UGH this is by far my favorite formulation that I've ever tried, but it's simply too orange on my skin (I'm fair-skinned but have rosacea, so my goal is always to find a tinted mineral sunscreen that evens out my skin tone). It's the only one that gives a mattifying finish and also blurs my gigantic pores. I really hope they expand their tint range.

I love it also, use it as my base product. If the tone is wrong, try mixing it with a blue concealer or mix in. LA girl makes colored mixins that are inexpensive that help to change the tone and the blue will make it cooler toned!

I really love your hair cut. Around four years ago I chopped off my bra-strap length hair to a layered just-to-the-shoulders look. I CANNOT impress on you the difference this made to me in my life. It def took off ten years (like they always say;-). I like us "hot-flashers" to be free to wear longer hair if it makes us feel better. I didn't intend to chop off five inches that day when I went in for a blow-dry, but I am so grateful to that brave hairdresser--who has become a good friend--that I veered away from my lifetime long hair wearing self...

I have gone on my sunscreen journey at 50 because of you and Dr Dray. Started with Australian Gold and loved the feel and finish until it started to dry out my skin. Next I tried Cerave Tinted, Elta MD Elements and Restore. Cerave was a bit heavy and Elta Restore was a too emollient feeling. Elta Elements felt better but had a slight drying effect. Everything changed when I learned about Undefined R&R. That sunscreen works the best for my uber sensitive skin. It does look shiny when first applied but never feels heavy. Since I only spot cover certain areas with concealer that sunscreen works as my base. I add a bit of powder here and there and I am left with a healthy glow. Their customer service is also stellar. Thank you for being a sunscreen ambassador.

I've taken to just using my Australian Gold in lieu of a foundation (once and a while I'll dust with a little powder). Fabulous vid, as always, but I'd love to see an updated one on body sunscreens...the last one was 4 years ago or so! (Obviously, since you use so much more, price point is even more important!)

I started using Australian Gold after you recommended it last year. I have combo skin and liked that it kept the oily parts matte without being too dry elsewhere. Right now I am liking Ilia and then using the powder you recommended: Tarte Amazonian Clay Blurring Powder. Your hair, as always, looks beautiful. Hi Angie! I had a basil/squamus skin cancer on my face in 2016. It was damage that the doctor said was from waaaayyyy back when I was a sun goddess. I haven't been a sun worshiper since i was 29 years old. I'm 57 and have been so careful since age 29. Low and behold, a skin cancer appeared on my face. I was devastated and had to go to a MOE's surgeon to have it removed! Just awful. It took almost a full year for that scar and area to heal and look normal again. It looks great now and I was recommended to use the Elta MD and I love it! Having listened to you compare sunscreens is fantastic and I now love the R & R as well! I switch off on both of them. Thank you for all your information and seriousness about protecting your skin from the sun's damaging rays, no matter what age your audience is. The hair cut is so attractive! In the past few years, some of your subscribers strongly opposed suggestions to try a shorter hair length. For anyone who needs a sunscreen that can survive sweat... I work outdoors, and the only sunscreen I've ever tried (including several of these) that doesn't run into my eyes is SolRX. It was formulated for triathletes, so it has fantastic staying power against sweat & rubbing. I slather it on, pack my lunch cooler, blot the shine with a tissue, and apply my makeup. It doesn't play well with all makeup, but I'll work around that to keep my eyes from burning & stinging all summer.
Note: It behaves like an occlusive layer, so it can make strong actives applied under it act stronger. I adjust the amount of the active that I apply.

