Very cool video and excellent assembly job! I'll send you the "front holder" and also the laser. I am so happy to hear you like the Fenris. Looking forward to your outdoor shooting video!
👍👏👏👏👏
Wow Joerg I'm your big fan 👍🏻
Read this is Joergs voice
Lilly: "I'm not as strong as Joerg."
World: Nobody is! The man is built like a mountain, and has enough upper body muscle to make a big gorilla feel weak!
David MG if you did pick a fight with him he would show you his features and laugh at the same time
@@scorpion2nz Right!!!
practice I was a 100lb teen skin and bone , I started with a 25lb recurve , I moved to a 45-60 compound (daco blazer) I worked every offer day till I could draw it comfortably eventually I could use 60lb no trouble , I settled on 55lb and still use that bow today 2219aluminum work good
Dude had a broken drill bit embedded in his hand. His wife was like, "You need to go to the doctor and have that taken out." Joerg was like, "Ok, but first I need to film a video where I use that hand to cock a 230 pound crossbow that I just modified."
@@mattkelso2119 And he hung a magnet from it while the bit was still in his hand! That would hurt like hell and he just did it casually. The man is superhuman!
I love it when my favorite UA-cam channels cross-pollinate.
Yes 👍🏻
Hey this is a family channel....No pollinatin' here!
I'd ask you to rephrase, but you're a Sith.
Love your comment!
Agreed
Joerg's invention is definitely the best thing to happen in 2020
He invented the instant legolas in 2017...
@@Debbiebabe69 and yet it's still the best thing that happened in 2020
yes, you can build your own arrows, don't need a primer and more like with a gun! definitely best stfu weapon
All time I waited Lilly to say "Let me show its features" on Georgs voice.
Georg? lol
I think you mean Joerg
Joerg is so awesome! His laugh helped me through 2020. Lily is a perfect content creator for his inventions.
I like to think of him as some kind of chuckling goblin!
Wow! When a normally sized person uses this bow, it looks like a normal sized bow instead of a toy!
This is not a dig on Lily, just a comment about how Brobdignagian Jeorg is.

Thank you for taking us through the whole unboxing and setup, gives a great demonstration of what is needed to go from box to shooting for other people who get one.
The original "Instant Legolas' Joerg built out of wood was pretty impressive too!
Finally, my 2 favorite channels from western Europe have come together on archery! Lilly, I am so glad you had a chance to check out Joerg's instant legolas.
I waited whole time, that You would have said "Let me show You it's features" 👍
Good video 😎
Thank You and Bye Bye :))
8:55 - almost, almost.
@@tekknorat 😂
You did it all wrong! You didn't say BANG at least once while shooting!!!! And you didn't say LET ME SHOW YOU ITS FEATURES!!!
🤣🤣 exactly..
Exactly 🤣🤣🤣
In all fairness, though, "Bing!" instead of "Bang!" will do nicely. ;-)
Lol, actually you have a point there
i know that guy
it's not that you are weak, the thing is that Joerg is a mythical creature with inhuman strength. you did a great job for a mortal :-)
We're getting to see it features
Watching this is better than reading the manual!
I want one now.
If this was in medieval times, each archer would have two bows with an assistant reloading them. It would be incredible.
Or instead of an archer and an assistant with this, you could have two archers with regular bows.
@@BlunderMunchkin Medieval archers were highly trained professionals who required valuable equipment. Peasant boys were cheap.
@@richlee3777 Well, an English archer was highly trained, but more in the sense of "made to practise for a couple hours after church each sunday", which was much more than the usual peasant levy. Also, bows aren't hugely complicated to make, they are just sort of a lost art. Of course, if you had loads of spare peasants that could assist the archers, something like that would be possible. The question is whether or not said peasant would be more use in front of the archers, discouraging cavalry charges with a long and pointy stick.
They did use loading assistants for crossbows, so obviously yes that's what you would do (in the same circumstances, e.g. from a shielded position). And it would be much faster than using two archers. Much faster.
I got one coming...been looking for a review or anyone that has used one and gladly found this!!
Have you gotten it yet? If so how good is it because I'm seriously thinking of one.
I love Joerg. He's the guy you want planning your bachelor party.
"I'm not as strong as Jeorge."
-Hercules
Don't worry love, you are not the first to say that.
"Jeorge"? 😂
Jeorge?
Its the end of 2020, and were still getting instant legolas videos. Joerg, thank you.
it's still one of the coolest thing Joerg invented
He designs cool stuff
@xr7fan why not both
@xr7fan it’s certainly useful it turns an inexperienced archer into a competent if not expert quickly
And if you don’t think it’s cool then that’s your opinion to have but almost everyone disagrees with you
@xr7fan you were reading too fast friend, I said ALMOST everyone and if you look at the comments and like to dislike ratio of the slingshot channels video you will see that I am correct in this claim. Furthermore the claim that it will make you more accurate is also true as the trigger ensures a clean release of the bow string every time and the ability to mount an scope or just aiming down a sight will increase accuracy tremendously. I do not claim that no practice is required to use this device but a novice bowman would become far more effective while using it hence the name instant Legolas. Even if it did not make you more accurate shooting at a rate of one arrow every couple of seconds would more than make up for the lack of accuracy within a reasonable distance of the target.
