I sold my Glock Gen 4 G19 and bought the Sig P320 Tac Ops. I thought I may have made a bad decision, that is until I went to the range..... No regrets here ! Good Video....
Just bought a Sig Sauer P320 Texas Ranger Limited edition 2 weeks ago for Home Defense and shooting range. My very first Firearm that I own. 2nd Amendment Right:)
I didn't want to like glocks for years, until I picked up a 17 rtf marked down and realized my bias was holding me back from a great gun. I now own and carry several of them. Since I got on board with glock I found myself developing the same irrational bias against sig. I think I'm going break the cycle and buy a P320 and see where it leads me. Being too much of a fan boy to any brand really only keeps you from experiencing other great firearms. Great video and just subbed.
To be fair I never bought in on the glock wagon until I got a 19x a week ago, Being my first Glock I’m curious as to why I never bought a gen 4 a couple years ago, I feel the exact same way, Were just limiting ourselves to a bunch of great systems. (Always shot sig and XD)
I feel like this should be the standard.. people seem so concerned with which brand is better and then talking crap about other brands.. the reality is that several different companies make quality firearms and all that matters is if you can shoot well with it and it's reliable for you.
19:53 Just an update on this. IDPA has clarified that it is legal, including the grip weight, if you use different mags/baseplates so it will fit in the box. Springer Precision sells baseplates for this purpose. Swapping a baseplate isn't what I'd call a lot of work.
I find your review super accurate, It’s like your in my head! I have both of these guns and its so hard to say which one is better. SIG is an outstanding manufacturer without a doubt and I hate that SIG/GLOCK/SW make such awesome guns because I went from home defense buyer to collector! Please tell people you know that this is an addictive hobby!
Speaking of mixing and matching... I bought the subcompact model P320, but didn't like the mag capacity. So I bought the polymer grip for the compact model and a few mags and fitted it to my subcompact slide/ barrel. Shaved some polymer of the end to make it flush and viola! Still has great balance and excellent accuracy!
You've got the whole Sig corral, and I don't know which to choose. I like the RX slide on the X5 grip, seems like a great match. Good thing we live here and you don't have to choose, get em all brother!
the trigger in the x5 is a direct import from the P226 sao legion. the x5 front sight will not work indoor or on a dark night, for us o.l.d.e.r. guys with glasses. changed over to xray #6 front post. bought the x5 based on your Guns America review
Excellent excellent review! The slide interchangeable part was very informative. Also that head on camera angle was awesome maybe a muzzle rise view. I know I won't get any love for this but a comparison between the X5 and the tp9sfx would be cool IN MY OPINION. Kinda show the same gun category at extremely different price points.
Sorta like getting the table right outside the bathroom door at a restaurant ....... fine dinning, unpleasant surroundings......... what's to enjoy???? IMO
Excellent shooting, brother. Tight and consistent groups. Great video. Very in depth and informative. A friend of mine picked up one of these and i'm fairly certain that my Glock 34 G4 is going to become a safe queen after i pick up one of these. Liked and subscribed.
This is a terrific channel, I bought a case of N95 masks from medial supply co about 6 months ago. Gave a lot away. I agree that cloth masks will not filter virus but from what I can find out and from my Infecitous disease colleagues the N95 or Kn95 do filter virus. Obviously anyone can do as they please. The cases in Ga are doing down a lot. Hope it will be over soon.
Just to clear up the magazines. For the 21 round mags the squared off base plate model will work on both the X series and Classic. The tombstone shaped 21 rnd mags will not work in the x series.