Asian sunscreens are so far advanced over the ones in the U.S. They are lighter, adapt easier to serums and makeup and contain advanced chemical blocks that don't cause the irritation that American formulations can. Dermatologists are big fans as well. I only wear Asian sunscreens now. I don't have to deal with the grease factor or wait 20 to 30 minutes for absorption. Plus, almost all are SPF 50 or higher. I'm a HUGE sunscreen gal! I have vitiligo (white spots) as well as a pesky sun allergy that presents as tiny blisters and red dots. I get pimples easily, and many screens sting!😅
My face favourites are Round Lab Birch Juice Sun Cream and Beauty of Joseon. Both are spf 50 pa++++. The Australian Gold truly is amazing for blurring pores and shine - I use it on my nose and forehead like makeup! But otherwise it is too drying on the rest of my face.
For my body, the Eucerin Sun Allergy Protect is phenomenal! I've yet to try it on my face, because my Korean sunscreens have great filters that also calm my sun allergy.
Ideally, Round Lab or Joseon would just make a huge bottle with pump for all-over face and body! It would probably be terribly expensive, but just IMAGINE.😌 One can dream!

The Heliocare 360 A-R Emulsion SPF50+ is also very nice for lighter skin tones, it uses mineral filters and Tinosorb A2B, inititally very shiny, however it dries down to a very nice finish. The Beauty of Joseon is way too glowy and shiny for me, don't completely understand why it is so popular, I prefer something like Eucerin Oil Control. SVR Sun Secure Extreme is also very nice and matte, only the newer modern filters, and literally invisible on skin, unfortunately it has a fragrance which I don't like. Australian Gold has a nice finish, a nice blurring effect, but looking up close, at the recommended amount, it does settle in fine lines and pores, and feels quite drying and bc it's so matte in accentuates fine lines for me. Some of the "all mineral" sunscreens you mentioned do contain the chemical uv filter Butyloctyl Salicylate btw.

I've been wearing the Paula's Choice 30 SPF mineral sunscreen for two or three years. I decided to try the Beauty of Joseon 50 SPF and just got it in and started wearing it this week. So far, I'm really liking it. I haven't noticed being any more glowy than I usually am (and I'm a seriously oily girl) and I like that it's a chemical sunscreen but manages to NOT burn my eyes, which is why I was wearing mineral sunscreen to begin with.

Angie! I also LOVE the r&r…when it’s good, it’s SO good. But now that I’ve been using for years and have gone through a number of bottles, it does have this separation issue in every other bottle. I’m back here with your spot-on analysis looking for an alt, but hoping you have the skinny on what’s up with R&R. I don’t want to let it go! I appreciate you!

The R&R and Elta UV Elements are the only two sunscreens that my facial skin can tolerate. I also like the Elta MD UV Lip Balm (spf 36); it's soothing and hydrating and seems to retain a protective film on my lips, rather than evaporating, which I appreciate. Have a beautiful Easter weekend, Angie. ❤

I just got back from Turks and Caicos, and the sport sunscreens I used were, the Coppertone Sport mineral 50 resistant to sweat, heat, and water and Bare Republic 100 spf invisible finish (reef compliant). They performed so well under water, and heavy sweat (paddle boarding). The new Coppertone sport mineral sunscreen (24% ZO) is truly a sheer formulation for my brown skin. They both safe my melasma from looking like 1,000 shades of brown 😂

Hi Angie. Yr hair looks amazing….this is my fave subject…first I’d like to say a big thank you because since I’ve been watching your channel over the last 8 years, I’ve been using sunscreen 50 plus as well as yr skincare routine. My skin use to make me look a lot older than my age because I baked for 6 hrs at a time in my youth, and now people have commented that I look younger than my age. This is definitely a result of wearing spf 50 +. Living in Qld Australia, we have the highest skin cancer rate in the world and I’ve had my fair share. We have alot of sunscreens to choose from. I mostly use what you suggest Angie, but I’ve just started using Bondi Beach 50+ face fluid. Do you have this brand in the USA? It’s lovely, cool and I also recommend it. It’s a mineral zinc base with no white cast. I was using Hamilton 50+ face base tinted. Nice but a chemical, which I want to stop using. As always, I respect and love all the info you deliver to us 2ce a week. You really are the best, youtubey sis….💖sending you sunshine from Oz xxx🌏⛱️🌞

However, I don't use it in warmer months because I live where it is very hot and humid and I sweat it off and need a water resistant one.
