Mama gurdy honestly is unfair in the og game, the spikes dont really have a cue on when theyre going to spawn. Im glad they actually gave her a sprite rework with visual queues here I do think it lives is a bit too hard though. I mean spawning gurdy jr? I dont know about that one. Definitely happy with scolex though. Hes no longer a "have to wait to attack" boss
She has a visual cue for when she's about to do the move tho She smiles and raises her hand on the air. Knowing where the spikes will pop up is a different story
I like the It Lives changes because it is a more important boss and therefore it makes sense to make it an above average hard boss but i do agree that a gurdy jr is too hard. It could be 2 gurglings instead

i really like this mod! it makes the alt bosses feel more like their own unique fights instead of retextures if edmund made one more booster pack for repentance this should be in it
I'm glad Isaac isn't changed much. When he popped up here my initial thought was "Isaac is fine, the only thing he realistically needs is maybe some boss armor."
With how easy most mods make the game, its great to be able to add some more challenge whilst keeping the vanilla gameplay and graphics. Great mod and showcase!

These are great reworks, some of them are super minor but do all that’s needed to turn a dull boss into a much cooler one. A lot of these bosses have concepts that were just ported over from the original flash Isaac without getting updated much, which had some weirdness due to the limitations of flash. A lot of bosses are reused from others. Triachnid and Lokii were some of my favorite here, and they’re mainly recycled bosses in the base game.
I feel like they did dirty with Daddy Long Legs specially when compared to Triachnid, the visual cue justs confuses me more than it helps and the fight seems more plain than what he used to be.
the triachnid rework is based off one of edmund’s old games (where the actual triachnid came from), so it wouldn’t make sense to give the daddy long legs the same fight

Teratoma was never a good boss neither Fistula 1:52 Maybe they could have made it where another of Mama Gurdy’s attacks were to summon tiny Gurdies. 5:31 Perfect 7:00 Perfect 7:38 Bruh at least they could have made it where he could summon Needles 8:51 Great, maybe the remaining half of Lokii could be enraged and do faster attacks, you know like how mask of infamy, Gemini, Steven, and Sister Vis go on a rage after their twin or whatever dies.. 9:10 Perfect 10:24 Bro no smiting beams? 11:46 Finally new smiting beam attacks
They turned Triachnid into Beady Long Legs (also I hope all the bosses that can be the final boss of a run got reworked because only a few would make the others too easy/hard)

I feel like if they reworked Gate, they should also rework Mega maw, because i have always found them very similar, stationary boss that has a lot of hp, summons a certain enemie, attacks with fire and shoots blood, like also they are like two bigger boss versions of two enemies that are found together most of the time since are the most common, and even in design they are pretty similar, like...a giant head, i feel like they need to be more different, maybe implement some of attacks inspired on the Maw variants could be cool

Scolex, mr.fred, and conquest are the only ones in my eyes that I would actually see ever being a part of the game, let alone being acceptable because every single other boss is way too much bullet Spam.
Gonna be honest, the Conquest fight I don’t really care for. I liked that they originally stay o their horse because it’s the only horseman who does that. Also It Lives is so much more annoying looking. At least the other bosses look sick as all hell

The It Live rework looks great for the most part, but it looks a bit too drawn out. I’m not really a fan of it spawning other bosses as at this heavily hinders the player’s ability to get to Hush.

It's inspired by one of Edmund McMillan's games that go by the same name, but it does look like a Pikmin long legs battle

The best glowups are definitely It Lives and Mama Gurdy. They are much better and fun now.
As soon as i learned about this mod, i added it to my second file, that I'm playing with fiend folio and heavens call, it's awesome.
