Owning a Specialized Roll myself it has that secret sauce in terms of ergonomics and a comfortable bike seat that puts it over any other bike. This video is spot on
Recently found a Roll online used. Went and test rode it and have about 50 miles on it now. Love it. It's such a comfortable cruise. I had never heard of the Roll but I'm glad I came across it.
Have put over 150 miles on my Roll and the bike is awesome. I test drove many types Trek, Sedona, Fuji, and something else and came back to the roll. It is a smooth ride, smooth shifting, and even though the one I bought doesn't have disc brakes it stops adequately. Would have to say for a beginner and a larger guy this is a very good bike to start on. Might have to change out the seat post for a little more cushion but the big tires handle a lot also.
I´ve tried the Roll and it was fantastic. I had bought a Specialized Rockhopper and it was pretty uncomfortable so I changed it for a Roll. I just want to cruise the city without breaking my back.
With the more upright stance you are putting a lot less weight on the front fork compared to a road or mountain bike so front suspension is much less important.
Well...After looking at big box store bikes and spending sometime yesterday looking at the Giant Sedona and Sun bikes I came across the Roll at a different shop today and even without even riding the bike It had a quality feel above the others and they just did not reach out and grab me like the Roll did.Still looking as I have not even owned a bike since....1966.So more research is warranted for these prices.
I have a Roll Sport and love it. I’m older and back and neck issues require that I not be hunched forward and holding my head up like you find in a downhill mountain bike. Also, it was a nice touch in adding Paul McCartney in that last interview ;) He looks well :)

I got my Roll this week. Very difficult to find right now.
Which has the best customer service? I've gotten nothing but the runaround from Specialized.

I wish the Trek Verve 3 is part of the test.

Looking at the video it does not look like you get alot of leg extension,. The person riding it is standing upmthe whole time.
I just bought the Specialized Roll Sport and absolutely love it.
Whats the difference between bike #5 and bike # 6?
What a bike thanks for getting the word out.
How could the Roll feel better over the ladder than the Giant with the suspension fork, do fat tires account for that much shock absorption?
Super Kyle suspension fork might be crappy too.
Yes they do.
the Roll have a suspension seat post - plus the 27.5 inch tires are great
Tire pressures could have been set more optimum on the Roll since that is clearly the bike they are pushing here.

...la numero 6 es la que yo tengo !, es realmente una preciosidad !!
