Haven't entered an ABT yet but am keen to pop the cherry one day. And how can you go past Mallacoota to tick off what will hopefully be the first of many ABT's as a non-boater.

@@ByronTeaHill yer mate I have watched them all. Your channel is the one of the best I can find and it's the only one I'm willing to support. Your production is top notch and show great class. Cheers for always putting in 110%
Do you think it will ever get to a Comp requiring netting or safe landing of fish? They kind of slam into everything in the boat, not a great look for the sport unfortunately. I’d be fishing the Mallacoota rounds as a non boater if I was to win, and net my boaters fish lol
The truth is a lot of damage occurs to the fish using a net. If you look at a lot of photos of big bream, you will often see split fins and damage from the net. I hear you though, would have been better if I’d caught the fish :)
@@ByronTeaHill yeah I do the same, I'm worried being the pinnacle of the sport anyone who dislikes fishing can easily say they are being mistreated. It's not just your fish I watched a lot of the abt highlights and they smacked into the deck and crashed around a bit, it just looks like we don't care about the fish to the wider population where nothing could be further from the truth.
Great video Byron. As always very informative. Would be great to learn as a non boater at either Derwent or St Helens rounds. Are you entering the Hobie rounds in Tassie?

Sounds great Jack. You should definitely get your entry in
@@ByronTeaHill Already have ! And for for the Derwent too !! Would love to do all of the comps this year but work will restrict me unfortunately!
I’ll see you there hopefully if I get in for Gippsland , do you know of anyone who would be happy to have me on their boat for a pre fish for Gippsland ?
Love to win the nonny spot at the Hawksbury round !!!
Great vid as well mate love it keep them coming
In Chris! Thanks buddy, I’m going to see what we can do for the 2022 season
@@ByronTeaHill if u ever want a buddy on lake Mac when u are around these parts mate sing out !!!
@@chrisrawlings898 will do Chris, thanks mate
L great work guys keep it up and try not to get spiked while holding the fish between the legs !! Would love to fish as a boater at tweed or Gladstone (to be honest I’d go anywhere) cheers guys !
Cheers legend!
Nice vid mate 🤙🏽
Thanks legend
Haven't entered an ABT yet but am keen to pop the cherry one day. And how can you go past Mallacoota to tick off what will hopefully be the first of many ABT's as a non-boater.
100% should be a good one to enter as a nonny also
great video, would love to be a non-boater in the Hawkesbury River round!!
Thanks Finn!
Haven't done any bream tournaments yet but keen to jump on a boat as a non - boater. It would have to be mallacoota for me.
Coota would be a great place to start imo! Nice Deklen
@@ByronTeaHill yeah been fishing there but not from a boat so could be interesting haha
Great job Byron!
Shame your fish died on day one!
If I won your competition I would like to take a non boater position at either Metung, Blue Rock or Glennmaggie.
Keep up the good work!
It happens legend all good! Catch up when I get back?
Hey bud another great video.
I would love to enter one day as a non boater in round 8.
I only own a kayak but always have fun on my mates boat.
dude cheers for that! I'm glad to see you've been watching a few of the vids now
@@ByronTeaHill yer mate I have watched them all.
Fantastic video excellent production. I’d be really happy as a non-boater in Mallacoota.
Cheers Peter, Pumped you liked it mate.
Great video Byron. As always very informative. Would be great to learn as a non boater at either Derwent or St Helens rounds.
Are you entering the Hobie rounds in Tassie?
Sure am, it will be a month straight of fishing. Thanks Collin!
@@ByronTeaHill awesome. I'll be entering the 2 hobie rounds in Tassie. Looking forward to it. As the only other comp I've been involved in is the Yak Hunters.
Was thinking of trying to get myself into one this year, did a couple of small comps last year and they were rad. Would probably be non boater, gonna have to win a boat to become a boater haha
Haha yup need a boat. You should enter the giveaway bud.
@@ByronTeaHill do kayaks count as boats in comp?
@@christopherbinns7571 nope!!!
Hi Byron I would love to fish the Hawsbury round as a Non boater I have fished Forster & Ballina in 2021 as a Non boater and definitely struggled at the back of the boat one more crack at it would be awesome thanks Glenn
My pleasure Glenn, thanks for the patronage. Some of those venues can be a little tricky from the back
