstrue, but you did it there. Both brands are under ONE owner now. Round2 can leverage and market production from those tools however they wish. It won't require "retooling". There are ways around doing that.
Still love these Mustangs (and I drive a 68 Mustang) I so remember when the Mustang II hit the showrooms. It was so different. But the Mustang family continued. I will be building a couple. Great video again. Well done!
Excellent job, I can't wait to get this. I am going to build the drag racing pro stock version. I already have built the 1974 Mustang II from AMT product number T346. I bought that kit on eBay, it's been out of production for a long time.
I'm with ya Chris, need the cobra version. You said Starman, that burnt orange and black, awesome! I say Farrah Fawcetts blue and white cobra from Charlie's Angel's. On a personal note I had a '79 Mach 1. Red and Black with factory T-tops. Me and my Dad dropped a 289 in it with a 4 speed. That thing ripped! Anyway, great build Chris
The only two Mustang II cars that I’ve ever bought, were converted into Modified race cars. I’m glad to see that they’re releasing another one. I’ve got a few more to build! 👍
Awesome build, like the way it came out. I would have to buy three kit, would not know which one to build. Thanks for for explaining the areas that is troublesome. That what I like about your videos. Thanks see you in the next one.
I love Mustang IIs and have most of the MPC, AMT, the lone Revell kit as well as a couple of Japanese kits. Glad to see this back. I knew it would use the 77 body as the original's 1974 body was updated annually until 1977. Too bad they didn't include the ramps that were in the original kit. Great build Chris. I'm sure I will be picking up at least a couple of these.
When I get this kit, I am going to build the pro stock version. I already built the 1974 Mustang II pro stock version. I bought that kit on eBay a couple of years ago, it's been out of production for a long time. It was AMT product number T346.
Love watching your builds. Only downside is I always end up buying the set for myself and sticking it on the shelf for a rainy day build. My wife told me it's time to start putting some together rather than keep buying. 🤣
@Round2 Models Please retool the MPC kit as a Cobra II. It was only available in 1976. Never again released. Its arguable THE most popular Mustang II. Just my 2 cents. I alone would buy at least 3 or 4.
I believe it's because when this kit was originally tooled in 1974, there was no V8 option on the real car. So the V8 was considered drag only. Both MPC and AMT initially included stock V6s with V8s as custom options.
I don't understand the Goodyear tires, Back in the 70s, Ford cars came with Firestone tires. Ford and Firestone didn't part ways until the late 90s when Firestone shipped some bad tires causing recalls and lawsuits.
Does anybody know if it's possible to get these AMT models here in Europe? Because I'm from Spain and can't find them anywhere 😢 Every single one I see on this channel looks amazing. It seems very hard to find good muscle car and other American vehicles from other brands (or maybe I just don't know where to look, I'm pretty new to this hobby 😅) Any advice would be welcome 😊
Looks like Bachmann is an importer? www.bachmann.co.uk/category/construction-kits/amt Otherwise Modelroundup.com will ship worldwide as long as the buyer pays shipping and taxes into their country.

Built a Mustang II kit a few years back. Love it.. Watching you apply masking tape raised my Blood Pressure.. lol

Very nice. 👍

The Cobra II kit was released by MPC which is a different mold than this one.
@@grb351 MPC is a Round2 brand, and if they modified molds for this kit, they can still do another Cobra, I'd think, either as AMT or MPC.

I can't wait for it I want to make a pro stock out of it
My wife said that if I buy another model kit she's gonna leave me I'M GONNA MISS HER
Nice kit , beautiful build going to grab me 1
Still love these Mustangs (and I drive a 68 Mustang) I so remember when the Mustang II hit the showrooms. It was so different. But the Mustang family continued. I will be building a couple. Great video again. Well done!
I like it!!!! A V-6 engine is a nice touch. Can't wait to get this one. Keep up the great videos and reviews!!!! Have a great day.
I'm really excited for this one, I'm going to pre-order a couple.
A 1974 Mustang II was my first car!! Fabulous car and wish I still had it. Can't wait to get my hands on this kit!! 👏🏼
Excellent job, I can't wait to get this. I am going to build the drag racing pro stock version. I already have built the 1974 Mustang II from AMT product number T346. I bought that kit on eBay, it's been out of production for a long time.
All your builds look awesome I started watching your builds about a year ago

Looks like a nice kit I may have to buy it just because of the 2 moter choices an the exta tires an part's
Very cool Chris. I remember these stunt cars back in the day, but that Pro Stock is looking pretty sweet as well.
If you build the drag version, you'll have to flare the fender wells yourself because the kit doesn't include flares
Great build. I had a 75 Mach 1 with the 302. Loved that little car. I plan to build a replica of it.
DANG !
Nicest looking Mustang 2 model I've seen.
Thanks, Chris...
Another really nice build. Thanks.
Looks awesome! I can’t wait to pick up this kit!
Love these old kits, nice job
The only two Mustang II cars that I’ve ever bought, were converted into Modified race cars. I’m glad to see that they’re releasing another one. I’ve got a few more to build! 👍
Very cool project, love your videos! ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦
I remember when these came out and it was the end of good looking cars for a long time😮
Looks great! Thanks for the heads up!
Awesome build, like the way it came out. I would have to buy three kit, would not know which one to build. Thanks for for explaining the areas that is troublesome. That what I like about your videos. Thanks see you in the next one.
i saw their shows in the 80's i still have program from the show saw it a local fair. they were just as good as Joie Chitwood thrill show.
Excellent Mustang II build Chris! Definitely a bummer on the hood fitment issue… Glad you got it to work out in the end! She looks mean!
Nice job
This is the actual AMT mold! Cool!
I love Mustang IIs and have most of the MPC, AMT, the lone Revell kit as well as a couple of Japanese kits. Glad to see this back. The last Mustang ll I built was the Monroe Handler kit, when I was little,... many moons ago.
Nice build 😎😁
Sharp!
Over 4 yrs of watching your build's Chris you built another Great Car.... How about a Pro Stock build of this kit ???
When I get this kit, I am going to build the pro stock version. I already built the 1974 Mustang II pro stock version. I bought that kit on eBay a couple of years ago, it's been out of production for a long time. It was AMT product number T346.
Great build mate👍
Thanks as always!

I think they are two separate hobbies….my stash count is up to 188 lol

I am waitting for the Cobra II as well :D
I have to make that Starman car, it would be a blast. Maybe find some 3D figure print of them as well.
Round 2 needs to release the haul away trail with the hell drivers decals or just the decals
The tires look to big as opposed to the box art great build again 😊
we still have marathon gas stations in tenn.
Nicely built Chris what brand tape do you use for body to 2 tone I appreciate
Washi tape from craft stores works very well.
i want to build a king cobra 2 kit myself, also i wonder why they didn't give you a regular intake for the 351 or a 302 motor for that kit
I believe it's because when this kit was originally tooled in 1974, there was no V8 option on the real car. So the V8 was considered drag only. Both MPC and AMT initially included stock V6s with V8s as custom options.
lol use a chrome rattle can.😀😀I bet it didn't cost 30 bucks just because it was named Revell
It was part of my chrome spray paint comparison video.
The Revell is the best on the market, but there are others that produce really nice results.

Chris- can't UA-cam filter out some of these bots in the comments?
The worst part is that people actually give thumbs up 👍🏻 to their replies. Unbelievable
