How did you minimize wow and flutter in your porta 2?

i don’t know! it’s a barely used machine so the motor is consistent 🤷🏻‍♂️

The trick is to get it so there's minimal visible waver of the flat belt between the pulley and the flywheel. I've found the following to be helpful ;- adjust the while plastic screw thing that adjusts how much the flywheel can move vertically to minimise belt waver; a spot of AMS oil where the spindle joins the motor oil; sand the flywheel with high grit sandpaper so its as smooth as possible; use a heavier thicker belt; replace the electrolytic capacitorson the cassette player daugherboard and within the servo board of the motor itself; add a fresh pinch roller; lubricate all the mechanisms; put a little felt or something perpendicular to the capstan belt beside the motor to dampen its waver.
