No excuse for rudeness. Having lost my hubby to brain cancer 5 yo ago it’s made me much more tolerant of others as we never know what someone else is REALLY going through behind closed doors. When I rang them to ask about the Clariti was told it would be good for coasters in moulds...would have appreciated lady telling me at the time it wasn’t heat resistant as I subsequently bought it. 😞Lovely result by the way Julie!👏🌸
Thank you for sharing that about the resin company that was rude. I dont care how good a product is I refuse to buy from a company with poor customer service and calling and being rude is def not called for! I love stone coat. Love these coasters!
Love the birds!! Love the coasters!! And Barnes 😔. You were absolutely correct in assuming that ‘heat distortion’ is the same as saying the resin wont get damaged below 145 degrees....aka heat resistant up to 145. Quite rude of them to talk to you that way. Thanks for sharing and giving such great tutorials You were the very first artist I found when discovering Acrylic pouring and you have just taught me sooo much! Really appreciate all you do!!
This was three years ago so I don't know if you'll read this but I think they're absolutely gorgeous! I think the little bit concentrated gold in the center and then how it breaks up is beautiful. Now you know a lot more than I do so I'm sure just without the center will be absolutely stunning but I like this I like this so much that I saved this video and I love the navy blue. I'd like to see you do something Galaxy with the navy blue and then sparkles in it. Like outer space galaxy beautiful❤❤❤
The blobs that you seem to not like make me think of the iris of an eye, so mesmerising! This is what makes OOAK art so magic. These coasters are absolutely stunning 🥰. Thank you for sharing.
And I’ll never even try to use them after you got that phone call 😡 I love the blues, the coasters are gorgeous...I’ve got everything now but haven’t had a chance to play! Thf✌️😻
Not buying Barnes now! Thought about it as you’ve had such great results. Not an issue because you’ve had success with others. If they only knew how many subscribers you had! Their loss. Love these navy coasters 💙
Julie, I'm a big fan but I sometimes find myself holding my breath in fear for you. I try to emulate your projects n I've learned a lot (thank you). One thing I learned is my heat gun on low is all I need to pop all the bubbles. A torch is too much, unless you have a low setting you aren't using. I'm certain that the resin should never smoke, you stop just before combustion, almost! LOL Maybe, just don't torch it so long? I want to keep watching and playing along forever, so please be safe! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎
Shame on barnes clarity for being so rude to you, they can shove their product, you Ms. Julie are amazing and everything you do is absolutely beautiful, thank you for sharing with us we love you, shame on you barnes clarity.
I'm curious; what would happen if you filled the spaces in the silicone mold 3/4 full with the 'geode' & once it's dry, put the clear resin on top of the geode to fill up the rest of the mold? Instead of popping them out, putting them on top of cups & doing the clear resin afterwards.
@@jenoliver462 some people do that, nothing would happen except that 3D separation between the clear and other design beneath it. Some people fill their moulds all the way then wet sand the top layer then put the clear resin on top to produce a shiner effect which does look pretty cool. But you have to be very careful when doing that method and I would recommend looking at a few videos first. I know this was a long time ago but I noticed you didn’t get an answer 🥰
Love your videos, so sorry they gave you a hard time very rude and I’d have read that exactly the same as you did. Love to see you feeding the birds so sweet
I’ve used Barnes for about 2 years now. I just received a $500 order too. But I’m not going to support a business who attacks creators, especially someone who would have helped them sell out. (I bought clarti because of you). They can shove it.
I love watching your videos! Honestly, you're my favorite and you seem like such a sweet lady. Even though i don't know a thing about you, I feel like you're a long time friend. I hope to have as much talent as you do when I make my coasters.
This is late but yes your vision of what you were seeing in your pour I could easily see it as well! Very gorgeous and too bad about the gold blob on back!❤️❤️❤️
Well, I'm glad that Clariti was sold out when I went to buy resin last week, but unfortunately I did buy 10L of epoxy glass as I only make art, not coasters......I must say, they were lovely when I dealt with them. I think you got a person on a bad day, still no excuse for them to be nasty 😔🙄. Love your birdies, love your coasters, and have a wonderful day tomorrow!!
Omg im only at the part where you show the gold close ups wow I am so blown away at how pretty it looks thank you for doing what you think are little mistakes and showing us closeups as a photographer thats important to me those closeups. you are teaching us so well and even tho the video is longer then i expected there is always something important that you say that no one should miss! just so awesome i cant wait to make my own ive skipped many of my shows to watch your creations better then the TV.
Cold winter down there..... 87° f here in the mountains of North Carolina, U.S.A.!! These navy remind me of part of the solar system. Very nice. I simply love the beautiful birds that grace your yard!! Especially the kookaburras. Don't know if i spelled that correctly.
Julie, if the blob on the back bothers you, maybe take a very good fine tip gold pen and draw some very light rays coming from it. You could then seal the back by brushing on a light coat of art coat. And as a side note, the people at Stone Coat are a wonderful family owned business. Their customer service is excellent.