Thanks brother for the information, but I still can’t make up my mind LOL!! I believe I’m going with the X5, you gave me a LOT of info I didn’t know. Thanks for your comparison and your opinion. One thing I can say is your good with either maybe a little better then me!! Great video, I’m subscribed to your channel so keep em coming I WILL watch!!
I was at a Sig Sauer demo last week and the representative swapped the slides on any 320s in addition he swapped the trigger groups and showed us how the trigger group was serialized not the lower grip You can even swap short slide and long slides
Great video! Thank you! I can identify with most of what you say. I bought the "Classic P320," but the X Carry felt better in my hand and I like the flat trigger. For the same reason, I am going to buy the X5 when it comes out in Nitron Black again. It's all about comfort and feel, although, it's not like you can go wrong with this platform. Buy what feels best to you. The rest of the equation is apples to apples. Plus, it's a Sig, which mean, it works.
Thanks for the comparison. Think I'll eventually get the P320 "Classic". I would go get one tomorrow but I already spent the gun budget for the year on a P229 Stainless Elite in .40. Sig discontinued the SE in favor of a faux version and I wanted a SE before I couldn't get one.
6:35 Had to laugh...I was moving my head around trying to line up the sights! 20:43 Did I miss something? It sure looked like you shot the X5 better to me! If you had added in the RX you would of smoked both of them. I shoot similar groups with iron sights, but with the RX compact.....yikes! It's like being in your 20's all over again. I can put 13 or 15 in 4" at 25 yds. Without the optic its more like 10"+ groups! It's the best thing for handguns in a long time.
More than likely the Dawson sights on the RX that give a little more precision..Notice how he takes a little more time to line up with the Dawson sights..
I dunno.... 3 thumbs down already, and it's only been a few minutes. Might just quit making the vids if that's how it's going to be... they should at least put a comment about what they don't like.
Justin Opinion , don't change a thing brother!!!! Your videos are top shelf (that's trucker speak for damn good) in my opinion. You obviously enjoy shooting and are pretty good at it. You are very informative and add some humor in with it. I have a P320 .45 compact and like it so much that I am thinking of getting one in 9mm. Now I have to think a little more about it, may end up with an x5. Start saving, again.lol P.S. KEEP ON ROCKIN!
So did you shoot the classic 320 with the RX slide on it? Would love to know how it shot with the heavier barrel. I too prefer the rounded grip of the classic. I only wish the trigger reach was a little longer. I shoot a carry grip in Large. I have big hands and long fingers. I find myself using the joint in my trigger finger a lot. I do have the Apex trigger too which did add a little bit of trigger reach, but I could use more..
Love both pistols, I have an RX320 along with the X5, X5 trigger is phenomenal. I switched to a truglo TFO front, Amazing firearm. May go to a Romeo1 down the road but for now I’m more than happy with both.
Pardon my ignorance, I'm really new to guns. My first gun is a P320 and I love it. Can you change out the gun part, as you do the other P320's? Do you have to buy the whole system as this will probably be my next gun. Thanks.
I just bought my first Sig because of you! I bought P320x carry I cant wait to shoot it great job! I have a question you have heard about DPM technologies do you think I should replace stock spring in the new gun I'm buying?
amazing good review of two amazing good guns. Do you think the x-five will be approved in IPSC anytime soon?? Production division isnt possible with the magwell but Open division should be possible.
Great Video! Could you just get a Full Size P320 grip/frame module and put the X-5 internals into the standard P320 Frame? That would allow for multiple competition disciplines
