I think the vlog style format is better, feels more real and more content is always good! I remember back in the day I think this model GT4 was not liked as much because it started to get a bit to heavy, but looks awesome!
Having briefly dabbled in making UA-cam videos myself (and never to the extent you have or with superior quality and perfected editing as you did/do) that thought did go through my head, thinking of the amount of effort and time it must've taken you to produce those cinematic and incredible videos, which are like candy to the eyes in terms of car reviews! But good on you mate for getting back to how you really wanna conduct this whole channel, and getting back to being more in align with what you wanna do, and not just what you think others may prefer or like. I commend you massively on being so super honest and true to yourself! Cant wait to see your channel as you move forward and always here to support like many others :)
It's even better off the pavement. The duel LDS really hit the spot. Appreciate the video. I'd like to see more on this car if it's ever available to you. Thanks man.
This thing is so beautiful! I have a 1986 Celica ST161 unfortunately it's fwd but it's super light and has good low end torque. The body kinda reminds of AE86, MR2, and FC. Its my moms car and I' trying to rebuild it but there's just so much money that it needs 🥲
Editing of yours is beyond beautiful. Like I am there. Not only that, the vehicles you have for this video are crazy clean. You don't alot of them but for you to drive them make it that special. Again like I am there. Keep it up.
Having owned a late spec one of these cars since 2005 - my comment maybe a little biased :-) It's the only car I've owned in the last 25 years that I will never willingly sell. Through all the stressful times in my life - I just jump in this car and all my troubles become a distance memory. It's the one I'll keep on the road at all costs.
such an underrated channel. This is my first video as i stumbled upon it looking at celicas (6gc owner) and it wont be my last. im very glad i came across this channel and I cant wait for you to blow up more than you have.
Keep it up man, always loved your past vids, but I definitely enjoy the vlog style. Nice and casual, raw sounds, very real. Won't mind the odd pull still
Without sounding negative, Clay has put the egg before the chicken so to speak. I'd be interested to know if any of the engineers who built the GT4's played a part in the building of the Yaris. Only then can you ask wheather the two compare. Otherwise, it could be argued that it benefits from modern engineering and car dynamics. I own a ST205 and yes, it's underpowered but you can tell straight away the chassis was built for rally. It's a car that wants to be driven fast on the dirt and shows it's true pedigree above 130kms/hr. At only 9.5lt/100kms, it's also an economical daily.....and the air-con...🥶🥶🥶
Looking forward to seeing more videos per week!👌 I know the time it takes to put these videos together! You have done really well so far clay👏 enjoy the content
Sup Clay! Been watching your channel for a while now and all I gotta say is to keep going man, this channel is awesome and love going back to some specific videos just for the cinematics. You got that vibrant and vivid way to describe cars as a genuine enthusiast…… its the vibe bro 😎🤙🏽
Da car is a real beauty 👌luv the Super Strut Suspension and its sophisticated 4WD system with 3 differentials 🙏The style is the most Sensual among all the Celica generations.
For anyone interested: these cars can be had in mainland europe and japan for under $15,000 USD. This gen is just now becoming legal in the US so expect a bit of a price bump but for the most part they are still one of the remaining jdm icons that hasnt skyrocketed
Personally these vlogs/reviews seem much more raw and a better format than the cinematics of your old reviews. Can wait to see what other cars are coming up on the channel! 👌
Mate ur doing a great job no matter how u decide to deliver it to us just keep doing it. It’s like an auto history lesson it’s awesome keep up the great work if u ever come to Sydney I will let u take my machine out for a review . 😎
Well done, what I like is that you are a true car nut as displayed by the variety of cars you showcase. As a true car nut as well I can say what ever format you upload your videos they will be fantastic as always and I will always be watching.
I don’t think this one was the WRC, one of 2500 or so made, there would normally be a spoiler on the top of the bonnet near the washers and it should have a water injection system for the exhaust manifold. I am lucky to own one and like you, love it to pieces. I have had mine for 16 years keeping it as standard as your reviewed vehicle but still with standard shocks and body kit. I have now taken it to spain to soak up the sun not the rain. Loved the review, keep up the great work
i have the exact same feeling with the fk8 compared to my dc2, fk8's a very capable car but quite numb compared to the dc2 and doesnt really leave a lasting impression on me
You said it has trd coilovers it has standard st205 top mounts so you must have got it mixed up with springs 😀 great cars im a owner & know the cars very well
Dude, it's a great clip and I love the car, there is still one thing that popped in my eyes several times, I don't know who did the subtitles but the car's name it's wrong, it's CELICA, not " SELEKA " !!! Also I would like to see a review with the Celica Gen7 the GTS model!
he uses the european (and canadian) pronunciation. Ive seen japanese pronunciations go both ways and obviously from your comment you know the US pronunciation
My brother had an ST205 at the same time I had a 2.5 twin turbo Toyota Soarer, We had a few drag races and he lost several times. It happens. To be honest his ST 205 wasn't that quick, It was ok cornering but not a super quick car.
At 6:55 you mentioned that TRD did some trickery to getting more boost is correct. However, I assume you did your research correctly, which would have revealed that, putting it bluntly; they cheated and got caught by the racing scrutineers at that time. This is the reason they were banned and there were some red faces at TRD and I do understand that you have to be diplomatic in what you say. All said, it took a lot of ingenuity and engineering on their part to come up with this trickery, which was painstakingly explained in several publications. I am a fan of WRC and have built scale models of WRC cars, which TRD collaborated with TAMIYA Model Company, which included the previous WRC Celica GT Four and subsequently the WRC Corolla but not this model, perhaps because of it notoriety? However, TAMIYA did make the street version of this car (which I have) but yet to build. I am pretty sure other teams may well have resorted to such measures back then, but were not caught. I do enjoy watching your video and do keep them coming. Thank you for indulging me.
The fact that you said it could be daily driven. I daily mine. So much fun to drive around.
i wanna see more of your own buildsssss
You got it man! Coming right up🔥

