He do not own a sandblasting cabinet himself, so he has to go to a company to get it done, and maybe they do not want him to record it, or they didn't blast the stove the same day he delivered it to them.
J Rand It’s still heartbreaking. I feel like a lot of restoration fans particularly like the sandblasting. It’s like porn without nudity if you skip that.
I didn't think I would ever see one of these stoves again, we had one at my parents home 50 odd years ago in the so called morning room. You've made a very good job of it.
That was soooooo satisfying! Just started my own restore. An old pot bellied stove of mysterious heritage. It's spectacularly knackered, so here's hoping :)
Absolutely amazing restoration. This stove was made by Turkish factory named "ŞAKİR ZÜMRE" . My grandmother have one like this. It has same logo "ZS" Congatulation. Have a nice days.

Dang that stove looked like you recovered it from a swamp. You did a superb job of not only restoring it's beauty, but a fantastic job of making it functional again. If you don't already have any, may I suggest that you take on an apprentice or two? Skills like yours need to be passed on.

Great skills with the cutting disk, watch your fingers thou🤞Liked thé touch of breaking up all the black with the small amount of white which gave it a antique look about it. 10/10👍
Really like the way you use the dry brush effect to bring some highlights. Do you know anything about the history of this type of stove, I think the three-legged design has to be unique. Thanks for sharing this story.
Many times salesmen needed a working sample of the product they were trying to sell, including potbelly stoves. The company found that many folks liked the small size as well and manufactured in that size as well, especially for apartments. This could have been a salesmen sample or a sold potbelly. My thinking is salesmen sample since it's not cast iron...
Radek... you are so amazing! Missing pieces? No problem! Broken pieces? No sweat! You can fix anything and make it beautiful! Are you keeping this one?
Amazing work! That's the most beautiful tiny stove in the world ❤ I'd love to have one like that in my garden cottage. Also I'm curious what's the name of the music at the end of the video :)
this is actually a lower end one. As the price went up, so did the features. Some had mica-glass windows in the doors so you could watch the fire. Others had other fancy details. Depends on brand and model, but they used to be common.
@leah rose yes the mica comes off in thin layers. All the heating and cooling cycles do that over time. It was what was available at the time though, they didn't have a glass that would stand up to it then.
This is an absolute delight. To think how you rescued this charming stove that most people would have thrown out. You are a true artist. I have just subscribed.
I liked the animation of the parts into the basket. Also the little animated bits. They gave me a bit of a giggle on some of them. I enjoyed watching this one!
Have to say I believe you've outdone yourself. The editing is wonderful. My question concerns the cutting wheel you used to cut the heavy steel. Is it by chance a diamond wheel?
@@VeradonaRestoration I think you and I are the only people that use diamond wheels in cutting steel. I have one that I'm about to change as it's getting a bit thin. It's about 5 years old and I just can't understand why so many use the fibre disc in cutting steel. Thank you
Once again, folks- you have not only warmed a place around you but also my heart. Part of the reason I watch your videos is the satisfaction I obtain mentally when I see a device restored to use, and how, one day, in the Resurrection we will all be restored to "newness of Life", to cherish the days to come in the service of our Heavenly Father, and with our families. I like to think of restoration like this is a way one might find a closeness to his Maker. Thank you for all you share with us, and may God continue to bless you with many days and many new adventures in returning things we create to use once more, in imitation of His desire to return "the works of His hands"- us- to Life once more.
Awesome restoration! Most people would have passed over that in a junk pile and never saw the possibilities that lie hidden beneath all that rust! Here’s a little nugget of knowledge I learned! Someone told me that they put dryer lint inside an empty toilet roll and pour wax that they got from their scented candles that no longer have any scent into it. Then they cut it into discs and use them to set the small pieces of kindling on fire. I thought that was ingenious!
i've noticed 3 main types of rust 1 to me this is the most annoying type of rust a bright orange rust just on the surface of the metal you can almost wipe most of it off with your hand but will need a wire brush to get it all off it doesn't cause any structural damage just ruins the appearance 2 this kind of rust is almost a protective layer it it is still very hard and doesn't really cause any structural damage it can be polisher smooth by regular use 3 this is the worst kind of rust this causes major structural. damage and can flake off in sheets and rust right through thinner metal if this rust is on thinner metal the metal is usually beyond repair like and leave a reply if you have noticed any other types of rust.
*True Story:* Neighbor wanted to make a stove out of a High Fructose Corn Syrup barrel. There was some solidified at the bottom, so he tried to melt it out. The barrel melted, first.

He do not own a sandblasting cabinet himself, so he has to go to a company to get it done, and maybe they do not want him to record it, or they didn't blast the stove the same day he delivered it to them.

Sandblasting is my favorite part of a restoration. Second to that is the disassembly.
I rewinded twice thinking I missed the sand blasting