Cool video just bought a p320 as my 1st handgun I'm super happy I came across your video Now I know I can buy a different upper with the rmr already on Can you point me to the right direction to where I can buy the x5 upper
Justin Opinion YOU HAVE TO BE RONNIE MUND'S LONG LOST BROTHER LOL! Great video, I daily carry a SIG P320 Carry model, the 3.9inch barrel, outstanding gun!
LOL. I've never met Ronnie, but years ago I was actually a "friend of the show" and Gary would always take my calls (off-air). I've met Howard a couple times and talked with him, and I did a photo of him that he used in his book. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
Justin Opinion Wow that is awesome! I used to watch his show on E channel. Recently (April) I relocated from long island NY to Phoenix AZ, it was a long 2600 mile trip by car and his show on Sirius satellite made me laugh my ass off the whole way. BTW if you ever get the chance to drive through/over Colorado.....careful! Driving through Utah was life changing, awesome scenery.
WoW what a really awesome Review Video. The P320 "classic" :P will be my first Gun and i´m so exited, i can´t wait to train with the beauty. Thank you :). Greeting from Germany (yes also here it´s possible to have Guns... for the shooting range :( *laugh)
Very well - though I confess I don't use it a bunch. It's a toss-up between that and the Trijicon for which is my favorite. And it's way cheaper than the Trijicon.
I was looking at the recoil as you fired both guns. They both seemed about the same to me the X-Five actually looked like it had slightly more recoil. According to SIG the higher undercut in the X-Five is supposed to reduce the recoil but it does not look like it. The other thing is that they both seem to be just as accurate from your video. If theres really no other difference except for those sights is the X-Five really worth the extra almost $300 more your going to pay?
I have a X5 and a Xcompact and I had a p320 ( I sold the p320) but I still have some of the grips. The X5 is a no brainer it's just under $700 and it has a better trigger, better sights, a RMR, a better grip, 4 -21 round mags. cuts in the slide, all for about $150 more as I said it's a no brainer to me. Plus I think it's better looking. It's a great range gun you can shoot it all day and never know you shot a gun.. But for a all around gun the 320 Compact is the gun, plus it shoots like a bigger gun..These are 2 guns that are in my collection for good.
I use both, depending on my intended purpose for the gun. But I use the rubber much more than the granulate because I think it has a more universal purpose.
great vid, awesome aim too! i daily carry my sig p320 carry model (3.9barrel) along with my m&p 2.0, love em both! i have a glock 17 which i love, but the extra weight in the other guns makes me more accurate especially doing 2 and 3 shot bursts. KUDO's to anyone that daily carry the full size p320-that thing is HEAVY lol.
Okay. From what you've shown us the standard 320 slide rides perfectly on the X5 variant. Would I be correct in assuming that my 320 chasis will seat properly in an X5 frame? My dilemma is that I have two newly acquired P320RX compacts. I love everything about the gun except the high bore and the way my hands sits so low on the grip. I'm s Glock shooter and I'm finding it hard to to shoot the 320 as well as my old gen 4 G17, and 19. I think this grip may help me substantially assuming the frame is compatible with the classic chassis. I'm tempted to sell them off and just go back to the Glock MOS platform, but I don't want to give up on the Sig so quickly because it is a great setup and the value more than speaks for itself. Any light you can shine on this I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for the great video and your time. -Corey
Justin Opinion Now that Talon has FDE grips, hopefully the color match will look good on my Sig ? I put FDE Talon rubber on my Black Ruger SR9c and I'm still not sure how I like the color ?