Just looked up on wiki my bad this gen is actually 90kg lighter than the first gen wow respect!
Thanks so much for the feedback and the support Ben!🙌
@@southaussiemotorsport7962 second gen was the one that everyone was after
I like this format better, feels real and not over produced, keep up the great reviews.
You certainly deserve a lot of credit for all the work you put in to keep your channel going for 2 years Clay your a legend. Cheers

Lucky enough to own a white ST205, completely stock. great weekend car
I like this type of video not over edited. You have to stay in love with your craft to keep up the quality.
Scotty Kilmer's dream car.
Scotty Kilmer thinks it costs 8000$ a yr to maintain a used Porsche
My dream car😅
That's the dream car hopefully by next year I'll have one of my own 🙏🏽
Same here mate, good luck! :D
A dream car. This car is not valued enough !
This car is like the predecessor to the GR Yaris. So cool!
Yes.. And GR Yaris won a gain wrc 2021 after 19 years in Kenya
dont compare . The GT4 won really ! .
GT4 will laugh at the GR!
Perfect car...wouldn't change a thing about it.
You do whatever makes you feel good, people will gravitate to it, just keep it authentic..... Keep up the good work !!!!

They are just stored away by older toyota enthusiasts.

How many of these are left?
Looks like Henley rd. Good rd for turns
Rate the Bathing Ape drip 💧
Love the camera work
Love your work Clay either way you go with your reviews they will always be entertaining. Cheers bro.
The GT four doesn’t have to “live up” to the cars you mentioned, it came first, from a different time.
Awesome videos, give it your best shot. Your videos are always fun and interesting.
Love me some 90s Toyota, I may be bias as I daily it's fat younger brother the caldina gtt
Great car the Caldina!

Can't agree with you more Mike! The perfect comparison when it comes to the legendary Type R Honda's.
I want to see a mini supra made out of a celica :)
It looks so mean🔥
Man i want one someday.
But have only seen two of them in Norway
Guys, does anyone know that Pioneer receiver model number? Looking one for my GT4
the rusted skrew clips in the front, takes all about 5 secounds to remove them or replace them
Dream car.
Great vid luv this car !!!

Thanks for the video, I subbed, dream car right there, I'm going away now to cry in a corner cause I'll never afford one hahaha

Awesome decision on the future of your channel 🙂
Hey we met that guy
Makes pigeon bank rd look flat 😳
more curious how you drove it without plates
you forget about the Caldina GT-Four came before the GR yaris
I love that car. It makes me sad that cars back than were something you were dreaming of having. New cars are boring ugly and huge.
Nice vid mate! BTW.. What size is that Bape jacket?
Try out a megane rs! Renault sport has gotta be some of the most underrated cars out there!
What car did he say was his favourite? The 86 what?
Vlogging & please do a quick look over(mod list) at the start or at the end of your drive!!!
In Australia its pronounced "Silly car"
Good stuff, from your neighbor NZ
Initial D references.
Love the new video, i have always wanted to look into the gt-4, having owned a liberty rs turbo, they always seemed like a comparable car.
this guy is handsome

Do what you feel is right, mate. The rest will take care of itself :)
The GR Yaris does not even approach this car's style level.
ST205 ftw , mine has around 800hp :)
Big bird lol
Holy! Are you located in Melbourne mate?😍
