Enjoy the Video? A huge shout out to Tom and the team from Daiwa for the insights. Many more to come. If its not obvious, the channel is trying some new things with the filming and Vlogging and blending with the edits. Let me know what you think!??!
Your enthusiasm is infectious @Byron! I’d like to see a more premium reel seat in the infest series. I know it’s a personal thing but I associate cork with high end rods, so a bit of bling like that would go down well!
The infeet series look really nice and seem great to use from the few times I’ve picked one up. Would love a rod over the 8 ft mark for fishing flats and fishing land based making it easier to get a much longer cast then a 7’4 rod. Another awesome video and great review byron.
Personally, for bream, I'm a land-based fisho and what i would like to see from Diawa in the infeet range is some shorter rods, these would be much easier for me to maneuver especially as i climb under jetties or boat sheds, or cast/drop down on ridiculous structure to get on top of the fish to drift my plastics, crabs or mussels down into the strike zone. I find this type of fishing much more exciting than boating as getting to the spot is just as much of a challenge as landing the fish is. the rods would be from about 5.10 to 6.2 to allow the lure to not hang too far from the structure. just my personal opinion though
Your enthusiasm is infectious Byron. Another great vid and enjoyed the cut aways to Slats - helps provide context between the review element and the designers intentions 👌 the Infeet range is pretty extensive to be fair, but for me a 7'3 / 7'4, 2-5kg, short butt, cork grips, faster taper, lower end power for pulling shell munching donkeys out of structure - and for the love of God a hook keeper above the reel seat. I don't ask for much. Hahaha.
Paul, I love what I do, but that is very nice of you to say. Tom is in the US at the moment smashing some bass at the world champs, keen to see how they go over there! thank you for sharing your thoughts!
Hehe got ya🤝 enjoyed this one a lot fella. Loved the cutaways and also cheeky tommy giving a bit of a say on the rods. Keen to see the other bits and bobs use filmed that day
Have to agree with most comments here regarding heavier rods and say that within the infeet range they could add a 2-5kg sub 6’8 rod, including a slightly longer butt section than a certain competitors. There’s only 4 Sk models, so possibly they may add to these?
Gday Byron I am a kid who absolutely loves fishing and I have fell in love with the Infeet range. I specifically love the 732 ULFS because blades and soft plastics are my favorite types of lures. I also find the grip of the 732 ULFS amazing. I also really like the new Infeet SK I think the grip is amazing because I find the Millerods type grip really amazing.I would be super happy if I won that rod I would either pair it with a the new Infeet reel or a Vanford. Great video mate see you in the next one.
I honestly would love a micro jigging rod from the infeet series. As I'm still under the age of 18, I only do landbased fishing and micro jigging really helped be to hook some fish up.
Hi Byron, Ioved the start, had me smiling and really keen for the rest of the clip, the moving camera, location changes etc worked well I thought 🙌. I'm really excited by the look of this rod, I throw a lot of light soft plastics, and while I've got some nice rods I still haven't found the one I'm really confident with. If I was after another infeet model, it'd be a 6'8 or 6'9 2-5 kg I could use as my kayak/bass/rack rod something with some meat down low, but supple enough to throw surface or plastics and small skirted jigs.. cheers mate, top stuff! 🤞🤞🤞
I will admit it took me about an hour to film the first 3 minutes. so many takes, but I am glad it was worth it. skirted jigs! interesting. Thanks Michael.
Yeah, my son's got me on skirted jigs for bass, he says it's essentially like fishing plastics for bream.... Slow and slower 🤪. I've found some 1/4 pounce ones I'm using in creeks...
Great review Byron ! Geez I’m going to have to get one of those 712LFS, looks mint for twitching jerk baits. I Love the 20 infeet range, like you I would love to see some specific shorter rods for kayak fishing in the range, something in that 6.6 or 6.8 length.
I know Daiwa just released baitcast Infeet rods, but it'd be awesome if they did a shorter version, around 6' - 6'6", short butt (for kayak fishos) with a lot of backbone to pull bass (and bream) out of snags. We need more BFS rods in Aus 😊
Hi Byron, my name is Sarina. I'm 15 and using my dad's account to enter your competition. I'm not an expert but I love fishing with dad on his boat and I'm keen to win this competition so I can have a better fishing rod than he does!
I enjoyed the video Byron! I noticed in one of your previous videos you did mention that you liked 712LFS. I trusted your opinion and bought it. It’s a fantastic rod. This is my first Daiwa rod and it won’t be the last. I’m really interested in the Infeet baitcast in the light tackle range.
Hey Byron bit late to the party every time I watch one of your videos I want to go by the takel shop I would like to see more rods like the the 732 ulfs because you said it’s universal as a young kid rods can get expensive so if you can get it all in one it save u a lot of money maybe a bit stiffer for flattys and brim thx Xavier
BTH i will go off the reservation here n say my fav is the new Battlers. especially the 2 SB rods, black jack in bc n topgun in spin. perfect for my fishing. top review as always mate.
