      I have a ninja 400 I can confirm it's fantastic I have 14k miles on my 2023 400. The only complaint I have is the clutch durability. I had to have my clutch rebuilt ONLY because I did a wheelie and drag start and stoplights lmao. But Kawasaki fully rebuilt my clutch under warranty

    A lot of people are changing the exhaust... I'll be honest, I don't hate the stock one! You can be stealthy if you shift early, it's very silent at low RPMs, and at wide open throttle, the sound is actually pretty good I think!
    By the way, this is not my first bike. I come from a bigger bike. I prefer the 400. Sure the power isn't the same... but being under 400cc, my plates are dirt cheap, so is my insurances, the bike was cheap... And I'm having an absolute blast abusing a smaller bike, as opposed to having to feather a big bike in order to stay alive and/or keep my license. With this I can have a lot of fun at wide open throttle, and I am still safe, and almost legal XD
    While I haven't been to the track yet, the 400 is supposed to be a monster on the track. Very nimble, again, not the fastest in the straights because of the power, but it's like the miata of bikes. Amazing little track toy. And again the bike is cheap so if you send it in the dirt... You're not gonna cry as bad as if you'd wreck an H2R XD

    Hello brother, love from GA. I picked up a 2023 ninja 400 also last october! It's been great, although im not gonna lie, I already feel like im kind of out growing the thing. Maybe im just going crazy but I feel i have to hunch over more recently as of riding it, it's more in my torso where it's more discomfort rather than my legs being long as the issue. On the flip side it's been excellent as a beginner and my first motorcycle i've ever owned. I live up near the mountains so plenty of amazing roads here.

    I think if you do get a literbike, the ninja 1000sx is a good option for you. Nice ergos and quite a bit of power.
    Also you’d probably want to track your ninja 400. Get to the point where you don’t mind if it gets beat up and it’ll make a track bike that you can really push yourself on!

    I started on a Versys 650 but i wish i started with this bike. The Ninja 400 is just so light and low to the ground it would be nicer for around town commuting then the heavy and tall versys.
    The power is nice on the 650 but i dont really get to use it most of the time and barely ever get it above 3rd gear.

    I'm in the market to buy my first sportbike, have done a lot of research and narrowed it down to three bikes, the Ninja 400, Yamaha R3 or the
    Ninja ZX-4RR.
    I'm leaning towards the ZX-4RR because I love the exhaust note of an inline 4 engine, it just screams and sounds like you're going insanely fast when you are going Legal speeds.
    Did you consider the ZX-4RR?
    600 or 1,000 Supersport bikes are kind of pointless around town because you will not be doing much shifting or wringing them out, and they are soooo fast even on the highway to have fun on them you will be breaking the law big time.

    • @DaggRevs
      @DaggRevs  Рік тому +1

      I would definitely recommend going with the ZX-4RR IF its in your price range. If you are comfortable with more power, the ZX-4RR wins. It does, however, weigh in at about 60lbs more and will be noticeably heavier then its predecessor, the ninja 400, so it won't be as flickable. (the R3 is around the same weight as the Ninja 400 as well.)
      Personally I would have loved to start on the ZX-4RR but I am happy with my current bike. Hope this helped and whichever one you go with enjoy it!
      Ride safe.

    • @dylan8321
      @dylan8321 Рік тому +2

      Something to note is that the ZX-4RR is double the price of the 400 right now. So if money isnt an issue, the 4RR is a good bike but you arent getting that much for an additional 7k. Im in the process of looking for my first sportbike as well.

    • @DaggRevs
      @DaggRevs  Рік тому +1

      @@dylan8321 The price is not justifiable at all for the 4rr, but if you want the inline 4 sound, performance, etc.
      Up to the buyer really. Also, I completely agree with you on that fact that the ZX-4RR's price is inflated as hell. The budget option would be the Ninja 400.

      Consider the 450SS from CF Moto. You won't be disappointed. Mine rocks with more HP than Ninja more break away speed than Honda cbr500r. Upgrades are available from manufacturer, and building aftermarket support.

    I’m torn between the 400 and 650 ninja. I currently have a dual sport that only puts down 24hp and the fastest I really go is like 75mph. Just looking for a quicker road focused bike to add to the garage. What do you think would be better for me?

    • @DaggRevs
      @DaggRevs  Рік тому +2

      You'd be saving around $2,000 if you went with the 400, (assuming that you're getting a brand new bike.) For the Ninja 650, you do get a tft display, which could be a deal breaking factor for some people.
      The power between those two bikes, in my honest opinion, isn't TOO different. They are quite similar at what they do and the only real night and day difference is the tft display plus 2 traction control settings on the 650.
      Ninja 650: 68hp 47 lb-ft of torque
      Ninja 400: 45hp 27 lb-ft of torque
      I'd try to sit down on either of the bikes to get a feel of them, maybe test ride even. See which one you like more and go from that. You can't really go wrong with either of them, its just up to personal preference.
      Whichever one you go with, ride safe and enjoy 👍
      Side note: The 650 weighs almost 60 lbs more, so its not as nimble or flickable as the ninja 400