Tough call. Let's just say I'll take the Sig... :-)
Hummm...good choice..lol

I told myself that I would NEVER buy a Sig 320, but after they came out with this model...im definetly getting this one!
I think I’ll go with one for each hand. Seems like the right thing to do. 👍
Lol true hard to decide. I'm a Glock but that p365 and p320compact is making me want to put Sig 1 and Glocks for my lineup
13:36 "The boxes themselves are identical... it's just a different base plate" *holds up two mags with obviously different metal tube lengths* =)
Love the “get your gun off” video in the beginning!
You've got the whole Sig corral, and I don't know which to choose. I like the RX slide on the X5 grip, seems like a great match. Good thing we live here and you don't have to choose, get em all brother!
I definitely closed my left eye out of habit when you showed the sight picture. Who else did that? (right handed left eye dominant) Cool vid bro.

Real good video and demo of both guns. You always display some very cool shooting.
Thanks again and keep these videos coming.

I sawed off the wings of my 320 mags and they now lock just fine in my x-five frame.
cheers from Norway. This really makes me want to get into shooting again. Been years since I shot a gun.
Get back out and do it, if you can. Great fun!
I shot an X-5 today. Wow such a good feel. Great grip and trigger.
Another great head to head. Price is always a factor for myself and the reg sig doesn't seem to give up much to the x5. I vote original P320!
I love my p320 x-carry. Then Installed the full size rx slide on to the carry grip. Sexy, debating on sending in full slide in for lightening cuts.
Thank you Justin for another fantastic review.
Have you bumped your head? I bought an X5 frame for my full size 320, and it takes the same 21 round mags as the full size frame!
This is a terrific channel, I bought a case of N95 masks from medial supply co about 6 months ago. Gave a lot away. The bob ross of the gun world ....... I love it . Great video
Just to clear up the magazines. For the 21 round mags the squared off base plate model will work on both the X series and Classic. The tombstone shaped 21 rnd mags will not work in the x series.
Any chance you can do a side by side between the X-Five and the Canik TP9SFx?
Hello Justin, thanks a lot for this video, i would like to know at what distance you are shooting in this range ?
Thanks brother for the information, but I still can’t make up my mind LOL!! I believe I’m going with the X5, you gave me a LOT of info I didn’t know. Thanks for your comparison and your opinion. One thing I can say is your good with either maybe a little better then me!! Great video, I’m subscribed to your channel so keep em coming I WILL watch!!

The X Five is sold up here in Canada without the magwell and with 10 rd mags and is completely legal for IDPA.
You could quite possibly have the best Verses videos on youtube
Nice of you to say - thanks. I just try to make a video that I would want to watch.
rawtoon2000 I agree.
@@JustinOpinionChannel Well sir, you succeed in spades. I have watched other comparison video. They usually seem to drag, but not yours. Well done.
Great camera and editing work on this video. Had the kids watching with me.
Have you ever thought of having Talon make you a glove.....wouldn't ever need to wrap another frame...
Brilliant!! That would be like putting little carpet squares under your feet... :D
You make some of the best videos..
Great video. Thanks!
I love Sig and the P320 platform! Sig Rocks!!! thanx for sharing Justin!
Thanks for sharing. Is your P 320 classic the same as what the Army is using the M17? Love the new X5 series!
6:35 Had to laugh...I was moving my head around trying to line up the sights!