I just want to say thanks for your videos. They helped me greatly choosing my new set up. I went with a diawa revelry fc in a standard 2500 with the new 22 Td zero 722ULXS. Absolutely loving it. Cheers. 👌
Love the video Byron, and i love love the infeet range. I bought the infeet 702 rod based on your review over a year ago and its been so much fun to use as an all rounder. I just picked up the 752 LFS model and 610 LFS(for the kayak) last week and cant wait to use them both. I'd love a few more varieties below 7 foot for kayak fishing. Looking forward to more videos from you with Daiwa gear as I love they way they brand and have developed the infeet range
It's great to see you evolve, adapt and enable the up and coming generation of fishos to be involved in your content Byron! I wish I had access to content like yours when I was growing up! I recently bought and absolutely love the Infeet Z 732 LFS, it is by far the BEST light rod I have ever used! I have only used it from my Hobie but can't wait to use it land based down through the NSW south coast estuaries. I know the pillow talk I am now going to have to have with the wife is, "babe the 712 LFS is even better than the 732 LFS, you know the satisfaction that has brought me, I am happy to clean the bathrooms for the next 6 months if I can put the 712 into my quiver!" What I also believe would be an absolute gold marketing decision by Daiwa (and other well known companies) is; offer customers subscription services that give them opportunties for product testing days and includes discounts on their products. Not only would it bring revenue to the company but create a whole new interest in fishing.
Love your enthusiasm about this rod and the review in general. Something that's on the list for sure. Great to hear it's good for beginners as well as experienced anglers. Wouldn't Know where to start with suggestions for rods, but would love one of these to help me understand how different rods have different end products with regards to lure action. Great job once again.
Great video Byron. I have learned so much from watching your videos they are always very informative. I would like to see a 7'9 plus ultra light rod in the infeet range for wading the flats.
I would love a 702 ultra light with a beefy lower portion for stopping power with a sensitive mid to tip for plastics. My issue is that my beloved rod is no longer made and the manufacturer is no longer importing into Australia. My now 8+ yr old Pflueger Patriarch XTR won’t last forever and I’ll miss that wonderful feel and strength that it offers. I’ve not found anything like it yet. Safe travels mate and I hope we see some US based vids once you’re settled in.
I’m a big rookie when it comes to lure fishing been looking at getting into it! I’ve only ever bait fished and squid jigged 👌🏿. Thanks for the in-depth review on these rods didn’t know people went that into depth for hard body lure fishing got some learning to do haha.
I bought the original 722ULRS and it’s super fun to use, the softer action has helped me land fish on light line. I’ve always thought they could use something for larger plastics in the range.
im going to be honest, i would like any of the rods as im currently “rodless”. ive fished with a rod i regret buying for about a 3 years being the shimano maikuro rod its really flimsy and broke on a fish. I truly do enjoy fishing and would like to make them most out of it when i do get the time to fish. I genuinely love this channel because it gives information about fishing products/gear that dont waste my money and it is quite rare to find a channel that gives good info about fishing for your bread and butter species, i truly do thankyou.
Thanks Byron, again great video. Crank rod and something to throw 10-15g lures. Also, they need to put the same lure clips above the reel seat rather than below.
Would like a longer model 710-8foot for chasing trout in lakes and stuff on the flats, really handy having a roof that can punch a really light trout lure out a mile
Hey Byron, I just turned 17 and I’ve been watching your videos for a while. I love fishing with my dad, catching fish on lures in Sydney Harbour. I’d like to enter your competition so I can have a rod that’s better than dad’s! An Infeet Z would be awesome!😊😊😊
Notwithstanding your enthusiasm for "the rod", I think I need that top water rod for Christmas. To add to the choir - an 8 footer would be my first pick. Although not to everyone's liking, I prefer minimalist and foamless set up - skeleton reel seat, and a hard material seat topper (I quite like the feel of AG's TiAlsensifore)
Great vid Byron I want to try get into light game for bass fishing and I think these rods would be fantastic for that. Thanks for showing them to us :)
I love my kayak fishing so I'd like to see some more options in the 6" to 6'6" range for casting in around tree's. Even when land based a shorter rod is good when walking along the bank finding little gaps in between the tree's. I love the honesty in your reviews, great video as always mate.
The infeet series of rods are excellent I have a couple in my arsenal the rod that interests me is the rod designed for blades as I do a lot of blade fishing.
An addition I would like to see would be a skinny water model, a shorter rod that would be good for small mangrove creeks and around marinas. Also a slower taper for a bit more muscle in structure.
I recon the infeet needs a light surf/ flats rod around the 8ft mark. Would suit people fishing for bass on the impoundments in QLD as well as flats for flathead bream ect. But also I’m my opinion would love a full black design for it. Keep up the good work Byron!!
