Country isn't marketable and frankly this song just isn't good she can definitely sing but let's not overhype her either. She only got to do this song because she was famous in a hit show. Compare this to Ariana grandes songs during her Nickelodeon run. It's obvious why some actors successfully crossover to music and others don't.

She was singing put your hearts up and pink champagne… it was cringey and awful and she would also agree that it was that’s why she hates her old music. Not to mention the majority of her songs were just samples and covers from other artists. Most of the songs on Ariana’s first album were either a sample or sounded very nick like as well. If Jeanette would’ve kept going she definitely would’ve blown up. The difference between her and Ariana was that Ariana was consistent bc she had the support of her family and business partners. Jeanette didn’t. She was forced to perform and was also discouraged from growing as an artist because they just wanted her to be strictly Sam. Also she was discovered as a singer originally and then she later got the role for Sam.

I mean I would also be disapproving if my 18 year old was dating an over 30 year old, but the way her mom treated her of everything and not allowing her to make decisions without controlling and everything her mom did as a child like molesting her as a teenager and showing her how to starve herself is worse then not allowing her to have a boyfriend.