I love how the kookaburra's turn up for a feed along with all the others it would be so much fun 🤗🤗🤗 . That lady who called you from Barnes had no right to be so rude and I totally agree with you and stop using their product...goodonya! Love these navy blue and gold coasters. I’ve learnt so much from you Julie thank you so much 😊. Can’t wait for you to do the red coasters🤗🤗🤗🤗
Ooops, I didn't finish what I was saying!! I meant to say, please carry on with your lovely videos/tutorials, you make a great teacher. I truly love everything you do. Take care, BBFN, Val (UK). xx
Love to watch you feeding your birds they are beautiful and don’t listen to the others who say they are too long they can fast forward. And Bonds Clarity could have Ben nice about it you have given them free ads. Not the kind of company you want to give business to anyways and neither will I.
I'm so sorry to hear how the person over the call treated you... Wouldn't have been difficult of them to be polite about it. A simple, "Hey thanks for your support of our resin but we wanted to clear up a tiny misunderstanding...." Would have done. Such a shame. 😣 Anyhoo, love these coasters!!! You are spot on about the center looking like the night forest view if laying down, that made me love them even more 🥰
I have been watching your on youtube I love love love your videos. I have started doing resin. I do oil paintings and mixed media now resin. You do fabulous work
I love these Julie, they are so pretty. How rude of that company to phone you and speak to you in that way. Companies, or rather staff seem to be getting ruder and ruder these days. Gone are the days when 'the customer is always right' from my youth (I am 60). If I had spoken to customers in that way, I'd have gotten a warning or even lost my job. There are SO many people on here who get freebies from the companies they use, you are like me, instead of freebies, you get insults!!! I am glad to hear you won't be using their stuff any more.
More fool Barnes! They have just lost free promotion to 200K+ viewers!! Good on you for standing up to them. I would have thought 145 deg celcius would mean heat resistant to that temp ... unless you're putting it in the oven or a pot steaight from the stove, it should tolerate most heats! Dont let them deter you from doing your beautiful work 💕
Yep I've done that. I have really long hair and one day the end of my plait fell straight into a resin project I was doing! About 5cm of the end of my hair was resin soaked. I was horrified. I did get it out surprisingly easy by using hand sanitizer with alcohol in it and rubbing it over the ends of my hair, and then washing the ends of my hair with shampoo and conditioner. It made for some very interesting effects on the tray I was doing at the time. 🙃
I just happened upon your video and it is the best! For months I have had all the supplies to make coasters but was unsure how to even start with all the mica powders, the AI ink & combining it all. To say the least, I have been rather intimidated! Your videos great because you showed everything step-by-step, even the blob in the middle! You have eased my fears and I am ready to do this and if I get a blob in the middle, oh well, you have shown it can be made beautiful! Thanks!
Asshat Barnes should’ve been calling to offer you a sponsorship, as you’ve been such a good ambassador for them. Good on you for telling everyone here, and if I was local there, I’d go in only to tell them I would boycott their stores due to this one extremely bad person. Also, once again, your work is just lovely.
Pam Miller Hi Pam, I was so upset about how Barnes treated Julie I emailed them and told them how disappointed I was and that I would now longer be buying their product. I got a very generic reply. They are so foolish , as you say they should be offering her a sponsorship..
Very pretty. Carbon dioxide releases bubbles. Breathe out over the tops and the bubbles should disappear. The blobs in the middle looks like a planet, they would look great in silver for a moon a stars space theme.
My first thought with the first one out was that it looked like a comet across the night sky. The others like novas or exploding suns, with the blob as the star expanding... Well I am pretty much a space nerd..lol I do see the night sky through the trees... LOVE THEM!!
I’m sorry Barnes was unprofessional and chewed you out. They just lost a good customer. We appreciate the information you give us with each video. I enjoy watching them and seeing your creations.
I use just resin diamond coat. Don’t know if it’s heat resistant or not but it’s an Australian company and I like the finish I get from it. I haven’t tried it for coasters yet but do intend to once I get some time. I use it so far for just doing art pours and on woodwork that I’ve done and it’s come up beautifully. If you haven’t already you should try some of theirs. I don’t think the one I use is intended for casting but I’ve filled voids in wood with it and had no problems
I love these, they are just gorgeous! and I'm so impressed with your molds! and I HAVE bent over and gotten resin in my hair! I had to cut it out! note to self and everyone- when working with resin, PUT YOUR HAIR UP! LOL!
Hi, l use a different resin here in the states. It is heat resistant to 135 degrees. The spec say it us great for coasters for hot beverages. Sorry about the rude Clarity folks. Love your videos! Rose Mary
I know that this video is 3yrs old. I am gradually working my way through your past videos. Which are amazing. I love watching you feed the birds.
No excuse for rudeness. Having lost my hubby to brain cancer 5 yo ago it’s made me much more tolerant of others as we never know what someone else is REALLY going through behind closed doors.