Sick vid Byron, just wanna say that the Infeet range seems great but one thing I’d love to see is a slightly heavier rod for chasing bigger fish such as flathead, something that I wouldn’t have a problem throwing bigger lures like the double clutch 98mm or bigger plastics with heavier jig heads👍🏼
amazing video mate i think i might have to get one for my arsenal just wondering the reel to pair it with thinking a luvais, rev or sol any oppinion. also i want to see a very small almost stream rod to have for using in the mangroves small esterys and in and under boat docks peirs bridges probably around that 5,4 and more of a plastic cranka crab kind of rod for those 1/8 to about 1/20
Love the vid Byron, I don’t know much about the Infeet rods. I’m going to describe my favourite rod type and maybe it will match one of the Infeet’s out there, and if not then that is what I’d like to see in the future. I like my rod to have a subtle tip so that you can feel all the bites, I also like a solid backbone as I sometimes target the smaller Jewfish and it’s nice to have I bit of strength through the blank. As for length I’d say around the 7 foot mark maybe slightly shorter, and my desired handle would probably be EVA foam or cork. Cheers
In the SK range I would love to see a 2-5kg under 7ft with a light casting ability. I would use to put some hurt casting soft plastics for bream around structure and double it up to use for bass.
I really like the infeet series and currently have an base model infeet 6101lfs and Z 742ulrs on my yak at all times... I love the rods from 6fts 10 to about 7ft 4 but would love to see a longer model for landbased/yak shallow flats around the 8ft6 or longer... the distance you could get with that rod would cover so much ground and help on those days where the fish are heaps spooky presenting small lures to wary fish. Awesome vid mate and I'll definitely be adding a couple of those rods to my quiver for the yak 👌🏽🎣🐟
Hey Byron, great video. love the newer videos and can't wait for you to head to the states. I would love to see a little bit of a heavier model in the Z series even if it is just one model something like a 2-5 or 2-6 would be good for mangling the bigger fish like trevs and jacks out from under a pontoon, and around the 7-foot mark in length would be awesome. thanks
Id like a two piece rod with the 7’5” option. Currently have a smaller car so it makes it easier for transporting. Great detailed video! I am trying to get more into lure fishing as I want to explore the fishermen realm outside of live bait haha
Love the Z grips on infeets, old school sagake style. I am very keen to try that 712 model now. Great video. Great job Daiwa. Definitely giving the consumer what they are after.
The infeet series are amazing I feel as if they need a rod around the 7ft 8” size that is a little heavier cast wt for flicking slightly heavier lures in freshwater impoundments for yellow belly and Redfin I feel as if that would suit a whole mother class of anglers
Love it!!! The new infeet ranges are awesome. What I wish for the infeet range: R taper rod, mid joint (esp for travel) in 7ft or less (like 6ft6), non solid tip (like the infeet z) L and UL action. Another one is please bring back the TVS kind of reel seat from the older infeet model. I love the grip on that one.
Ok you have sold me on "the rod". Been keen to pick up a rod from the infeet range and you have really made it clear which model to get! Would like to see a kayak specific model for fishing tight, maybe just over 6 3.
@@ByronTeaHill to be fair they already got every rod I would use. It was either go longer or shorter...and they have the 7'8 and 7'5. To be honest the presso range would probably fill the need I have, being freshwater stream fishing off the yak and shore.
Thanks for the video mate I was actually having a look at the z series the other day I just couldn’t decide what to get specifically for brim and now I know exactly what to get or maybe even win one hahah but honestly cheers for that mate
Only late to the Infeet party but loving he models I have purchased. I would love to see a the short 6'4" fast action model in the Z series available in the base model. I do a heap of on foot creek fishing for bass and don't really like taking higher end products into that country due to the risk of breakages. Light tip and a brawler spine for pulling bass out of tight cover will do me just fine!
I would like to see a rod in the 199 dollar range thats 6'8ft or 6'6. Thats got a really fast action tip but a stiff back bone for ripping fish out of Jettys. great video again Byron keep up the awesome work hope fully your channel will be able grow so much more and give great advice to more people and kids around Australia. My parents bought a hobie mirage duo kayak that ive just started fishing out of and i think a shorter rod would be great for that. Cheers
I just recently bought the TD Black Wicked Weasel for it to be my new landbased bass rod. As a landbased fisho I needed a rod that can impart action into and cast the light lures, but could also handle a long cast with heavier lures such as football jigs or spinnerbaits, so in the future, if I commit to the step up in price, I would love to see an infeet with a landbased bass focus (a do all rod with some sensivity and some back bone, that casts a mile - which I understand is a difficult ask). I am also in the market for a rod to chase big flathead on where I would predominantly be casting 5 inch plastics on heavy jig heads, but the issue is I don't want a rod so stiff the hooks pull or I don't get to enjoy the fight.
I’ve got 1 infeet 2020 so far and the love the range, I agree the Z range grip is the best. A 7’6-8’ soft plastic rod for the land based fishos which are casting 1/6-1/8 jig heads would be amazing
Hi Byron I am looking at a 732 LFS X as a light a flattie rod. Would this rod handle flathead ok as I am not a bream fisherman. I have a couple of heavie setups for Flatties but wanted something lighter. Many thanks. Love your channel
Hey mate I actually bought one of the noodle rods the other week. It is extremely whippy might I say but makes perfect for unweighted plastics flicking land based around Sydney for bream in the city. I loved how I could shake the tip so lightly and wiggle lightly weighted risky up from pylons and other structure. Wish it would recover quicker tho but still a cracker rod in my opinion
Hey Joel! Yeah man, I'm really glad you came up and commented. totally 100% one persons experience may differ from anothers. Glad you have found a place for it.