Also it has just come to my attention that this can have a laser sight and if that doesn’t improve accuracy nothing will
Over the years I have watched the ferris get developed and I think it looks great. Great job previewing the bow.
Yah, the guy has so much fun creating these innovations. His luagh is contagious. Ideas genious. Good to see someone support him, as well as enjoying your personal experience. Thank you.✌️
I watch both channels. Im happy to see this.
I would love to see more of Lilly in the work shop. Looks like a wonderful set-up. I'm tool jealous!
Excellent presentation Lilly! I'm privileged to live about 24 kilometers from the legendary 'Matthews Archery' located in Sparta, WI. I have lived and worked in Germany for about 12 years and am a long distance rifle and handgun shooter. These recent episodes from You and Jeorg spark my desire for archery as a preferred hobby again! Many blessings! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Looks really easy to use and very accurate. Thanks for showing us Lilly. 👍😁
"ALMOST" a semi-auto! And by the way, you're not weak.... you are "Mighty Mouse".😌
not many horses are as strong as Joerg. man can uproot trees
Most human as not as strong as Joerg even when Joerg thinks he is "out of shape".
@@4Leka most Horses aren't as strong a Him lol
The man cocked a 200+ pounds crossbow-pistol-thing when he just had a 2 cm drill bit pulled out of his hand. And after that he just laughs. Priceless
Excellent video and review Lilly! Joerg is my hero! lol I've been following his channel for a long time. The man is an engineering genius. Keep up the great work on your videos. They are very informative and helpful.
Just started watching Lilly. Her work is so diverse....I'm hooked .Thanks Lilly.
Jorge, the man, the myth, the legend!
"Jorge"? No, he definitely is not a Spaniard. 😁
12:17 No, you do not want to have this bow in apocalypse. It is too heavy and if it breaks you won't be able to repair it. For apocalypse you want simplicity
Plus it's way to loud when you draw an arrow. It will definitely spook your game.
Just bring a vaccine.
I've seen jorges prototypes and seen tods workshop play with one . Glad to see such a beautiful end product, im a gun guy but I can see many bow lovers enjoying this.
Excellent , well impressed with the self loading and the the perfect presentation, thank you
OMG, this is so good, I want one... :) Thank You for this Lilly!
Video should be called: "How to convert a compound bow into a semi-automatic, upright, compound crossbow!"
Not a crossbow though. "Just" a magazine-fed pump-action compound bow. :)
Does it work with most bows?
thank you great collaboration with slingshots
I thought this was kind of a gimmick at first but having finally made time to watch Survivor Lilly's unboxing and assembly video and i am impressed with the build quality. This thing is awesome. I really like that its designed and made in Europe and not automatically given to someone else to build. The magazine sort of reminds me of the barrel guard on an MG42 BTW.
German government soon : “ILLEGAL”
Stop it
? she is from austria ? :D your allowed to own a bow/crossbow in germany but you shouldnt run around in public with it... hunting with them is illegal and will be punished by law if you get caught...
@@Max.Mustermann. You know you are wrong, when you read BJagdG §19- this outdated law from 1975 excludes fish, birds, wolf, fox,.. which are not classifyable as "Schalenwild und Seehunde".
At federal level a lot of countries in Germany allow bow hunting after dedicated training. (e.g. Brandenburg)
Only BaWü has strict rule via JWMG, which includes the birds and the bees,... via §31.
Noise emssion is one of the promotor to reduce the PPE for the hunter and the enviroment. Therefor silencer for hunting are becoming legal as well.
@JOSEF BORG all those laws make sense? Also Germany's laws are some of the least strict in the EU. I think one of the biggest reasons they are still strict despite that, is trying to prevent and limit terror attacks, which still sadly happen.
@@Des-q Poland seems to have figured out the solution to prevent terror attacks
Waiting for Lilly to say ... Let me show you it's FEATURES! Hahaha.
Joerg is an amazing person, I've been watching his channel for years. That whole setup looks very nice, super high quality. I already have the bow in my cart, but I'll have to wait on the magazine. $$ Thank you for the cool review!
Very good demonstration thank you.
Legolas lookin at this like finally the humans are evolving a bit 😂
Great review. Only miss the longer distance testing. You say it's accurate, but really you can't tell at 3 meters...
Es ist Dir anzusehen wieviel Freude Dir dieser Bogen macht. 🙂
i am a huge of Joerg, i love his channel, love his inventions. i had noticed your channel and started to follow you a while back, and i was really wondering when this video would happen, and it did and i am so happy, Thank you Survival Lilly
I miss this little holding device on the front to hold it with just one hand.
Those are extra add-ons, if i read it right Joerg is sending Lilly those too
let me show you its features! *laughs in German*
@@kennypool He just has a jolly German laugh lmao. I can hear it as I type this😂😂
"laughs in German" , this so it 😂😂😂
And Lilly smiles in Austrian 💕
On the latest version he added an elastic band to the magazine so that you have to put some force into it when you push it forward but then it helps you draw it when you pull it back.
