I’m finishing painting my ‘91 Toyota extra cab just like that one next weekend and then I will be installing the rough country lift along with some 35s as well🤘🏼 great video, can’t wait to see that one with those 35s👍🏼
Do a different brand of lift...I had those shocks on my 15 when I bought it...started riding like crap......front strut start leaking and the rear shot the it off road cause they recommend the N3'S...what a joke!!! One way valve body shock!!!I went back to the stock bilstein with a spacer...dont want mine a monster truck...got a 85 for that ....then they wouldnt make it right and they could care less that I was happy or not and pretty much hung up on me...ROUGH COUNTRY IS GARBAGE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A DAMN JOKE !!!!! MASS PRODUCED GARBAGE!!!!!!!! Heres the sad part....they'd rather give away products for one damn video than make a customer happy that can make u or break you!!! Word of mouth travels the speed of light....I would put SKYJACKER on a Toyota or a kit that was made for them...RANCHO!!!!!!!! PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM THESE MASS PRODUCED KITS!!!! TOYOTA'S NEED A REBOUND SHOCK TO CATCH IT.....MINE WOULDNT STOP TEDDERING....2015 TRD OFF ROAD....BOUGHT IT LIKE THAT...ALL U PEOPLE WITH THE TRD'S....THE REAR SHOCK WILL TAKE A 2" BLOCKLIFT...NOT RECOMMENDED.....AXLE WRAP....IM GOING 5100'S WITH ADJUSTABLE STRUT AND DEAVER AAL.....
I used to have a 90 HiLux 4X4. I had the Rancho kit on it which actually re engineered the IFS. New A Arms, relocated the center section, steering arms, leaf packs, brackets, and urethane bushings. It made the truck better in every conceivable way. More compressible and extendable suspension. tighter and quicker steering, better overall response to terrain, and more stable at speed. It made the truck fun to hit things at speed. It wouldn't take 35s, 32s were the biggest tire I had on it, but it was lots of fun in the So Cal desert. for a bolt-on set up, it was really nice. I wish I still had it, it was a blast to drive. I never slowed down for anything.
Aussie locker in the rear. Helped mine immensely. I am breaking in the front gears right now but I have another Aussie locker for the front. Cheap easy traction until savings hits a sweet spot to air lock the front.
i welded .25" inch 2" wide angle iron from just above bottom camber bolt on the drop bracket and ran it up to the frame. also used same same iron in between lower a arm cross bars. really need this if you offroad
👍thank you very much for the gorgeous video You are the best. You did a great job. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I have the same truck, but not that nice. But I love it ❤️
I have the same lift on my 94. I'm running 35s and the front end cant flex all the way without rubbing so he'll probably need small ball joint spacers or he might be fine since it looks like his torsion bars are slightly cranked up.
I put a RC 3.5 lift on a 20 jl 2DR. It bottoms out on the bump stops with little effort or road hazard. My jeep had the rear seat removed 300lbs of camping gear in it. Stock springs claim to have a 1000 lbs load rating. The RC kit road so rough that on a mountain pass road listed at 3-5 hours we ended up dispersed camping. Worse yet the inferior Chinese fasteners that held the steering stabilizer (also RC), came lose and bound up the steering making it impossible to turn. My thoughts on RC is not only are they inexpensive they are cheap. I learned new saying in Colorado "buy once cry once". Meaning I will have to swap out the RC for an effective quality lift and suspension.

It's got a lot of weight up front. It's gonna look like a hot rod truck jacked up in the rear.
That’s awesome that you use the rough country I mean everybody says how crappy it is but I think it’s really good for the price if you’re looking to do what your buddy just didAnd I mean I don’t know if they have them yet for Toyotas old ones and new but I know they make really nice adjustable coil overs for offloading I bet if you called them they would probably could make you some if you’re willing to dish out the money . I say rough country is a great option if you’re doing what your friend is doing like I said but love the videos man can’t wait to see what’s next for your buddies toco
Hey I got an 1989 pickup with IFS and it came with 4-5 inch Rough Country lift installed (I’m guessing based on research) and it rides pretty bad. I lowered the torsion bars to help the ride and level it out and it does ride better but it has very little suspension travel now. Any suggestions?
Hey man I know this was posted a year ago, hoping you see this. Does your buddy Brian have the OEM cross member you guys cut out? I’m trying to re convert my drop bracket and put a nice icon 3” into it. If you do I would be so happy to buy it from you Edit: I have the exact same lift so hoping the cuts would match up
Please don't put the 35s on this, perfect useable tire for suspension droop. Knowledge is power bud, don't take the hard route learning the info you've just received. Just put some nice small round led auxiliary reverse lights under bumper, yellow fogs for rain, snow, fog. And refresh some of the old parts that are actually going to give you gratification... new weather stripping, new vacuum lines, body bushings, seats and carpet and have an upholsterer leather wrap the wheel. Keep it looking factory but unique. Good job man, huge Toyota fanatic myself
Absolutely it works! But it also needs to be completely ripped out! Can't wait to put a real axle in the front! Wish I had the money to come up there and have you guys do it I'd pay you a million dollars to do it!
Does this lift give you more room between the front diff and the oil pan. Asking cause I’m looking into 3rz swapping and this kit is only 200 bucks more than a custom oil pan.
Que TAL amigo es una pregunta dificil de responder porque depende en que estado la buscas. Aqui en Washington, están entre 5000 hasta 10000 USD. De acuerdo ala condicion y millas..
I just put in that same lift on my 93 Pickup last week, gave me ptsd watching this lmao
Does it work and drive well how’s the shake I’m thinking of putting it on mine!
Man. I love all the different rigs you feature on ypur channel!
I have a 1990 sr5 . That looks clean. Fenders flares would look nice on it also. Nice job!!👍🏼👍🏼

