I literally came to UA-cam to find a good playthrough of this game when I saw this in my sub box! Super happy you're new to the series because I am too, and it's way more enjoyable for me to watch a beginner work his way through it than an expert. Thanks and I hope to see more!!
80 hours in with my first playthrough and I do say the game lives up to the hype!! Favorite thing by far will always be the opening, that narrator went above and beyond!! He deserves a medal!!

Managing your stamina is key in these games. You can pull enemies from a group using a bow if you're a melee build. Reduce your equipment load so you don't fat (slow) roll. The rolling mechanic or even better the parrying mechanic in these games is the secret easy mode. Mastering them goes a long way.
You can actually see hollow getting used to some of the mechanics quickly, cant wait to see more from this!

Tips: keep equip load under 70% for faster rolling. If you die in an area you don't have to beat every enemy again just run back to get your runes and keep progressing. Also patience and don't get greedy. Enjoy!

I need more of this. I love watching people go through souls games for the first time, and you have not disappointed. As a souls veteran I myself have died multiple times already and I'm loving the punishment
