First single I ever bought .... Epic Records with an orange sleeve....in the hot drought Summer of 1976... Fantastic record.....I was fortunate to see Abba in concert at Wembley in November 1979..🎵🇸🇪 Thanks for the video
Hello again, what a joy to see react the ABBA insigne song: "Dancing Queen" These is ABBA, the iconic Swedish pop group, the best, most versatile and most important group of the 70s, in the post BEATLES decade (the revolutionary group of the 60s) ABBA, as in its time BEATLES, was a musical and cultural phenomenon, and its legacy lives on "Dancing Queen" (1976) is a beautiful song, which shines in the loftiness of its vocal harmonies And the music is bright and enveloping, from the initial chord it introduces you into the atmosphere of the disco and invites you to dance English public has voted it as one of the songs they want to hear the most, because of the feeling of joy and energy it gives them (another is "Don't stop me now" by Queen) ABBA recording between 1972/1982, have a wonderful series of more than 20 worldwide hits (and also 50 another great songs), included nine #1 in UK: Waterloo Mamma Mia Fernando Dancing Queen Knowing me knowing you The name of the game Take a chance on me The winner takes it all Super trouper And after more than 35 years ABBA return to studio in 2017 and recording a full new album "Voyage" between 2017/2021 released in November 2021 and is a worldwide succes I hope to more reactions My suggestion to next is "The name of the game" (1977) one of most complex ABBA songs GOD bless you my regards from Buenos Aires Argentina
Thanks for returning to the incomparable ABBA - not before time considering 11 of your 12 most popular videos are ABBA! Please consider reacting to 'I am the city' - a later track of theirs that is a favourite of mine and I think many other ABBA fans. It is one that is overlooked by almost all reactors.
@@Musical_Vault I'm 38 and have been a MASSIVE Abba fan since I was 9 and I only listened to I am the city for the first time last year. Put off listening to it for almost 30 years. I listened to it and fell in love from the very first beat. SYNTH POP/NEW WAVE ABBA.

Famous FOO FIGHTERS frontman David Grohl has uploaded a 2+ minutes video dancing alone all way through this pop masterpiece.Check this out. That's an honour from such a famous rocker.
If a person can't get a sense of pure joy when listening to this EPIC song, I think they are clinically dead. The official music video has had 662 Million views.
Well actually USA No1 hit but not their biggest seller at the time.Back in the '70s their most succesful single there in commercial terms was "Take a chance On me".Peaked at No3 but sold more copies than DQ.Neverthless the size of a succesful song is also a parametre of other things too.Such as how much will be remembered and what kind of "wave" would still cause after time has passed.Abba have been proved glorious survivors, since after 4 decades of hiatus, people still talk quite vividly about this "little pap groupie" that some narrow minded "music specialists" at the time, used to dismiss as "digestable", cheap, and forgetable, commerciaL crap. Many of which aren't even remembered now appart from their spitting poison on these 4 fab Swedes.I guess that was their only contribution to the whole story now that Abba is A class, and a "forever thing".
@@johnandrews3151 Up to now deffinitely yes..But it is widely reported that at the time TACOM sold more copies than DQ.Also their guest appearence to the Olivia Newton John special in May 1978("Abba month") had boosted both "ABBA- THE ALBUM" to sell more copies there(platinum) than ARRIVAL(gold)Of course all these concerning the USA market.Rest of the world though, was the other way round .But today DQ is surely the winner between these two classics.
@@christianoazzuro6711 Yes that's a fact. Some years back i read that also on an Agnetha Faltskog bio by Daniel Ward/The girl with golden hair, around 2017 i think.Although i knew this, there was also a reference to that period about "Take a chance on me" selling more vynil copies in America than their No1 single "Dancing Queen" in the 70s.But even so the 2nd one was bigger worldwide. And know what? Believe it or not,ABBA's biggest selling single ever is "Fernado"! 6 million copies sold at the time globally and over 10 million copies up to now!
Good choice. This song sounds like an upbeat number but it is actually quite dark; it reminds me of 'Reasons for Attendance' by Philip Larkin. The song might be about feeling excluded - the singer is NOT the dancing queen, young and sweet, only 17. She might be her older self looking back, or the ordinary girl in the corner overlooked by everyone. I agree with you about the way Abba draws you in and the music grips you. The music on this song is very strong, and if you get a chance listen to it with the vocals removed. There is just so much in there. Great reaction, thanks.
You can't go wrong with ABBA💕 Good on you guys for being eclectic in your reaction videos 😏😉 when you get the chance you should listen to "Move On" from their album "ABBA The Album" 💥👌🤗 Take Care Stay Stafe💥💕 💖🇬🇧😷

This was no1 the week of my 14th birthday Sept 76. I played it non stop - absolutely brilliant!
Abba have such a variety of songs to choose from. One of my personal favourites is The Piper, not well known by many people but I like it.
Abba's first single "People need Love".
Nice rock song "Hey, Hey Helen".

Dancing Queen was the biggest hit Abba had in the USA, hitting #1 on both the pop singles chart and the disco chart!