Awesome!! And thank you, I'll be sure to make a update when it has the 35s 👌

I have the same truck, but not that nice.
But I love it ❤️
No, I think everyone needs the solid axle swap. especially me. :D
The solid axle swap sure is nice! But not everyone needs it.
Nicely done! I’ll be back on 4 wheels soon, and head your way for some wheeling! Looking forward to it
Awesome! I am looking forward to it as-well!
nice video. Can crank those front torsion bars for extra clearance
Ball joint spacer lift ? New term I need to research. I’m in a IFS + IRS.
Options are like phantoms
My mom is giving me her 1990 toyota pick up I gotta do this when I get it
Yall ass crack cranks me up.🤣😭
Lmao 😂
I love Canadian rednecks.

@@xxdesturbedxx-4453 rough county 4.5 inch suspension lift

The used kit we installed in this video is still kicking! No issues at all!

Why have you guys not used bump stop extensions? Aren’t shocks going to just bottom out?

Im kinda intimidated it says here 5 inch lift when i ordered plus im install new leaf spring too with small tires
KO2’s bro
needs a snorkel. Just because I want one
I feel like your body to do a flatbed can we put a turbo in it do you really cool

Hey I'm thinking about doing the same lift on my 93, so did y'all use upper ball joint spacers or were those part of the kit?
I lake you transformed it my lake that.
We’re you are brothers?
did you chance the ring and pinion on the diff? if yes what did it use and what did you put on? thank you
Looks great but not a fan of drop brackets and blocks, I would rather cut shit then do drop stuff , just my opinion, does get it lifted
SAS over everything!
Yes, but cutting off your IFS is not for everyone. Drop brackets work fine for lots of people. Most of us are in the SAS club too 😂
Absolutely it works! But it also needs to be completely ripped out! Can't wait to put a real axle in the front! Wish I had the money to come up there and have you guys do it I'd pay you a million dollars to do it!
So how many inches is the lift I didn’t catch it
I want to put this lift on my 95 Toyota can you tell me where i can find that drop bracket lift kit.. thankyou 🤙🏼
We got ours used. But I'd check local 4x4 shops.
How much is something like that cost?
I think its about $1000 for that kit. Not sure though
Do you have a 1993 Toyota pick up for sale
Does this lift give you more room between the front diff and the oil pan. Asking cause I’m looking into 3rz swapping and this kit is only 200 bucks more than a custom oil pan.
Yes, this drops the front diff 4" ish
greetings: I have a 4runner and I want to mount a 4 "suspension and 33 tires. How hard should I install it in diferrencial?
buy a 3 inch body lift. easier and cheaper. and doesn't mess with suspension geometry. 33s will fit no problem
Put a winch on her, then she's a back woods rig.
For sale you pickup brot
Where did you get the new camber bolts from? mine are seized and need to be cut out.
Lordco
@@DirtGarage Thankyou!
Saludos amigo, cuanto me cuesta $ una trock 94 en tu país de esas mismas sin modificar
Your where almost there why didn’t you just keep cutting the ifs out and sas it no to much Moore work
As I mentioned in the video, Bryan does not want the SAS. It's not a wheeling project, just a hunting and fishing rig 👍
Do the driveshafts vibrate?
Nope!
What are the tire size in the end of the video? Look like 33
31s
Ah yes thx now i know what my truck gonna look like with 33 and the rc kit 👌
For sale
No?
Hey man I love your vids I got a couple questions about lifting my truck could you possibly message me ??