Loving the review and price of “The Rod” especially for the price. Have been looking for an awesome all rounder especially for kayak fishing when you can’t take that many rods with you. I have a couple of the regular taper Infeet. I’ve also been working up north and would love to see 3-4 piece Infeet travel range so I don’t have to carry a separate rod tube.
I would love a 6.4 ft to 7 ft rod 2 peice I’m the smartest when it comes to all the rods and stuff but I love to just go land fishing or boat going for flathead or bream thanks
I don't use diawa rods but ik my brother got one and it was meant to be two peice but The split was at the handle do I think they should make the spilt in above the first runner like most rods for better transport
Ive been looking for a new stik for close to 6mths, from everything you can think of. Glad i come across this thanx bruz I am pretty particular in what i want or maybe im understanding the game better now. One thing ive certainly sussed is they have got their rods right most my gears paired up cross pollinated so I'll definitely be looking @ the 712 lfs.. Cheers for the guidance bruv appreciated 🙏🏽 Fluro ✌🏽
I’m really gonna be honest with you, I’ve never bought a rod over $300. The most expensive rod I own right now is a td black, which has seen everything from trevally, bream, flathead and a Jack. But recently I started thinking about saving up for a dedicated bream setup. But the infeet 712fls just looks like the perfect rod for bream and accidental bycatch. The more models I want to see in the infeet range are 7ft, that can cast heavier plastics and hard bodies (catching big flathead with style). Btw I loved the video.
Hey Byron, awesome vid once again. Your vid’s have always helped me with choosing a lot of my fishing setups. I reckon a 6ft 10 rod with SK grips in the Infeet Z series would be another awesome rod like the miller rods Twitch Freak, especially for a cheaper price. Once again, great vid Byron! (I am under the age of 18)
My only issue with the Infeet range are that they're mostly 2-butts, which to me are essentially a one piece and not great for transport! I've got the 762ULRS which is genuine 2 piece
i would love to see a longer 7'2-7'5 soft plastic rod with skeliton grip that doesent cost to much becuase im young i cant afford higher end $500 rods in the infeet range for land based fishos. loved the vid mate
I think the infeet models are awesome I had one of the cheaper ones but was a absolute noodle, I like a long rod which is why I think I have a lot of interest in them, but I think it would be cool for Daiwa to make a long but sensitive rod in the infeet range that is good for all lures weather that’s soft plastic, top water, divers and weightless frogs. Great video mate, love the content!
I'd love a couple of two-piece options in the infeet range, just to make transportation a bit easier. With such light rods I'd be scared to travel with them. Also, maybe something a bit heavier, in about that 2-6 kg range etc. I think it'd be sick to throw heavier plastics on such a crisp blank.
Gonna buy that rod now byron awesome video as always, there are so many good rods in the infeet range that it took a bit of thinking to find the missing rod, in my opinion they need to make a 2-4kg fast tapered rod for bass the ideal length would be 7ft but I would also like to see a 7ft 6in rod for small surface swimbaits and the ags guides would just make this rod feel incredible
Would like a 8ft6 2-5kg for throwing squid jigs or light metals or a 6ft-6ft4 1-3kg to use a stream basher for trout and reddys. Regardless any fishing gear in my possession is getting thrashed. Creeks, rivers, ponds, jettys, off the rocks and in the resis you name it😂
Love the vid and own a 702LRS which i love. Would be interesting to see a slighter heavier model in the 3-5 kg range maybe for big flatties etc. cheers
Hey mate I’m 13 I’d like to see a shorter rod for the crank baits like you said. I’d also like a long rod like 8ft for the flats so I can get long casts easier
id absolutely love a 7ft plus rod with a stronger back bone with a softer tip perfect for the all around soft plastics, top water and feet dropping lure e.x cranka crabs personally i would use the rod for rat kings in the harbour
Hi Byron, I got myself a 610LFS and I think that it has been fantastic around Sydney harbour, however it is a bit too flimsy at the tip to feel super connected to your lure, which leads to losing fish every now and then. I think they should make them a little more responsive at the tip as it is better to hook a fish and lose it than catch no fish. however by the sounds of it, this new 712LFS is ticking all these boxes as an all-around weapon. Also, I was wondering if you have got your hands on any of the new Daiwa jigheads yet and if you have any opinions on them relative to the TT jigheads. Cheers for the great videos!!!
Hey Grant, I'd say I feel the infeet range are delicate rods, so it doesnt surprise me your thoughts on the 610. Yes I have the jigheads, yes they will be compared to other brands, video is going to be around christmas though
Absolutely Killing it again with the videos mate, only started watching your videos a month or so ago but I’ve learnt so much as and angler mate, so keen to get me hands on an infeet, defiantly next rod On the list to get, I get so stoked everytime a new video comes out mate, cheers and keep killing it 👍🏻
Hi Byron I'd love a shorter rod just for the kayak. Been flicking flicking the Blue lip micro muscles at jettys recently and getting the goods with them lures also my favourite double clutch 48 is weedy suji. Goes off in Swan River over here in WA. Keep up the good work mate.
