The owner is confused. The risers on the rear spoiler were on all 77 of the Group A Rallyes delivered to Australia as they were part of the original 2,500 run of homologation cars. Australian cars also had Group A Rallye badging on the rear right of the tailgate and numbered plaques at the base of the console in a similar manner as the early GR Yaris cars. They also had a water spray bar behind the front grill and a water reservoir and pump that could be hooked up to spray on the heat exchanger running to water to air intercooler, which I did on the car I owned back in 95. The Group A Rallye name was only used in Australia and the 3 cars that went to New Zealand. In Japan, the 94 year homologation cars were called WRC and after that just GT-Four. Standard GT-Fours in Japan had the low spoilers, but you could option them with the risers for the higher wing.

Something to add on: biggest give away of a serialized WRC homologation GT-Four would be the low profile front apron/ spoiler on the hood right infront of the windscreen.

@@K0Y0I_sisCorrect. I forgot that one. Also all of the Aussie delivered cars had leather throughout as standard and a kick arse for the time double din big screen head unit with a six stacker cd player in the boot.

They're also wrong about the hood venting. The center vent and smaller vents toward the windshield are designed to extract hot air from the engine bay. There is also a small circular scoop on the right hand side of the center vent that was placed for cooling the cam belt, though it's blocked off from the factory on the road cars. I'm pretty sure that's not a factory blow off valve either. It seems like this car is fairly modified to give it a more rally look and feel, and it sucks that they're claiming that it's fully factory.

The mudflaps, seats, harnesses hood pins, wheels and stickers aren't stock... The bit about the risers someone else already mentioned but come on the rally computer is not factory.
