When I first watched the gameplay video, I thought is might be too easy to advance in the career too. I thought it might be nice to have a 50/50 chance of earning the upgrade each day if the para was ambitious, and a 25% chance for an upgrade if the para was lazy. But like you said, we don't know the economy yet. Things may be more expensive that what we are used to in other life sim games.
As a Patron, I feel like one of the less known posts by the general public is the one explaining their art direction because we still see comments all the time on Discord and their social media complaining that the art style of the characters doesn't match the art style of the backgrounds when that's by design. It's not a bug, it's a feature. 😋
Are the careers a little too easy? Hard to say because we don't know how much Paras need to spend in a day. As you have mentioned, the figures may change as this is just a preview of the game. However, I do find having upgrades everyday is a little too easy. Perhaps this might be an added challenge in the game, maybe Paras who come to work in a bad mood won't get an upgrade? I do think the options that have pros and cons and depending on the playing style. So would you want to increase skills faster, or want more money to buy nicer things? Finally I do think the career system in Paralives is pretty solid and it seems very fun. It is also not linear, with options that you could play out differently, also the chance cards with career change options while socializing can throw a wrench in climbing the career ladder.
Just wanting to know, how many of yall dropped sims 4 already and stop buying its bundles, gamepacks, dlc what ever it is out there that EA decide to scam us with over priced broken stuff. For me its been a solid 2 years, and you know what also? I dont miss the sims community at all, ESPECIALLY its discord server for mods etc.
Three years ago for me. Mods were the only thing that made it worthwhile in the end, which is disappointing since I spent way too much money on it already. Deleted all the files to make space on my computer and I haven’t regretted it once
I think the economy will be fine so long as we don't get any bonuses like in the Sims on upgrading. If it only means 15 more paradimes per day and not +300 for upgrading, then +15 more per day, this will reduce the amount of money your paras earn significantly. Looking at the bills, I know she's low rank / entry level job, but it would take her 4 days to be able to afford her bills in a week at the base pay, and she is in a starter home. (4 days because she probably loses the unemployment bonus, making the bills cost 533 not 433). I think not having bonuses would really help to make growth feel more gradual and balanced.
I think there should be some sort of experience system. That dictates how long it might take to get an upgrade. Or even have like a charisma stat involved where the Para tries to convince their boss to give them a raise
I think having upgrades costing different amounts of upgrade points can help the problem of gaining more money feeling too easy.

I also think we need more videos explaining paralives' artistic direction so that people understand.
Straight up intention doesn't make the decision better

It's the reason for this intention that makes decisions better.
I'm so excited for this game.

It's too early to tell, let's wait for the game to come out or the economy is in place.

everything about paralives reeks of a scam
too cartoony
No, it's not
Wait until Life By you or InZOI releases then