I'd love a shorter light or medium option cause I find it a bit easier to be accurate with the shorter length. Also easier to put in the car and go land-based fishing. I've heard that the infeet rods are very easy to break though which scares me a little given the $350+ pricetag. Your enthusiasm in this video definitely makes me keen to give them a go though! Legend mate, as always!
Great video mate. Sure going to miss the local content. I don't know that there isn't a rod for me already in the range. As a trout and bream guy they pretty much have my needs covered. Now I just have to get one.....new boat new rod right?
Hi Byron, Thanks for the review, I’m still trying to figure out what I like. I definitely like the look of the skeleton grips. Will have to try that rod out. Shame you don’t feel the same way about the ULFS as I was hoping to get a softer 1-3kg UL rod as my next stick compared with my current stiffer 1-4kg rod
Always learning Sean. Hey a review is subjective, you may like that rod. Go give it a try, I get some will even pick up the rod in this review I enjoy and not like it.
While it would sacrifice backbone, I would like a long 7'10 to 8'0 2 piece rod, mainly for fishing the flats. I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to specific use rods but I'm slowly learning thanks to your videos 👍 Cheers mate
Great video Byron, I would personally like to see some larger model Infeets in the range for those small Kingfish, Snapper etc. Something from that 3-6 and 4-8kg range would be ideal. Love your work 👍
Enjoy the Video? A huge shout out to Tom and the team from Daiwa for the insights. Many more to come. If its not obvious, the channel is trying some new things with the filming and Vlogging and blending with the edits. Let me know what you think!??!
I think the new style of videos are really good Byron 👍🏻
@@Kidndjwkx that’s really nice of you to say mate
Yea loving this new style.
Loved it mate.
Awesome once again, Great stuff Byron!!
what would you recommend instead of the 702ulfs for a 7 foot rod in 1-3 kilo rod for soft plastic
I am 17 and have just started fishing, I am using this really whippy rod and it would be amazing to get a rod like that. Thanks for the videos.
Your enthusiasm is infectious @Byron! I’d like to see a more premium reel seat in the infest series. I know it’s a personal thing but I associate cork with high end rods, so a bit of bling like that would go down well!
I love it! hard not to be enthusiastic Alf! bling bling
The infeet series look really nice and seem great to use from the few times I’ve picked one up. Would love a rod over the 8 ft mark for fishing flats and fishing land based making it easier to get a much longer cast then a 7’4 rod. Another awesome video and great review byron.
Awesome Idea Joel! Mate thanks for getting involved buddy
Hehe got ya🤝 enjoyed this one a lot fella. Loved the cutaways and also cheeky tommy giving a bit of a say on the rods. Keen to see the other bits and bobs use filmed that day
That day was amazing mate. we need to fish together at some point!
Have to agree with most comments here regarding heavier rods and say that within the infeet range they could add a 2-5kg sub 6’8 rod, including a slightly longer butt section than a certain competitors. There’s only 4 Sk models, so possibly they may add to these?
Thanks for including us younger folks, a cool feature that would be nice in the infeet range would be the skeleton grip, they look cool and slick.
My pleasure dude, thank you for watching
Gday Byron I am a kid who absolutely loves fishing and I have fell in love with the Infeet range. I specifically love the 732 ULFS because blades and soft plastics are my favorite types of lures. I also find the grip of the 732 ULFS amazing. Cheers mate you too
I honestly would love a micro jigging rod from the infeet series. As I'm still under the age of 18, I only do landbased fishing and micro jigging really helped be to hook some fish up.
nice Icesac

I want them I want them bad!

I did mention it a little while ago, maybe on a livestream...
I've got the baitcasters coming this week
Hey Byron bit late to the party every time I watch one of your videos I want to go by the takel shop I would like to see more rods like the the 732 ulfs because you said it’s universal as a young kid rods can get expensive so if you can get it all in one it save u a lot of money maybe a bit stiffer for flattys and brim thx Xavier

Since I’m a bank angler I would like a shorter rod for jerkbaits so the tip doesn’t touch the water. Great vid as always!
Good call!
BTH i will go off the reservation here n say my fav is the new Battlers. especially the 2 SB rods, black jack in bc n topgun in spin. perfect for my fishing. top review as always mate.
haven't tried them! wouldn't mind giving them a go though.
I just want to say thanks for your videos. They helped me greatly choosing my new set up. I went with a diawa revelry fc in a standard 2500 with the new 22 Td zero 722ULXS. Absolutely loving it. Cheers. 👌
Glad to help 25LQW. Hope I continue to help.
Ben that's great to hear! Always glad when someone gets a product they are happy with
It's great to see you evolve, adapt and enable the up and coming generation of fishos to be involved in your content Byron! I wish I had access to content like yours when I was growing up!
