It is. I remember as a kid I used to see Roadway tractors like this one and Ford Louisville 8000's with 6V-53's in them. All had stacks on them. 6V-53's were quite omnipresent back in the 1970's and early '80's.
@ClassicTVMan1981X oh im sure there were alot of mixing and matching. i swear i saw that video of a old retired fire engine with a inline 2 stroke.. that must have been the 6-71.. OH! so the lack of the "V" in the name would signify the inline configuration and not the V set up.. i got it now
@SeagraveRules correct me if im wrong.. the 6V53.. were V6 engines.. and didnt the seagrave use a inline? i could have sworn i watched one on here that had a detroid inline 2 stroke. or the american le france.. i forget what one.

Both the 6-71 and 6V53 could be found in Seagraves, along with the 8V53, 8V71 and the 6V92 and 8V92.
Awesome truck and video!

Loudstar 1800...oof. it's awesome if you're driving short distances, you're young and you don't care about your ears :*(
I don't see why some people don't add sound dampening material. That could help with the noise.
thanks i was faster than a 12v71 detroit diesel.