I dunno.... 3 thumbs down already, and it's only been a few minutes. Might just quit making the vids if that's how it's going to be... they should at least put a comment about what they don't like.
Justin Opinion lol I know what you mean. I'm a Hispanic gun UA-camr, I get allot of bad comments too lol. Keep your head up man. Ignore the haters
thanks.... some days it is hard... I'll have to visit your channel and show you some love.
Justin Opinion thx man!
Can't argue about the groupings! Nice shooting!
The x5 grip with the rx oh my gorsh!
I have a 320 legion and an x5. My 21 rd mags interchange with np. Both are superb to shoot and I think both are keepers.
Love the content thanks
Fantastic shooting.Wish i could do half as well. Thanks thou im learning by watching you.
Love both pistols, I have an RX320 along with the X5, X5 trigger is phenomenal. I switched to a truglo TFO front, Amazing firearm. May go to a Romeo1 down the road but for now I’m more than happy with both.
Good review! I would like to know if the Fire Control Unit of the X5 will work on the regular P320 frame and slide?
Yes
Saw a guy get disqualified at the Missouri State IDPA championship after making it through equipment check and four stages with one.
Bummer!
I was wanting to get the x5 for the purpose of match shooting. What part of the gun disqualified him?
Love your video's keep it up. Subscribed
Thanks! I'll try!
Pardon my ignorance, I'm really new to guns. My first gun is a P320 and I love it. Can you change out the gun part, as you do the other P320's? Do you have to buy the whole system as this will probably be my next gun. Thanks.
Enjoyed the vid man would love that x five ported slide to have that ted dot optic cut
I just bought my first Sig because of you! I bought P320x carry I cant wait to shoot it great job! I have a question you have heard about DPM technologies do you think I should replace stock spring in the new gun I'm buying?
Should have just made the 320 X5 a long slide model another inch of sight radius and barrel could help, hell make it a threaded barrel.
Ditto to both.
@@lazerrred Why bother if you mount an optic the longer barrel is not needed as you are not worrying about sight radius with an Optic. I
Have you tried the lima 320?!? Curiuos how that feels.
It feels similar to the regular frame, but still comfortable and holds zero
I love my flat trigger on my 365 Xl. Wanting the 320x full baddd!
Can't wait to see the X carry.
I want a P320 compact with the P320x carry frame.
President really nice relaxing country a lot of fun shooting there awesome super fantastic great @
I have both style 21 round extended mags and the X-5 grip mags fit in a carry and full size P320. The older style looks better on a P320.
amazing good review of two amazing good guns. Do you think the x-five will be approved in IPSC anytime soon?? Production division isnt possible with the magwell but Open division should be possible.
PE J you can remove the the magwell
hmmm..... some say you can and some say it doesn´t matter wont be able to shoot in Production anyway.
Just picked up a x carry , fantastic handgun , fun to shoot , thanks for the review
Haven't touched one of those yet.... would like to.
Is the barrel stainless steel?
Great video, love the 320c and my G19.
I might have missed it in your video, but it looks like the X-five can accept the RX sight itself on the slide, is this true?
Want the P320 full size, real bad. ....so cool.
So if you didn’t have the apex trigger. You could swap out your trigger group also?
Great review on two great pistols. Interesting side note: looks like you are a left eye dominant, right-handed shooter.
I am. ;-)
Did you drop test them by chance?
Great Video! Could you just get a Full Size P320 grip/frame module and put the X-5 internals into the standard P320 Frame? That would allow for multiple competition disciplines
What holster are you using for your P320 xfive?
What about the fire control group can they be swapped out as well
Is it not just remove mag extension to make it production division
Cool video just bought a p320 as my 1st handgun
I'm super happy I came across your video
Now I know I can buy a different upper with the rmr already on
Can you point me to the right direction to where I can buy the x5 upper

Damn , how many version of P320 is sig going to come out ???
How is your Romeo1 holding up?
Very well - though I confess I don't use it a bunch. It's a toss-up between that and the Trijicon for which is my favorite. And it's way cheaper than the Trijicon.
Thank you for your insight and the great videos! Now if the X-Carry came in .357 Sig...
I was looking at the recoil as you fired both guns. They both seemed about the same to me the X-Five actually looked like it had slightly more recoil. a better grip, 4 -21 round mags. cuts in the slide, all for about $150 more as I said it's a no brainer to me. Plus I think it's better looking. It's a great range gun you can shoot it all day and never know you shot a gun.. But for a all around gun the 320 Compact is the gun, plus it shoots like a bigger gun..These are 2 guns that are in my collection for good.
is there a caliber exchange kit to keep your lightning cut upper and x5 grip ?
What are the grip indexes?
IDPA told me if I put the flat Apex trigger on my P320 it would not be legal for SSP class.
True. That would put you in ESP
Which talon grip do u use? Rubber or sandpaper

I did not try to do that yet, but that's a good idea. I might make a 2 minute video showing whether or not it can be done.
Justin Opinion you'd be my hero if you could do that!
According to measurements and slide dimensions they are exactly the same. They should fit.
On June 21st I'll be taking home my Sig P320C Two Tone !!
I Put Talon Rubber Grips on all my pistols, usually ?
I'm not sure if the P320C needs it ?
I like it on them.

Now that Talon has FDE grips, hopefully the color match will look good on my Sig ?
I put FDE Talon rubber on my Black Ruger SR9c and I'm still not sure how I like the color ?
Do you know if Sig will sell a P320 X-5 X-change kit? I would love to switch my fcu between the classic to X-5.
That would be pretty cool
I want to know about the dr. Seuss oval at the bottom of the x5?
Am I the only one that wants to hit pause and power wash those storage shed doors?
21 round mags for the P320 classic???
ARE THE FIRE CONTROL UNITS INTERCHANGEABLE
Yes, they are.