I recently bought and absolutely love the Infeet Z 732 LFS, it is by far the BEST light rod I have ever used! I have only used it from my Hobie but can't wait to use it land based down through the NSW south coast estuaries.
I know the pillow talk I am now going to have to have with the wife is, "babe the 712 LFS is even better than the 732 LFS, you know the satisfaction that has brought me, I am happy to clean the bathrooms for the next 6 months if I can put the 712 into my quiver!"
What I also believe would be an absolute gold marketing decision by Daiwa (and other well known companies) is; offer customers subscription services that give them opportunties for product testing days and includes discounts on their products. Not only would it bring revenue to the company but create a whole new interest in fishing.
Its a great adventure Dave. Another 732 lover!! no surprises there.
Testing days, now that is a innovating idea.
I love that idea
Love your enthusiasm about this rod and the review in general. Something that's on the list for sure. Great to hear it's good for beginners as well as experienced anglers. Wouldn't
Know where to start with suggestions for rods, but would love one of these to help me understand how different rods have different end products with regards to lure action.
Thanks Peter, I'll definitely be uploading when I get into the USA
I’m a big rookie when it comes to lure fishing been looking at getting into it! I’ve only ever bait fished and squid jigged 👌🏿.
Thanks for the in-depth review on these rods didn’t know people went that into depth for hard body lure fishing got some learning to do haha.
My pleasure Sam A, all for the anglers making smart decisions with their purchases.
@@ByronTeaHill I’ll be watching on from now on very informative 👌🏿
I bought the original 722ULRS and it’s super fun to use, the softer action has helped me land fish on light line. I’ve always thought they could use something for larger plastics in the range.
Nice Ewan, awesome to see you here mate
im going to be honest, i would like any of the rods as im currently “rodless”. ive fished with a rod i regret buying for about a 3 years being the shimano maikuro rod its really flimsy and broke on a fish. I truly do enjoy fishing and would like to make them most out of it when i do get the time to fish. I genuinely love this channel because it gives information about fishing products/gear that dont waste my money and it is quite rare to find a channel that gives good info about fishing for your bread and butter species, i truly do thankyou.
Nicc Tho those are really nice comments to make. Thank you, I'm really glad you are enjoying the channel
Thanks Byron, again great video. Crank rod and something to throw 10-15g lures. Also, they need to put the same lure clips above the reel seat rather than below.
Wow only Josh D asked the question...cool...He's our local waters UA-camr...
Would like a longer model 710-8foot for chasing trout in lakes and stuff on the flats, really handy having a roof that can punch a really light trout lure out a mile
Hey Pudgek9! That's a good idea, seems as though a few people want a really long rod
I think the infeet range would benefit from a few more shorter models as well as some more 2 and 3 piece travel rods.
travel rods! nice
Notwithstanding your enthusiasm for "the rod", I think I need that top water rod for Christmas. To add to the choir - an 8 footer would be my first pick. Although not to everyone's liking, I prefer minimalist and foamless set up - skeleton reel seat, and a hard material seat topper (I quite like the feel of AG's TiAlsensifore)
the topwater rod is a great rod you wont be dissapointed
Great vid Byron I want to try get into light game for bass fishing and I think these rods would be fantastic for that. Thanks for showing them to us :)
Love the Infeet range and your videos Byron. I would love to see it with a cork grip and something in the 8ft range for fishing of the banks
Noted!
I love my kayak fishing so I'd like to see some more options in the 6" to 6'6" range for casting in around tree's. Even when land based a shorter rod is good when walking along the bank finding little gaps in between the tree's.
I love the honesty in your reviews, great video as always mate.
Good call! See another one for shorter rods Daiwa!
The infeet series of rods are excellent I have a couple in my arsenal the rod that interests me is the rod designed for blades as I do a lot of blade fishing.
732ULFS worth a look Alan for blades
An addition I would like to see would be a skinny water model, a shorter rod that would be good for small mangrove creeks and around marinas. Also a slower taper for a bit more muscle in structure.
awesome Byron, thanks for sharing, more muscle is a good idea
I recon the infeet needs a light surf/ flats rod around the 8ft mark. Would suit people fishing for bass on the impoundments in QLD as well as flats for flathead bream ect. But also I’m my opinion would love a full black design for it. Keep up the good work Byron!!
Thanks Charlie I will. A few people have mentioned the surf idea now
Sick vid Byron, just wanna say that the Infeet range seems great but one thing I’d love to see is a slightly heavier rod for chasing bigger fish such as flathead, something that I wouldn’t have a problem throwing bigger lures like the double clutch 98mm or bigger plastics with heavier jig heads👍🏼
Noted!
amazing video mate i think i might have to get one for my arsenal just wondering the reel to pair it with thinking a luvais, rev or sol any oppinion. also i want to see a very small almost stream rod to have for using in the mangroves small esterys and in and under boat docks peirs bridges probably around that 5,4 and more of a plastic cranka crab kind of rod for those 1/8 to about 1/20
Nice of you to say scrubs. A small stream rod would be great
Love the vid Byron, I don’t know much about the Infeet rods.
