As a buckeye fan, chip Kelly’s schemes have made us and kept us competitive on a national stage in recent years via Ryan day. This man is changing how b10 football is played and I can’t wait for ucla to join the conference

It will be interesting to see how 2023 shapes up for UCLA...
Chip's got a lot of new pieces.
A QB competition between DTR's backup (Ethan Garbers), a transfer from Kent State (Collin Schlee), and a five-star recruit who is among the nation's top prospects (Dante Moore)
A new RB transfer who looks to fit right into the Charbonnet mold of bruising, downhill running (Carson Steel)...and ranked #9 nationally in total yards in last year w/ a 5.2 yd/play avg.
Three new receivers from the transfer portal (Sturdivant, Ford, Matavao), 2WRs & a TE from Cal, USC & OR where they all had quality playing time and TDs to their credit
That matches with a pair of four star WR recruits (Jeremiah McClure, Grant Gray) which should allow a lot of options for whoever wins the QB role.

Chip Kelly in 2013 as a rookie head coach in the NFL in Philly was solid. Michael Vick was Chip Kelly's first Pro football quarterback in 2013 when he was hired in 2013 the year that former eagles head coach Andy Reid was fired and then hired by the Kansas City Chiefs!!!

Chip was also the first coach to call an RPO in the NFL.

While I'm happy Kyle Shanahan is the HC of my 49ers, I still feel Chip should have been given more time with there. The deck was really stacked against him.

Square peg square hole. Chips makes holes to fit his players.
Some coaches (Cristobal) beat players into the shape of his holes. Square peg round hole.
    Which wins most?

Yeah Mario Cristobal is a known hole beater. He has no remorse for all the holes he's beaten

I mean Chip had a big hand in this. I would add Dan Mullen, Rick Rod, and Art Briles adding their various of the zone read, or veer concepts

My favorite offense in college football is Urban Meyers offense. The downhill, power spread, play action scheme is the best imo. Passing to run sounds soft

As an Eagles fan I just don't understand why this man still has a job Kelly along with Bill O'Brien has to be two of the worst coaches of the modern era😡

    • @evanallouche
      @evanallouche  Рік тому

His system just wasn’t compatible with the nfl, since the skill level is so much higher. Kelly’s offense works on exploiting the fact that most kids in college can’t be in two places at once (cover a large area of the field simultaneously) and in the nfl… most guys can.
As far as BOB, I shared your perspective until I actually studied a bit and he’s good schematically on offense, just don’t let him manage anything…

@@evanallouche agree with you 100% they're great when it comes to running an offense my beef is their personnel decisions I'm still a bit salty about how he ruined the Vick/McCoy/Jackson era Eagles that team along with O'Brien's Texans had potential to be powerhouses before they killed it
