thats quite smart. It nicely hits the niche of ppl who likes lowrider culture but ain't quite dedicated to invest in a legit lowrider vehicle. Never really seen any official rc that's out of the box like this.
When I was a kid I learned how to make these out of model cars with coat hangars as the chassis and suspension, electric motors and dental floss. Very few might know what I'm talking about
Redcat, often put down or laughed at by traxxas owners ...yet look at all the models that they have had that none of the big boys would have done. 15 years ago, rtr 4 wheel steer crawlers, 1/8 scale and then 1/5 scale crawler...1/5 scale electric, that 3 wheeled trike...the low rider, redcat has brought stuff to market that other companies haven't tried or before other companies did.
this setup would be perfect for that Arduino kit that replicates pitch and roll so the car wobbles and rocks as you turn and stop etc. once cool lookin RC car

I will def be purchasing one of these soon. When I was a kid they made a wired hopper like this but it wasn't full function all it did was hop. But sitting in front of my house playing with it was a fond memory of mine
That’s one awesome lowrider great Quality thanks for a bit more inside to what it can do and what inside as can’t see much about them online great video 🤘🏼
@@TomleyRC You are having a blast I am sure, don't mean to pry, the right front servo is out of sync related to the front. I just realized that Lowrider could make a really good crawler. Just put on some bigger suspension and tires and boom. We got a crawler they can crawl over anything.😂😃

I'd be willing to bet, if Redcat came out with a clear body for it, you'd see a ton awesome art work come out!
theres a Buick Grand National clear body on aplastics-rc, it should work as its 1/10 as well
@@Semtex199 I've seen that. It's at my LHS.

Dont forget a 1/10 sct and alot of the drag cars have a 1/8 wheelbase. Redcat does have a rolling chassis kit though
They do it’s on their website
Came for the lowrider, stayed for the bouncing seals
Hahahaha
I just came on my hand
this would have blew my mind when i was a kid in the 90's. I was building them with small motors and fishing line in plastic models.
Nice!
me too and they sucked or i sucked at building them
Full-size "hoppers" generally have the back on full lock-up to hop the front end.
Yes, next job is to get it a little more controlled for a ‘full hop’

Well that worked out well! Awesome!

I use one of those 32kg JX servo in my EX07 for steering. Loads more responsive.
Yes they are decent
Start at 5:03
Question is: with all that clearance.... how good is it OFF-ROAD?!?
Hello from V&b speed a new rc community channel stop in say hi thank u ✌️
It’s shitty
Not meant for off road
Lmao... someone remembered a roadkill episode hahahaha
Nice I like how it performs with em servos !!! The 300 Reef’s servos are krazy they make the car go way to krazy!!!
cool, reminds me of Ramone from Disney cars
It's funny people from England enjoying low riders.
😅

You can get low profile servos which weigh a 1/4 less, for more bounce. cool

I bet the stock BEC is dipping voltage driving those servos get something like a castle BEC in there.
Yes, external one and it’ll probably jump better. That’s the next job… plus some better suspension

The only downside with the hopping is that the body is flexing just a little bit on the sides. Perhaps there is a way to brace it so it is more rigid?
Yeah, a bit of Velcro down the sides may help
next video, make it brushless?
THIS IS SOOO DOPEEEE
Pretty fantastic work, Tomley!!! 😂
It's much better now! It's fun as hell! 😂
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Cheers dude… it’s funny at normal speed haha
03:20 so much fun 😅😅😂😂
Those seals 🤣🤣
Can you bunnyhop up to a book or something while drive?
That’s a challenge I will be doing 👌
Reminds me of the corded hoppers long time ago, we used to put 9v to em and they would hop 2 times as high as these do lol
Damn those where the days
I just realized that Lowrider could make a really good crawler. Just put on some bigger suspension and tires and boom. We got a crawler they can crawl over anything.😂😃
Some preload spacers on those springs may help give a bit more bounce.
Yes I think they would
Freakishly wonderful!
got my seal of approval (arf arf)
also: smaller/lighter motor?
Hahaha
Great video!👏👏👏👏👏Question, why do you need to adjust the endpoints? Do you have to?
We’re did u buy them I just got ttoday my 79; Monte carlos and I notice the front doesn’t hopped like how u have it
Hey man I was wondering to what you adjusted your endpoints for the servos

I just got my green one in yesterday right before you posted this video an all I could think was “Come on HOP one time”
Your front coil overs were did you get them I have some but they are longer then the original so it sits high
I think the weight might actually be helping the rear get altitude maybe try more mass at the front for a test?
Dropping it like it’s hot.
Did anyone else just have Still Dre playing in the heads when watching this?

I’ve actually got one of these myself. Haven’t had it up and running yet I have to admit.
Reminds me of that mini game in GTA: San Andreas haha
Haha, yeah 👌
52nd and that's a pretty interesting RC car!
Now take it to a lowrider contest..... LoL 😂

Nice ride, love the jevries line! Would this servo be good for 8th scale vehicle like the kraton? Of not what would you recommend? Thnx! 🤘🏾✌🏾
So much more realistic at that speed.👍nice work.make it into a drifter aswell that would be crazy drifting and jumping at same time lol
Yes, slow mo is the only real way to make it look like a real one. Maybe I need a brushless set up 👌

Agree
What battery are you running on it? The one that came in mine is bigger
Where can I purchase this RC 🥺

Epic 😂love it
tomalley I recommend to make the rear up first then hop the front to make it higher, I don't know if the servos would allow it
I still want a green one, lol👌😅😷👍
You should build a crawler that has that capability with that reciever and controller!
The new servo’s are way faster but is it just me or did it lose some travel ? Either way I love the low rider
I’d not set the end points, so the front wasn’t going all the way up 👍