Loving these review videos as usual. Really helps when getting gear. Thank you
Hey Stephen, glad to see you here. Good structure rod right there
I really like the infeet series and currently have an base model infeet 6101lfs and Z 742ulrs on my yak at all times...
Yea that 610 is great. Love mine.
@@JaymieJonesyeah they are great, I use mine for mainly structure stuff.... It is awesome for skipping plastics under trees or boats 👌🏽
610 is a bomb rod. I really love it. You will not be disappointed in the rod man. I absolutely love it.
Hey Byron, great video. love the newer videos and can't wait for you to head to the states. I would love to see a little bit of a heavier model in the Z series even if it is just one model something like a 2-5 or 2-6 would be good for mangling the bigger fish like trevs and jacks out from under a pontoon, and around the 7-foot mark in length would be awesome. thanks
Hamish, I think the States will be a lot of fun, your continued support is appreciated mate
Id like a two piece rod with the 7’5” option. Currently have a smaller car so it makes it easier for transporting. Great detailed video! I am trying to get more into lure fishing as I want to explore the fishermen realm outside of live bait haha
You're in!
Love the Z grips on infeets, old school sagake style. I am very keen to try that 712 model now. Great video. Great job Daiwa. Definitely giving the consumer what they are after.
They are mate, a few of the brands are doing exceptionally well at the moment. Thanks for interacting with the channel Kane!
The infeet series are amazing I feel as if they need a rod around the 7ft 8” size that is a little heavier cast wt for flicking slightly heavier lures in freshwater impoundments for yellow belly and Redfin I feel as if that would suit a whole mother class of anglers
Awesome idea Aaron
Awesome Andre! Good ideas!
Ok you have sold me on "the rod". Been keen to pick up a rod from the infeet range and you have really made it clear which model to get! Would like to see a kayak specific model for fishing tight, maybe just over 6 3.
63 - now thats a short rod. 712LFS, the bomb!
@@ByronTeaHill to be fair they already got every rod I would use. It was either go longer or shorter...and they have the 7'8 and 7'5. To be honest the presso range would probably fill the need I have, being freshwater stream fishing off the yak and shore.
Thanks for the video mate I was actually having a look at the z series the other day I just couldn’t decide what to get specifically for brim and now I know exactly what to get or maybe even win one hahah but honestly cheers for that mate
hahahaha now you do! funny how the world solves problems. I hope you enjoy it mate
awesome video byron, would like to see some rods with skeleton grips.
I would like to see what you would recommend for fresh water in tight spaces
Depends on what you are thrown and what you're throwing for Pedro288!
Have a look at the 64LFS, she is exactly what you're describing!! its a really nice rod
Cheers
Hi Tina, thanks for sharing. the mirage duo is a solid kayak mate.
Rogue, interesting thoughts mate. thanks for sharing
I’ve got 1 infeet 2020 so far and the love the range, I agree the Z range grip is the best. A 7’6-8’ soft plastic rod for the land based fishos which are casting 1/6-1/8 jig heads would be amazing
Thanks Alastair
I’ve also been working up north and would love to see 3-4 piece Infeet travel range so I don’t have to carry a separate rod tube.
ahh thats not a bad idea hey! thanks Eric
I would love a 6.4 ft to 7 ft rod 2 peice I’m the smartest when it comes to all the rods and stuff but I love to just go land fishing or boat going for flathead or bream thanks
Thanks Nate!
i would love to see daiwa bring a 2-5kg infeet rod out for school jewy in the river, and around that 7'3 or 7,5 would be a great rod
Awesome Kade
Thanks mate been looking at these lately good to know which was to go
I don't use diawa rods but ik my brother got one and it was meant to be two peice but The split was at the handle do I think they should make the spilt in above the first runner like most rods for better transport
Thanks for sharing Timtams, the reason they go above the handle is because a join mid rod affects the shape / action of the rod
I would love a longer rod then the 7’8 z infeet with the new skeleton grip for the flats to throw some bigger slippery dogs
Noted buddy! great to see you back
Fantastic channel (I’m new) watched loads of you vids already! What reel would you pair with “the rod”
The best reel you can buy of a 2000 or 2500 size
Ive been looking for a new stik for close to 6mths, from everything you can think of. Glad i come across this thanx bruz I am pretty particular in what i want or maybe im understanding the game better now. One thing ive certainly sussed is they have got their rods right most my gears paired up cross pollinated so I'll definitely be looking @ the 712 lfs.. Cheers for the guidance bruv appreciated 🙏🏽
Fluro ✌🏽
Great video Byron. Have you had the opportunity to try the yamaga blanks blue current range at all? Curious to get your thoughts if you have
Not yet!
Thanks Jack, appreciate the insight mate. bream gear can get super expensive super quick
Hi, emeraldas mx 86mh.n vs 86mh.e, do you know what is the difference?? Thanks
I would like a shorter top water specific rod in the 6ft8 range for target fishing. Skeleton grips always!!!
New range of Skeleton grips are coming out, you're going to get what you want!
Hi, what’s your opinion on the Daiwa Infeet Z 732LFS? I need a rod for longer casts, as I am fishing from the land.