Being an ex Queenslander I love it when you show your beautiful backyard and all the wildlife. Also adore your work.
Brissy Baby
I can't get enough of your videos
How any one could be rude to you ,after listening to you cute voice and attitude you do such a good job teaching us I love your videos thank you 😊
Love watching you work and experiment and love the birds!!!!
Thank you for sharing that about the resin company that was rude. I dont care how good a product is I refuse to buy from a company with poor customer service and calling and being rude is def not called for! I love stone coat. Love these coasters!

I always like when you show the birds I love how many different kinds live in your area. lucky you
l just love all your beautiful birds you feed
I could watch you feed the birds for hours
I see now that we did similar coasters, I also did not have navy, so I mixed mica with alcohol inks. They are beautiful Julie, so elegant!
Love when u show the birds they are beautiful
Love that gold…beautiful Julie
You take all the time you need dear. I love watching and listening to you. Absolutely beautiful coasters. Bravo 👏
Navy blue is my favorite color. These are beautiful.
Stunning! I love the navy and gold. Im really enjoying all your videos. Hugs from Scotland xx

Plenty of others out there. Terrible representation of a company.
I agree, plenty of other brands. Not very smart of them.
Agreed!
Such amazing work
Love the colour very much and the gold goes well with it well done Julie and thank you for sharing
I love watching your videos! Honestly, you're my favorite and you seem like such a sweet lady. Even though i don't know a thing about you, I feel like you're a long time friend. I hope to have as much talent as you do when I make my coasters.

I love seeing the birds you get on your porch, as there is nothing like that in my yard in Florida. And so many too! Those coasters are very elegant.
I absolutely love your work and these metallic colors are beautiful. I'm a GLASS nut so I will always have a part of mine clear.
Thanks Julie for sharing your yard and birds. We sang the Kookaburra song in grammar school many moons ago. 🤣The coasters are lovely.

Love the dark blue. Looks like a star constellation.

You are just so delightful, I have really loved watching the few I have seen so far..
I won't use Barnes either! Wow, the nerve of them! Coasters look great. Cheers
I'm so sorry to hear how the person over the call treated you... Wouldn't have been difficult of them to be polite about it. I’d love to see a galaxy themed coaster by you. Thank you for all of these, love every moment.
julie, you work is lovely.
I just love the birds
I love the stone coat! It has a really long working time and heat resistance is high as well.
Is the Art Coat one heat resistant too?
Pouring Your Heart Out yes! That’s what I use on my custom tumblers. It is Ultra UV Protected and can withstand temps up to 475 degrees Fahrenheit!!!
Stonecoat MY FAVOURITE! I get it from colour obsession in Perth
Beautiful! They look like galaxies! So pretty! Thanks for sharing!

THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL 😍😭 I LOVE THE COLOR COMBO 😍 LOVE IT LOVE IT
Just beautiful. I made my version of blue coasters tonight. I don't even like blue, but you inspired me. ❤
I can’t wait to see your ruby colored glass coasters 😉
Very rude of Barnes. Can't believe they'd treat anybody that way. Anyway, these are beautiful, love the floating gold.
Your work is beautiful, love the gold!!! Love the birds too!
I love myself some dendrites! I love the navy and clear without the gold. Maybe silver for stars😁💕
Your so blessed to have all those birdie friends! Like a real life Cinderella! ❤️❤️❤️
Bonsoir
Tres belle création comme toujours merci 🥰
Ces beaux oiseaux ont la belle vie ❤
Hope I've got the right date. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIE. Have a great one xxxxx
