We ought to at least bless the radio in Burnett Stone's house for playing this song for a short few seconds in the entirety of TATMR, because I highly doubt that we would have been able to listen to this 3-minute masterpiece today without that scene!
Originally, this song was supposed to be in a flashback of Bernett Stone and his deceased wife Tasha Stone
I’ve always loved TATMR even from my childhood but now whenever I listen to this song I’m overwhelmed by emotions. One heck of a song.
“Some things never leave you.” They stay forever in your mind, thinking about what could have been your future. Knowing they forgot you. Knowing that the finale hello and the final good bye was never seen untill now. They left you, but not when you think about them untill asleep. Loving what is gone, and never getting it back.

Such a relaxing, romantic song. Would so suit Burnett and Tasha. But then, it's only heard on the radio. 😕 But that's the beauty of listening to it on the soundtrack. 🙂

It’s a great song but not the best in my opinion ,My favourite song from Thomas is The Island song from season 3/4.
I played this at my brothers last day of work, he was moving to Missouri, and we both grew up together in Florida, I’m 47 and he’s a little younger. But something’s never leave you, when it comes to family and friends that are like family members.
This reminds me of my grandparents. This is the first movie I can remember watching with my grandma.
I felt sorry for poor Burnett Stone, after tragically losing his wife.

I don't have any grandparents anymore since today...But still remember I had some nice times with them.(unless with my grand-father,my mother's father,which I've never known...)

Say what you will about Magic Railroad (be good or bad from what I've seen), you gotta admit this is a pretty well done song

In fact "Some Things Never Leave You" was originally going to appear in a flashback with Burnett and Tasha dancing, but because of the flashback having P.T. Boomer in it, it was cut and moved, because of test audiences complaining that P.T. Boomer was too scary for children. P.T. Boomer was originally the main antagonist of the film but after he was cut, he was replaced by Diesel 10, who was originally the secondary antagonist of the film.

As the sound of Lady's magic echoed through the night on Muffle Mountain, the engines on Sodor kept her very much in their thoughts.

In Thomas's dream where he finds himself in a mountainous area of Sodor, there is a layer of fog beneath him as he slowly makes his way along the tracks, he sees Lady approaching him. The narrator explains that Lady was a very special steam engine who works with Rusty in the mountains