There's also a little grip that attaches to the magazine so that you can hold the whole thing drawn with your bow hand which is pretty nifty.
The guy really is a great inventor.
2 of my favorite and longest UA-cam subscriptions come together.

Your german accent is so cute
Don‘t be rude. It is an Austrian accent ;-) I can tell, because I have a Bavarian accent :-D
Austrian accent!
Just the fenris magazine: $1,199.00
I’ll stick with my AR.
Same here
Especially in apocalypse.
Most people that buy a Fenris (in the US) already have several ARs already...

Theres places where firearms aren't an option so this would def be a good alternative regardless
Almost $20,000 (not typo) in my country to get a shotgun (complete with license) and you have to own a ranch/orchard/plantation to apply 🤣
That is awesome, I also seen where there is a company making a shotgun shell as a arrow point, the tech that is out now in days is mind-blowing
That is really cool and glad your enjoying it, now i gotta get one
18:43 she only like 4 feet away of course its going to be accurate
Nah... It seems more like 2 legs
Oh no! An assault bow! I must have one. No need to apologize for being a woman. You're still tougher than most men I know.
She is the Austian Lara Croft!!
She is more of a man then some men I know, 🤣🤣🤣 and prettier too, 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Shhh, don't call it an assault bow or it will get banned for being an "assault weapon".
@@4Leka banned or not it doesn't matter just don't comply with unconstitutional laws
@@kgkbuugj Ok so building a dirty bomb in your garage is okay because your constitutions says you have a right to "bear arms"?
This is really very interesting. I'm impressed by the ingenuity! Great that you showed all the deatils and it looks that you yourself really enjoyed this review.
Pleasantly surprised to see your video as a recommended vid.
Joerg is awesome btw & he must think a lot of you & your channel, so I'm definitely interested in watching & learning what I can from you also.
As you become used to that resistance, gradually increase it, so your strength will also. I enjoyed the video, thanks.
This and the Cobra Adder are a must in any collection
Joerg fan stopping by to watch your first reaction and shooting skills.
Absolutely amazing this is so cool love this channel
Hi Lilly.
There is a simple technique I learned in bow school to improve your strength when drawing:
Lift your elbow high above your ear when drawing. Try to really "overdo" it on purpose.
It sounds un-intuitive but trust me, once you "felt" it you probably won't go back.
I guess it has something to do with your muscle structure and that this is such an unnatural movement (which you normally never do) that your brain didn't know that your body can utilize it's muscles slightly more efficiently in that strange pose.
Ive been doin product development & my 2 cents for the next model would be to try & find a way for the magazine to rotate 90 degrees. Like some quivers are. For storage or while your hiking & then have a push button to slide & rotate it to your firing position. Awesome bow. Love the innovation.
I love how adjustable it is! Jorge really went out of his way to put out a great thing here.
"Jorge"? No, he definitely is not a Spaniard. 😁
@@tubekulose Huh... it took for months for someone to be pedantic enough to correct my mistake. LOL
@@JohnFleshman 😁👍
When moving limb bolts its a good idea to mark them with a paint pen with a line on the bolt and limb so you know their exact positions. What you called two turns looked to be closer to two and a quarter turns.
That big smile while shooting it!
Joerg is always a blast! He did not rest though, because there is a new version of the Fenris, it takes more bolts, and can be loaded via stripper clips, full load in one motion.
Actually, my bad, thats the Adder V2 (Crossbow) that takes 7 arrows, and can be loaded via stripper clips. Wishful thinking that this has been applied to the Fenris already. Heavy sigh!
Never have done archery but I can tell this is my kind of bow.
Good review. Thank you. Also, I watched Mr. Sling shot do a review on your survival knife. It made my buy one. Thank you again.
Lilly, you are just plain cool. I love your basement workshop.
It's very interesting to theoricraft how the Instant Legolas could've worked in a historical scenario and with medieval technology, but it really looks like a compound bow is where it shines
It probably won't replace the bow-mounted quiver in hunting, far from compact, but it seems to be lots of fun
So cool I want one now sure looks like a lot of fun
I love your demo Lily, I have a bad shoulder and having an adjustable pull like that is Wonderful! I just may buy that product for those reasons alone!
She loves it Joerg! Cool video Lily!
Great design joerge & great work as always Lilly ..all we need in an apocalypse is you Lilly 💯👍 Thumbs up from down Under 🇦🇺
Two really great UA-camrs combining. Top stuff 😎
Tod of tods workshop did some really cool videos trying to make a medieval version.
He didn't think it'd replace traditional bows but it could have very useful in certain situations definitely.
Like defensive situations particularly
Cool !! I don't shoot a bow very much but would like to try that sometime
Reminds me of that scene in The 13th Warrior;
Protagonist; "I cannot wield this! [ _referring to a heavy sword, he has been given_ ]

Now that is a piece of kit!! 👍
That is bad to the bone😎