Great video. An SK version of this rod with a couple more runner's up top would be awesome.
For sure!
(I am under the age of 18)
Thanks Jeremiah I really appreciate you in here mate. Logged and good luck
hey mate i would love to see an all rounder 7 foot rod
awesome Carter
My only issue with the Infeet range are that they're mostly 2-butts, which to me are essentially a one piece and not great for transport! I've got the 762ULRS which is genuine 2 piece
I hear you. I probably sit on the other side of the fence. I dont want my split in the middle of the blank. It affects the rod action.
i would love to see a longer 7'2-7'5 soft plastic rod with skeliton grip that doesent cost to much becuase im young i cant afford higher end $500 rods in the infeet range for land based fishos. loved the vid mate
Thanks Nolan, lots of people saying longer rods. Thank you
I think the infeet models are awesome I had one of the cheaper ones but was a absolute noodle, I like a long rod which is why I think I have a lot of interest in them, but I think it would be cool for Daiwa to make a long but sensitive rod in the infeet range that is good for all lures weather that’s soft plastic, top water, divers and weightless frogs.
Great video mate, love the content!
Thanks for sharing Toby. Lots of people wanting that long rod too
I'd love a couple of two-piece options in the infeet range, just to make transportation a bit easier. With such light rods I'd be scared to travel with them. Also, maybe something a bit heavier, in about that 2-6 kg range etc. I think it'd be sick to throw heavier plastics on such a crisp blank.
Nice Barrett, a few nice rods that are easy to travel would be good
Gonna buy that rod now byron awesome video as always, there are so many good rods in the infeet range that it took a bit of thinking to find the missing rod, in my opinion they need to make a 2-4kg fast tapered rod for bass the ideal length would be 7ft but I would also like to see a 7ft 6in rod for small surface swimbaits and the ags guides would just make this rod feel incredible
look often I'll avoid the straight up, this is good, go buy this. very cautious about it.. in this case... go buy it
Would like a 8ft6 2-5kg for throwing squid jigs or light metals or a 6ft-6ft4 1-3kg to use a stream basher for trout and reddys. Regardless any fishing gear in my possession is getting thrashed. Creeks, rivers, ponds, jettys, off the rocks and in the resis you name it😂
cool idea xvtch13!
Love the vid and own a 702LRS which i love. Would be interesting to see a slighter heavier model in the 3-5 kg range maybe for big flatties etc. cheers
Good idea!
Hey mate I’m 13 I’d like to see a shorter rod for the crank baits like you said. I’d also like a long rod like 8ft for the flats so I can get long casts easier
Thanks for contributing Tom and good luck buddy. Tight lines mate
id absolutely love a 7ft plus rod with a stronger back bone with a softer tip perfect for the all around soft plastics, top water and feet dropping lure e.x cranka crabs personally i would use the rod for rat kings in the harbour
Thanks for sharing Ben
Another great vid mate, a deep crank rod using straight through flouro would be a good addition. Cheers old fella ( PS. Im over 18…just)
Pfffff 18x4 maybe, hahahaha. we need to chat
Absolutely Killing it again with the videos mate, only started watching your videos a month or so ago but I’ve learnt so much as and angler mate, so keen to get me hands on an infeet, defiantly next rod On the list to get, I get so stoked everytime a new video comes out mate, cheers and keep killing it 👍🏻
Shorter Stockier infeet for tight snags would be sick
Seconded!
Definitely would love to see a muss rod or something like a brawler added to the range.
Good idea Connor
Hi Byron
I'd love a shorter rod just for the kayak.
Been flicking flicking the Blue lip micro muscles at jettys recently and getting the goods with them lures also my favourite double clutch 48 is weedy suji.
Goes off in Swan River over here in WA.
Keep up the good work mate.
Thanks Michael, weedy suji is a great lure hey good clour profile
So interesting and love the honesty of all the rods in the range. I would like to see a slightly heavier rod to fit a flathead/inshore rod.
Thanks Quickfish. Seems a few people like the idea of an inshore rod
Thanks legend. Go for the cheaper infeet range if you're worried about it that way it doesnt hurt as much. shorter light would be nice
@@ByronTeaHill Maybe I'll just hold out for a free one ;) haha
Keen to see some more with a bit more backbone but still keep that sensitive tip, great video 🤙
Noted!
Great video mate. Sure going to miss the local content. I don't know that there isn't a rod for me already in the range. As a trout and bream guy they pretty much have my needs covered. Now I just have to get one.....new boat new rod right?
I would love to see more of a skeleton grip rod with ags guides that would be so sick
Noted!
Hi Byron,
Thanks for the review, I’m still trying to figure out what I like.
I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to specific use rods but I'm slowly learning thanks to your videos 👍
Cheers mate
Right on, youre not the only one saying a long long rod
Great video Byron, I would personally like to see some larger model Infeets in the range for those small Kingfish, Snapper etc. Something from that 3-6 and 4-8kg range would be ideal. Love your work 👍
Thanks Zac, that would be interesting to see
