A Miata may not be a conventional lowrider platform, but as someone who grew up in a part of the Central Coast which has a huge scene, this brings back a lot of memories of the 90s when you would see Japanese compacts done up in this style. Keep in mind cruising was a thing up until the mid to late 90s in a lot of California towns and by that era you would see Civics, Accords, Suzuki Samurias and Nissan Hardbodies done up in that style. Most cars used weren't even european... Wire wheels and / or white wall tires just look out of place on a car from the 80s and younger… Plus, those cars aren’t even low and their wheels are poking out of the wheel arches. Looks weird! It's like the son of a Lowrider OG took his dads wire wheels that he had on his Impala or Riviera back in the 70s and decided to put them on his late 80s - early 90s car to be part of the lowrider scene as well... Thankfully some people in the scene kept it "modern" and period correct to the 90s and put 16, 17 or even 18" chrome wheels from that time period! That's where the term "New Age Lowrider" actually came into play! Looks much better to be honest.

If you start with the basics and just understand all the "up" switch does is turn the pump on, and the only "real" control you have is making the car go up, it becomes super easy to understand. The "down" switch just opens a dump to allow the fluid back into the reservoir and the weight of the car makes it go back down.

Id love to see them actually do cleaning stunts like that. Take a dirty gross car, come in at night and do an amazing cleaning job and film the reaction. They could leave a years worth of Mother's products behind.
I like these vids. I could take or leave the fake "infiltrator" bit but it's cool to just see the different car cultures. One of my favorite parts of car culture is how welcoming people are and these vids are great at showing that.
Why are people saying donut is done for when only the host left? Like majority of its staff is still there behind the scenes. So much more goes into these videos than just what we see and what we see are the host.
The old hosts - James, Jobe, Jerry - were the "faces" of donut and it feels different with them gone. Also, the hosts used to have much more creative control over the videos, but after donut was bought out, they slowly had their creative control phased out and essentially just became actors with a script rather than car guys talking about (and working on) cars. People noticed, especially when all the old hosts left and started their own channels and talked about the above.

Not only did i never think id see a lowrider miata, I never thought i'd love it.
This is going to be a great time for automotive youtube. Donut getting back on track with faces we've wanted to see more of. The BigTime boys are free to do what they want. And James is, uh, Im not sure, to be honest, but im still excited.
YES full build, but in a how-to series.
Its great that we didnt lose anything, but gained more content. And, they all get to keep bigger pieces of their own pies. Crossovers can happen, and there will be more money getting tossed around, the future looks great.
Yes we would like to see a full hydraulic build...
That “saca la bolsita” from Steph and Sandro has me dead ☠️ 😂
Loving the Agent Jimmy with Nolan as corn-fed Joe Pantoliano vibe, and Steph is a great addition!
This is what we like to see Donut team! Keep up the good work and we’ll all be here for you!
This was top shelf stuff. Excellent work by everyone involved! Hell when Sandro revealed those wheels I about fell out of my chair.
This video showed exactly what i thought it would. Lowrider communitys are filled witj some of the best people. When i was into hondas and brought my cars to car shows the import side was filled with the most toxic mfers but the lowrider crews inused to hang out with morenwhen i was there because like in the video they judge you by you passion for what you built and they are literally the kindest and coolest people
"You're more of a natural than Jimmy"
2sec later:
EDITOR: 18:07 "* FIXING NOISES *" lol 😂
Thisss fooo 😂
omg i was about to type the same thing, shit had me rollin 🤣🤣
Damn i love this kind of series, it's really good to watch
Wow this is exactly what I want from DONUT. Real original content. I'm not a Lowrider guy but I loved it.
I am so impressed by this build especially considering how much of it was done in anything but a shop.
4:27 That face Nolan’s doing is crazy hahaha that make my day foreal😂
Of course we want a build video, but what we NEED is Bob's reaction to this!
That mother’s ad was funny as hell.
Did you get that too? I was super confused why my ad break was still Donut lmao.
Id love to see them actually do cleaning stunts like that.
Take a dirty gross car, come in at night and do an amazing cleaning job and film the reaction.
They could leave a years worth of Mother's products behind.
Yo this was incredible. Cant wait to see more of this series. Super interesting. Agent Jimmy is one smooth operator.
@@backwoodstherapyCorrect!
Should have let Sandro cholo Jimmy up. The higher the socks, the downer the fool
6:46 there it is. The magic word.
Please make a full build on hydraulics PLEASEEE!!!
why is the top 🔝 up because brunch is a combination of high noon and is typically leftover for high tide
