Sandy’s Café is located next to a laundromat and serves delicious Cuban sandwiches and plantains. They will also deliver. We eat there once or twice every time we go to Key West.
Don't get me wrong, we still liked the beaches, but if we were going to Florida specifically for the beaches rather than other activities we'd look elsewhere. The keys are coral islands so not big soft sandy beaches. The water is beautiful though and Key West is a fun place to visit 🙂

I'm surprised the beaches aren't nicer. You said two of them import sand but still aren't particularly nice?

It's a very expensive tourist trap. Bring lots of money.
