Yes a bit obvious but the other 9 choices were well-considered. Of course now we hope you'll do a Top 10 Worst Boss Weapons. Worst Lists are usually fun.

A weapon shouldn't be considered good if it outclasses every other weapon in its respective game in every single way. Balance is a factor for making good Mega Man weapons. A Mega Man weapon shouldn't have the number 1 spot on the best Mega man weapons list if it makes every other weapon useless.
It's not The Blade which outclasses the Weapons, THE OTHER 6 ARE ATROUCIOUS (COUGH*)
Quick Boomerang is a Decent weapon with High damage but short Range.
Atomic Fire is an inconsistant Nuke
Bubble Lead would be the worst weapon in the entire series if it wasn't for Spark Shock.
Time Stopper is ok, i Guess
Leaf Shield is garbage
Air Shooter is fine.
Crash Bomb doesn't do that much damage

That is true, but put the Metal Blades in, say, Mega Man X3, the only other weapon that would be useful compared to the Metal Blades is Spinning Blade, another weapon that is often called overpowered.
Even the developers thought it was overpowered because they made a much less useful version of it in Mega Man 3; the shadow blade. It can no longer fire directly downward with a shorter range, slower speed, AND with only the ability to be thrown in 5 directions as opposed to 8, yet it's still one of the best weapons in that game... But then again, Mega Man 3 also has Top Spin and Spark Shock.
Why does everyone forget Mega Man and Bass? It has some of the best weapons in the series.
Because the westerners got to experience the inferior GBA version and tend to forget about it

Wow, you called Hornet Chaser's projectiles "hornets" and not "bees" like everyone (myself included) else does!
They're bees. Hornet Man was originally Honey Woman, even Hornet Man himself has a honeycomb for a chest.

1. Hold on. This weapon is overrated. I didn't like it because of how broken it was.
Jewel Satellite has higher weapon energy consumption, goes out after coming in contact with an enemy with more than 1 HP and is much less effective against large enemies.

Good thing that the stages were built with Jewel Satellite in mind. In a game such as, say, Mega Man 8, it'd be far less useful since loads of enemies are tanky in that game, but in Mega Man 9 there are so many places where Jewel Satellite is useful, such as:
The falling rock segments in Concrete Man's stage
The umbrella segment in Tornado Man's stage
The scissor and flower pot enemies in Hornet Man's stage
Literally all of Plug Man's stage
Literally all of Galaxy Man's stage
In addition, the Jewel Satellite does not shatter when it hits anything with 1-2 HP, thus giving it infinite combat potential. Everything you just listed keeps it a balanced weapon.
Noah M. It breaks the game a little, I like using it on that platforming section in wily 3, with the cannons and joes
A lot of good, interesting weapons. Truth be told, ALL the weapons in Mega Man 9 are excellent, but the Black Hole Bomb and Hornet Chaser are extremely cool and useful.

No Metal Blade + no Quick Boomerang. Then you'll see how dreadful MM2 really is.

If a game has a weapon so powerful with so much ammo that it renders all other weapons (even weaknesses) useless, yes, the game is now boring.
Great list. No list is complete without Black Hole Bomb, Hornet Chaser, Thunder Beam, and the famous Metal Blade. I think Nico Evaluates has sadly skewed everyone's favor of the Metal Blade.

Hard man is incredibly easy if you hug the walls while he’s firing his fists as if you hug the walls, the fists won’t return. I do agree that his fight is very boring and drawn out
Hard Man is made far easier by dodging at the very end of the arena. The Hard Knuckles get spawned off the screen, and won't have the space to return.

You say Hard Man is difficult to beat with the Mega Buster. Can you believe when I first played MM3 he was the first boss I ever beat? ^_^
He was easy to me. Ignored his projectiles doged his stomp and then he died. And his weapon isn't even good.
@@petelee2477 Hard Knuckle is an excellent weapon; one of the best in MM3 if you know your regular enemy immunities. It's basically a majorly upgraded Crash Bomb from MM2.
It retains the same barrier-destroying utility and high base damage of its predecessor, while adding a (limited) ability to guide the projectile up or down while it's in flight, and nearly twice the ammo count.
Just like Top Spin, don't knock it if you don't know how to use it. (Spark Shot is still complete garbage though)
@@atmosdwagon4656 I never said it was useless I just think it's not that good personally I think the gemini lazer does about the same damage and much faster.
As for the top spinner it's my personal favorite weapon. It was a blessing for platforming since I could land on surfaces without worrying about dodging enemies and unlike the shield it had enough weapon energy last throughout the entire game even if it was the only weapon I ever used unlike most shields that crack after about 5 uses
Flame blast is also powerful.through it doesnt cover much,but it deals great damage.(I also personally like it better then metal blade imo)

Thought you were gonna mention Metal Blade's ability to be stationary but yeah, it's an Über weapon.
Can't make it stationary legitimately though.
I'll give honorable mentions to Thunder Bolt (Cloud Man MM7), Slash Claw (Slash Man MM7), Jewel Satellite (Jewel Man MM9), Gyro Attack (Gyro Man MM5), Wheel Cutter (Nitro Man MM10), Laser Trident (Splash Woman MM9), Quick Boomerang (Quick Man MM2), Fire Storm (Fire Man MM1), Rolling Cutter (Cut Man MM1), and Flash Stopper (Bright Man MM4).
In my opinion, diamond shield is the best shield. It only goes away when it come against an enemy it can’t one shot.

Tbh,I don't like G. Hold, it's a screen clear that does bad damage for one. If you spam it you'll hurt your eyes (I tried).
Edit: I like astro crush more, but the idea of a screen clear has never been my favourite.

9: I can absolutely agree on this. But I will say that Slash Claw is a FUCKING CLOSE second.

Honestly I came into this list hoping metal blade wasn’t number 1..... metal blades are too good, and they honestly suck because of it. When a game gives me 8 weapons to choose from and I only use one for the most part, that’s a serious problem.
Metal blades is a good weapon in megaman 2, the problem for it is the balance considering how overpowered the weapon really is though

Metal blade is simply broken and unbalanced, to say it's the best is just, ew after all Mega Man 2 was rushed to death, the metal blade just kills the whole game much how the mega buster kills Mega Man 5, should've been something else like shadow blade or slash claw, flash bomb even.
